Disclaimer: I'm not an avid coffee drinker so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I ordered the blueberry latte which seemed to use a darker roast due to the bitterness of the coffee. Personally, I think a lighter roast or milder coffee would fit in better with fruit syrups (reason why Matcha + fruit syrups is such a great combo!) The coffee shop doubles as art studio where you can buy packages to do a paint night. Additionally, the shop itself seems like a nice place to study/work with ample seating and tables. Other big wins for this place are no extra charge for alternative milks and 25% off during soft opening. read more

I entered this place looking for a quiet place to study. I was planning to work on a research paper so I tried to find a table with an outlet because I was expecting to spend at least a couple of hours. I was willing to order more than just a cup of coffee while I stayed at the place, but all the tables with outlets were taken by other customers. There was one table in the corner that was empty but had unattended stuff on top so I guessed it belonged to the owner. I kindly asked the barista if I could use the table if it is not being used currently by the owner/manager. Barista went out side to talk to the owner/manager whom at the time has been chatting with her friends at an outside table since I entered the place. The manager came inside to talk to me, and basically told me the spot is reserved for owner and could not offer me that table. I found it peculiar that the owner would deny the use of the space in the cafe for her personal use even if the she was not using the space and there were plenty of other tables that she could've used it as her "office space", but I understood that it was her business and it was her prerogative to do just that. Then, I was trying to decide if I should stay at the place and was trying to remember if I had enough battery power on my laptop to get some work done without the outlet use. While I was thinking the owner abruptly said she would give me a refund for the drink that I have ordered if I were to go somewhere else. Initially, I was partially confused because her tone and attitude came off as if she was trying to make me leave, but that notion became clearer as she insisted that I go somewhere else after getting a refund. I had to explain to her that I was still debating in my head, but she went on to tell me that I was being a hard customer by having a such request and not being able to comply with accommodations she offered me (she hardly gave me any choices for me to think about before telling me that I can go somewhere else with a refund). I get that business owners have the right to refuse services to anyone, but it didn't feel good when she basically denied service for asking a small request that on my end, was not even a big deal. I get that people have different ways of conducting small businesses, (I owned a study cafe before) but I cannot really agree with small business owners who use their business venue as their playground to invite friends to talk while denying service to customers who wants to use their work space while its not being used by anyone. read more

We arrived here for their soft opening today. Once we stepped in, their interior feels very aesthetically pleasing. We ordered their cold brew with their sweet caramel foam. For the taste , it tastes like really authentic . You can definitely tell they've used quality beans. They also have free painting but you'll need to reserve a spot bc it's limited ! I got a iced matcha latte with macadamia milk and it was very good. It was very rich in flavor and not too bitter, all the past cafés that were here before this one were alright, but this one is definitely the best by far!! Amazing tea and service! The guy in the front, Miguel is such a sweetheart! He asked me how my day was and gave me everything I asked for. He even doubled checked my temperature to make sure everything was perfect. When I told him everything was great he even changed the music in the background to my favorite song, "A thousand miles." The ambiance was amazing, very clean and study friendly. The parking is decent as well. I would recommend coming here for their fresh brewed specialty teas! I meant to study at this location one day but they were closed (I think it was a Tuesday?) so came back on the weekend just to grab a drink and try a pastry! We stopped by a little later in the day around ~2:30 pm so they were mostly out of all their baked good items. They still had the matcha-misu left though which was one of the items I wanted to try so I got that & a biscoff latte. The matcha-misu was really good with a strong matcha flavor and light cream and airy cake texture. The biscoff latte on the other hand was pretty disappointing because it had no biscoff flavor & tasted like something I could've made at home. I will say the coffee was strong though but I think we were just looking for a sweeter option. The workers/ maybe owner(?) was super sweet though & they're a dog friendly space! They have treats and water for your pups which I thought was really nice. This would be a great space to study too as there's a handful of tables & there were a decent amount of young people working on a Saturday. Margin Café is the best coffee place in town! The owners are super nice and sweet, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the shop. The place is always clean and neat and the coffee is yum, so chocolaty and nutty! They also have many options of plant-based milk you can choose, and there is no additional charge! It's a huge plus for vegetarians and people who can't tolerate dairy. Today, I tried the Matcha latte with Sesame milk. It was so smooth and creamy. I really enjoyed it. This is a cute little coffee shop that I would revisit as a hangout spot or to do some work. I tried the cinnamon twist and iced biscoff latte, which were both really good. The latte had just the right amount of caffeine and sweetness. Not really much of a coffee person, but I enjoyed the latte and would get it again. They also have a rewards program you can join. First time to visit this cafe. Owners are very nice and the cafe is very clean. They have setup 3 areas where you can purchase painting supplies and spend some time painting a picture - kinda cool if you want to do that. I tried their salted vanilla cold brew and it was good. Coffee was strong but a little light in the vanilla flavor, perhaps I let the ice melt too much.
