Same great delicious cheap food as the other locations. Seat yourself and service is prompt and accommdating to special requests. I'm really bothered by this location because they allow solicitors inside. During the 20 minutes it took to eat my lunch, 3 different people had come up to my table begging for donations or trying to sell their crafts. I guess it's a nice gesture for the restaurant to allow that but I was just uncomfortable the entire time. read more

We had the Tacos Estilo de Ensenada con mariscos and a Coctel Campechana for lunch along with a couple of Micheladas with XX Lager. The food was outstanding. Not a word I use lightly. I travel a lot and have enjoyed a lot of amazing food. This place is a great sidebar while out on errands. I highly recommend it. You can't go wrong with our order. Each star was well earned. You may find it strange that a land-locked state has tasty seafood but here you have it, a defiance of expectations. The shrimp ceviche tostada I had was absolutely lip-smacking. Tart, sweet, savory and addictive. I could have eaten a dozen. Only thing is that it is a mess to eat! All those delicious juices threaten the structural integrity of the tostada and everything collapses in an embarrassing splash. But that won't stop me from eating it. I also got a small seven seas soup which was way more substantial than I thought it would be. There's about a pound and a half of seafood packed into a small bowl and drenched in a delicious fish broth (which is not fishy at all). For my taste there was a little too much octopus and not enough shrimp but all the components were tender. I also saw some of the seafood cocktails coming out of the kitchen and they looked phenomenal. Next time... The walls of the restaurant are decorated in 3D relief of oceans and mountains but somehow makes everything more cozy than campy. The service was efficient and friendly. If you don't speak Spanish, you are likely to be the only one speaking English with the waitresses but everyone will be friendly about your deficiency. When you're ready to pay, just saunter up to the counter. A pleasant surprise for sure. Might become one of my Tucson staples. read more

Well there are 6 of these in Tucson. I understand the owners are related? But they are owned by different people. So you will find both some variations in menu and some changes in the actual dishes themselves. Well the table was really sticky and they needed to boost the air conditioning. We were the only table at 7 pm and then a few other tables strolled in. My partner's fish tacos were good and we both liked the sauce - nice and a bit spicy. My whole fish with garlic was okay - a strange mix of over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. It came with a huge salad and french fries. I will not order it again. This place is a train wreck. We ordered 3 bowls of ceviche but when we got home we discovered they gave us shrimp coctail instead. We called, no problem mistakes happen. We were told save our receipt for next time we were in. I have now been sitting in their restaurant for 30 minutes, counting flies and code violations, waiting for them to find someone who has the authority to fix the order . For Christ sake, just take care of your customer it was only a $35 order. Sad thing is, if they ever get a manager on the phone, there is no way I'm eating it. I hope the other Mariscos have different ownership, since my kids love the ceviche read more

I ordered take out and was very dissapointed... I've had Mariscos Chihuahua at other locations and always have had a good experience.... I ordered the toritos which is a chile güero stuffed with shrimp (I think) and wrapped in bacon... also the Camarones Culichi... both were a disappointment.... the toritos were in a sauce that tasted bland... the culichi wasn't spicy at all and there was only 3 shrimps that weren't cleaned there was some pieces of shells in the sauce... read more

Went in the other day and ordered food. They brought the wrong food out to us and then argued that was what we ordered. They basically said because we are "white" we don't know what we are ordering and we made the mistake not them (I'm Mexican). They refused to give us any sort of refund or make us the proper food instead. Maybe it's for the best considering I could see unrefrigerated containers of salsa under the counter being brought to guests along with the servers touching the cash register money then the food without washing hands. Not to mention they didn't have any face masks on in the middle of this pandemic. Perhaps the only thing worse then the serves/management here is the hygiene. I will not be coming back and I truly advice everyone else who cares about themselves to not eat here as well. 10/10 would no recommend! read more

