I've been coming to El Taco Llama since I was 15 years old (I'm 31 now), so this place holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Over the last 4 years, I honestly felt like the quality across most locations had really gone downhill -- the meat didn't taste the same, the passion in the food wasn't there, and the employees often seemed rude or just completely over it. I stopped going altogether for about a year. Recently, I moved near this location and decided to give it one more shot... and I'm SO glad I did. This location brought back the early 2012 Taco Llama vibes. The food tasted fresh, the meat quality was on point, and everything felt like it was made with care. The employees were genuinely kind, quick, and efficient -- which already stood out. But what really impressed me was even the cook. At most locations, the cooks look angry or like they can't wait to clock out. The cook here, along with the short woman working with him, looked like a solid team. They were focused, calm, and actually seemed like they cared about what they were doing. You could feel the difference. Yes, $14 for a burrito is on the higher side -- I won't lie. But honestly? It was worth every dollar. The flavor, the nostalgia, the whole experience hit. I've been to over 6 different locations, and this is the ONLY one that truly brought back the original Taco Llama feel for me. 10/10. Highly recommend this location. read more

I ordered from this place that's super close to me. My hubby was craving an asada burrito wet. I said ok so we ordered two asada wet burritos one with beans one without. Plus we ordered a few a pastor tacos, chips and guacamole. My burrito was full of rice very little meat plus the wet sauce on top was bland and it tasted like a wannabe enchilada sauce, terrible! The tacos were ok and let me say if you order chips and guacamole, we'll be ready to have tons of chips and very little guacamole! They give you two small little things that are super small but charge so I don't recommend it for the price. What I thought was very tasty non greasy was the tortilla chips and horchata. This is one of my all-time favorite taco places to go today and I have been for many years. I always get the Al Pastor tacos, and the guy always hooks me up with extra cheese and sour cream. One day, I was craving a breakfast burrito with eggs and chorizo and found this place on Door Dash. I'm so glad I got it because it was really good. On another day, I went back to get it again. The worker there was very friendly and suggested I get it with refried beans instead of pinto beans and it made a big difference. It was delicious and their sauces too. I don't know how this place has so many good reviews, was craving Mexican food, but my go-to-place was out of the way, so decided to check Taco Llama, since it was on the way. Ordered the Burria burrito and Enchiladas. It was a little bit over $30 for both items, which was overpriced for what it was, the burrito was dry, and had no flavor, honestly even Chipotle burritos have more flavor, are bigger and are the same price, the enchiladas were also sad...super small with only melted cheese on top, I should have asked what toppings they came with, these only had melted cheese on top, I'm used to my enchiladas having lettuce, cream, cheese and tomato on top, super dry and "white-washed" food. I guess this place is good if you don't know what real Mexican food from Mexico taste like and don't care about flavor. On a positive note, I did get full, since 70% of my burrito was rice...Definitivamente no lo recomiendo. read more

Obsessed. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for breakfast burritos. After a morning hike we were feeling hungry and were looking for a new spot to try. Enter: EL TACO LLAMA! I have seen this location many times when stopping in for a donut at Mama's, but oh man I am kicking myself now for sleeping on them. When we first walked in, the restaurant was super clean...even the grill was spotless. We were the only ones in at the time, so ordering was fast. The woman who took our order was so friendly, it felt like mom was making us burritos. They had all the proper signage posted for Covid, including vaccination checks for dine-in. There are some booths available for diners inside. We ordered two Mexican style breakfast burritos, which included eggs, potatoes, beans, rice, onions and cilantro. The burrito on it's own was a little spicy. BUT THE SALSA!! Oh boy. Love love love. Both the green and red were fresh, delicious and very spicy. Salsa makes or breaks a meal sometimes, and El Taco Llama is doing it right! I also appreciated that they asked how much salsa we wanted and if we wanted chips with our meal (for free what a treat!). We will be back again for more breakfast! For two burritos, it ended up coming out to $24. Is it the cheapest around? Where the fuck do i begin ..... i ordered my family a nice meal upon receiving it from door dash i was very disappointed with with i got my kids didn't receive their cheese quesadilla, my husbands burrito was very bland and lack flavor . The grandkids wanted to eat here last week. Why?! Still not sure. The interior is depressingly old school, the booth seating is very uncomfortable, and the food is not that appealing either. Definitely a carb-loading place, with lots of tortillas, beans, and rice. They do offer a variety of meats, but scant nods to any veggies, at least from what I saw. My quesadilla was okay, but the runny avocado sauce (it could hardly be called guacamole) didn't do it for me. I realize that there's a family here, making a living. The portions are pretty generous and it came with some chips which was nice. The star of the show is definitely the salsa. Both red and green are decently spicy. This is definitely the best Taco Llama in the valley. The food portions are always generous, everything tastes authentic and amazing, and the customer service is excellent. Everytime I come, they are always friendly and attentive. Taco llama has the best salsa, (right along with King Taco in LA), and the best part is they have their salsa available for purchase in 16oz orders. You can't beat their red and green salsas.
