I stopped by this Rigos Taco tonight to pick up my wife order. She usually order from the Glenoaks location but since I was in the area for this location, I told her to try this one. She called into this place and ordered 4 asada tacos. She asked for the plate so it would come with chips and beans. The person who took her order said it would be ready in like 5 or 10 minutes. The plaza this store is in does not have a lot of parking so be aware. Since it's the holiday weekend, there was more open parking so I didn't have any issues finding a spot and parked in front of the store. They were not busy at all and when I told the man working I was there to pick up my wife order, he said there was only one pick up order and the other was doordash order. He give me the red and green salsa. There not much dining table inside here. My wife loved her tacos but wanted more red sauce, so I'll be sure to ask for that when I come back. read more

From the customer service to the food A+ Parking: Shared lot in a little plaza with a 711and a few other spots...enough said..parking kinda sucks sometimes. Service: ordered over the phone for pick up an hour before. The food was warm and ready. The guy cooking and the guy working the front were fast, respectful, and courteous. Food: I ordered a plate of 3 asada tacos with everything and a side of red rice and beans with cheese along with a medium horchata. Everything was delicious! I kinda hoped that the red rice had a more tomatoe-y flavor but it was still good. The beans were delicious! They were made with melted cheese served with a few tortilla chips. I wish there was more of it. I inhaled it! The tacos were delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce on top was just enough to give it a little kick but not overpowering where you don't enjoy it. It wasn't super spicy either. I love tacos so it's hard for me to eat a bad taco. These tacos were pretty cheap! $10 for 5 tacos, so $2 a taco. The meat was slightly dry but the tacos were packed and had a lot of meat. It also came with chips and beans which was nice addition! I also ordered jamaica and it was pretty standard, was too tart or sweet. They no longer serve the large cup for drinks, but charge the same price as a large. The menudo is no longer homemade. The meat pieces are uniform & small & the soup tastes like the canned menudo. . Lastly my menudo was 70% soup & barely any meat. I wonder if it's new owners. These changes suck. Not going back. read more

My first Tacos since moving to Los Angeles from the East coast. Worse than any Tacos I ever had in Philadelphia. The carnitas were dried out. Taste sucked. Tortilla sucked. They barely had any meat. The "Steak," is that carne asada??? I don't know, but it looked like mush. Just wasn't pebly like ground beef. That one tasted ok. $9.00 and you barely got 3 terrible tacos with barely any meat, nothing on top, and some chips with bean dip. I decided to try this spot out since I like getting coffee at the 7-Eleven in the same parking lot some mornings. I asked them if they served a breakfast burrito and the young lady behind the counter said ya we have chorizo and... and I was like stop right there! Sold! She chuckled and asked ok with what else? She mentioned potatoes as an option and I said sounds good! It was kind of pricey at $6.50 but heck even McDonald's sausage McMuffin combos are getting to be about that price level now so oh well. You want to save money... eat at home otherwise you're paying for convenience and hopefully a good tasting meal. Well in this case...I got both because that chorizo breakfast burrito was big and thick (get your minds out the gutter people) with lots of flavor. Don't place phone orders at this location, they will not have your order ready. Food is great and fresh but made me late for an appointment. If I wanted you guys to make it when I got there, I wouldn't waste my time making a call. At least have the courtesy to tell the client you won't cook til we get there so I can order elsewhere and not be late. Just your average Mexican fast food place with nothing special. It always is empty and today when we went to get food they were on break just hanging out. It looked like the place had been dead for an hour. A plus about the place is that they offer a CSUN discount and they are open late. They are a little pricey and there is nothing special. We got the chile Relleno plate and a carne Asada burrito. The Chile Relleno had too much cheese on it, but was okay. The carne Asada burrito was average and you could get it at any place. Nothing else to say about this place. I probably won't come back again because it is just like any other Mexican fast food. I'd rather go to a taco truck. read more

Definitely worth the drive--compared to a couple other locations I would likely drive well out of my way for their super nachos.

While being in school at CSUN, I yelped the nearest breakfast burrito spot. This was the closest walking distance. Not sure if it was the short walk that had me feeling extra hungry, or the simplicity of the very fresh ingredients?? I knew exactly what I wanted on my burrito... beans, eggs, and cheese! The cook looks at me and starts cooking away. Fries the eggs right in front of me and loads it in along with my other toppings in my burrito. I knew then, I was in love! I know it sounds so simple, but I've ordered this same exact burrito before and don't understand how difficult it is to find one just as good as Rigo's. I don't eat tacos, I'll go to Mexico for that. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, especially for a small business., but I spent a good amount here and the food was terrible! The beans don't taste like your typical Mexican style refried beans. Typically small taco shops like this have food that tastes homeroom, just like my grandma's did. This is the farthest from it. My kids and I had to throw everything away. About $40 worth of food in the trash. I'm so disappointed! The meat had no flavor and a ton of grease, the rice was way over seasoned, the beans were the worst of it all. Tastes like I was eating bay leaves and pepper. I've never tasted beans this bad. My friend ordered a guac and chips and literally looked and tasted worse than if you opened a bag of chips and a package of guac from the store and use that. Rigo's Taco 9 has serious taco competition in the immediate area and that does not even include the endless stream of taco trucks. It's a hole in the wall and if you didn't know better, it's the kind of place that looks like it's been there forever even though it just opened in May of 2013. They are limited on space to be sure and that includes the kitchen. Lunch time was busy and the two people working, the counter person and the cook, had a tough time keeping up with the orders. My simple order of 3 tacos and a torta took nearly 20 minutes to fill and the people who ordered after I did got their food first. So onto the food itself. I ordered a Chicken Torta and 3 street style tacos to go. Chicken Torta- A very generous portion on a very fresh roll. The overall flavors were there and this was pretty nicely prepared. Stopped here yesterday on a whim. I was taking the dog back from the dog park. I had promised her that if she was good and didn't bark at other dogs then I would get her a taco. So I'm driving and telling my girlfriend about how one of the best things about the Valley, and LA in general is that you don't really have to go out of your way to 'look for' tacos. So she's just like, "There" and points to this place. So I stopped. Food- It was really really good. I got a carne asada burrito and 3 chicken tacos for my girlfriend and 1 chicken taco for the puppy. The chicken tacos were A-mazing. What little pastor that was included was literally hard and clearly prepared hours and hours prior to my visit. Just go to a taco truck, don't waste your time or money.