We finally made it to this wonderful little Restaurant. We moved here from Maine 4 months ago. We have been looking for some good Seafood. I must admit I wasn't expecting greatness. Our experience with Seafood in Tucson hasn't been successfully met. We arrived to a cute little dining room. We were warmly greeted. The menu was Shrimp heavy. I wasn't sure what to order. I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail, it was done like they do it in Campeche. It was perfect. The broth had that wonderful Shrimp richness, the vegetables perfectly executed. The Shrimp were perfectly cooked. If you have never had Shrimp Cocktail like this, please try. It's like eating a Shrimp based Gazpacho. I then ordered Shrimp Culichi. Sorry to be trendy and on point but OMG! what a dish. This dish is awesome. It's very rich and full bodied. It's creamy texture with Green Chile base is one of the best Shrimp dishes I have eaten. The Shrimp again were not over cooked. I wanted to lick my plate. I don't understand the sides. I had fries, rice, iceberg salad. I could have done without the fries and salad. My husband had Fish Filets with veggies. He loved his dish. Fresh fish and not over cooked. Overall, it was a Fantastic meal. We had been to Kingfishers. I think it could be a great find. However, I think they are their worst enemy. Fish and Chips, were very greasy and cold. Clams so salty you couldn't eat, when I complained I was made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about by the owner Chef. I know sometimes clams can be salty. This wasn't the question. He didn't get it! Why in heck would you serve clams so salty you couldn't eat? Maybe why they are their own worst enemy. It was a bad experience with an arrogant uninformed Chef. Really delicious seafood for a small place. Good price for good quality shrimp. Can't remember the names of our dishes, but one had a jalapeno red creamy mushroom type of delicious sauce with large shrimp and lots of sides. The other was shrimp in a green pabloma sauce. Both dishes had pictures on the menu so that plus the nice waitress helped us make our decisions.Very tasty. Corn tortillas were steaming hot yumminess. I use to love this place but number one reason I won't becoming back is customer service and there food. I bought a campechana and an order of oysters. Oysters were the the bomb. But the campechana was very salty. When the waiter asked if everything is okay I shook my head no it's not she walked away and said thank you and bounced and assisted and walk to another table. My husband and I got up and paid out tab. It's not like we where not going to pay for our food. As we are checking out the waiter complained to us that why did we say anything? I'm not trying to argue but I did shake my head no I'm not okay and you walked away. She stood there and just argued with us. We paid our bill and didn't tip here. Would I recommend this place no I would not customer service is horrible. Food is awful. To top it all off when I looked the back the chief wasn't even wearing a face mask. 1. $20 dollars for a meal. 2. Food is bland and tasteless. The diablo shrimp was my meal. The shrimp was spongy, the sauce was tasteless (proposed to be spicy). Paid $20 dollars for 10 misshapen shrimps that were probably unfrozen right before being cooked. 3. All the food is shoved onto a fish shaped plate. Entree, sides and salad, one plate. The fries were soggy touch the entree bowl, they were cold where touching salad and unseasoned. The rice was the only edible portion on the plate. Even the table chips were bland, tasted old and the salsa tasted of watered down tomato juice. 4. Service was horrid. The waiter was eating her lunch during peak lunch hours. Meanwhile we are staring at our uneaten plates waiting for her to bring the check. 5. A vendor or pirated movies and cds going table to table and the staff acted as if this is normal day to day behavior. 6. this place has by far the worst customer service don't get me wrong i enjoy the food from mariscos chihuahua but this location i will never go to i work near this place and i will go out of my way to drive to the one on grant or order by out because the waiters at the 6th avenue location are so rude ive had friends and relatives gone through the same bad experiences as me i was glad to hear that because at least i know now i'm not the only one. the last draw for me was when i tried making a take out order. the waiter by the name of zulema was taking my order by phone as soon as she answered my call she sounded irritated but i still proceeded on making my order at the end of the order i asked her to remove one of the items because i had just order it to replace an item i wanted to order but they were out of it and by the way she responded back at me i'm guessing she got mad because i removed one of the items she asked me with an attitude "are you going to order or what?" and i answered her confused by her response i said of course i'm going to order i'm placing an order so i asked for her name since she was being so rude and she hung up on me this is a quick review i'm writing just to let people know about the poor customer service that they offer in this place if you feel like enjoying mariscos chihuahua go to the mariscos chihuahua on grant or ina the owner at least trains there employees to have some kind of respect read more
