We have been getting pizza from Marco's for 8 years. We are older and the small is the prefect size for the 2 of us.

This place stinks. We have ordered ahead multiple times and it is NEVER ready when it says it will be. There is ZERO point to offering an order ahead service if you can't get it together enough in the shop to actually have the food done on time. This was the last time we will go to this place after yet again the food not being ready. On top of that, today we ended up having to have it remade because the employee put CINNAMON on our pizza. The pizza is decent but that doesn't matter, neither does the proximity to our home - when you can't get the food made on time while Ordering ahead to fit the needs of your schedule. Waiting 30 minutes on an order ahead pizza is absolutely ridiculous. read more

I'm writing this review because of an amazing employee named Skylar. I accidentally placed the wrong order online, and instead of just fulfilling it (which would have been understandable), she trusted her instincts, noticed something seemed off, and called to double-check that the order was actually what I wanted. That level of attention and care is hospitality at its finest! I truly appreciate her doing that, because I didn't even catch the mistake myself and it would have completely ruined my kids' pizza. On top of that, when our order was running late, she didn't wait for it to become a problem, she proactively called to give us a heads-up and offered solutions! Skylar is clearly service-first and genuinely cares about the customer experience. She absolutely made (saved) our night lol. read more

Went in on Saturday to pick up two medium pizzas. One pepperoni and one with white sauce. The white sauce was nonexistent and the pizza was super dry and lacking flavor. Service was fine, but someone needs to talk to the cashier about appropriate eye contact bc he was staring at me like I had 3 heads. read more

I ordered this pizza as part of my commitment to supporting local restaurants and boy was it good! I ordered backed wings which were okay. Not bad but not great. I made my own pizza and it was delivered hot and tasty. The crust was prepared just right - soft on the inside while being toasted and well seasoned on the perimeter. I asked for extra cheese, which I could have used a little more but the pizza was very cheesy. The onions and bell peppers tasted fresh chopped and the sausage and pepperoni were very tasty. Finally, they offered anchovies!!!! Yay, I love anchovies on pizza. I will order from this place again. I really like the pizza. read more

The app said our medium pizza was ready. When we arrived no one was working the register although there were 6 - 7 people all ignoring us. Someone finally approached and confirmed our pizza was not ready and hadn't been started. Clearly the app is either not coordinated with the restaurant. Finally got our pizza 45 minutes after arriving and 1 hour and fifteen minutes after ordering. Clearly their systems are broken. read more

Not a lot of parking but two spaces reserved for takeout. Dining in option looks clean and pleasant. Pizza in Texas just isn't great and this is no exception. Decent amount of toppings but dough nothing to write home about. Ordered extra marinara and it came as a side. Corporate pizza. Boneless wings better, with a peppery breading. Tangy BBQ sauce was just that. Nice and tangy. Just not very inspiring or flavorful. I'd return in a pinch but will continue my quest for really good pizza in Denton. read more

We tried Marco's for the first time last night in support of our local spots. We ordered a half and half large, thin garlic crust. The toppings were plentiful and actually were spread to the edge of the crust, unlike most pizzas nowadays where you get the toppings for medium on a large crust...with a couple of inches of bare crust around the outside. The pizza was pretty good, except for the crust - which I consider just as important as the toppings. The crust was forgettable, very crisp, no chew at all, and IF there was any garlic involved, it wasn't noticeable. Still this pizza is acceptable if I can't make it to one of my favorite spots and still better than most of the spots popping up everywhere. read more

I ate here in late February 2020 while visiting some family in Texas. The food was average to say the least. Meatball sub was flavorless, pizza was what you would expect for Texas- not good at all. Being from Brooklyn I'm used to really good pizza! Cheesy bread seemed okay. What really bothered me was the staff! They were very rude, but one man in-particular. He wore a hat, he had brown hair and short facial hair. Unfortunately I did not get his name. (I wish I had) I'm a white woman, 33 years old, blonde hair and blue eyes, I had my 12 year old biracial daughter with me and honestly, I had thought for a second that the staff had an attitude because I had my black child with me, but no that's silly I thought to myself. Two customers who ordered after me received their food first. When our food was finally ready I thanked the man at the counter. No response, he turned his back to me and walked away. Okay I thought, that was rude but my daughter & I were really hungry and wanted to dig in. When we were done eating I thanked the same man. "YEP" was his response, he rolled his eyes. Did this man just roll his eyes at me? I'm a pretty calm person, but that got me angry. "Is there a problem?" I asked. The man said Nope, popping the P in his NOPE as he gave me a sarcastic grin. I asked again, Is there a problem because since we've walked in these doors we have felt very unwelcome. He responded with Nope again, followed by c-ya later. At this point I was furious but I decided to leave. I didn't want to cause a scene in front of my child and other customers had seemed to notice that I was getting upset. After I walked out the door I took a quick look back and the male employee along with a female employee were laughing behind the counter while watching us walk out. It took everything in me to not turn around and go back inside, but I didn't. Fast forward to June 2020 and I get a text message from a family member in Texas about the owner of this restaurant, Casey Clark. He had posted racist and insensitive things on FB. I should have listened to my gut feeling at the time. I wish I had said more while in the restaurant that day. I wish I set a better example for my daughter and spoke up a little more. I never write reviews, but I feel this one is deserved. Please don't support this establishment. Hate is a terrible thing and people need to be held accountable for their actions. read more

The Pizza is all we have had here at Marco's. It is a rather generous with toppings and all ingredients seemed very fresh. The pizza sauce we chose was traditional red marinara type and was very tasty. They offer a wide variety of toppings to chose. We have not yet walked into our local Marco's yet because we always have only ordered delivery. Worth a try if your tired of Pizza Hut and Domino's. read more

We ordered two pizzas with lite crust for delivery. One with pepperoni and sasusage, the other with pepperoni and mushrooms with 1/2 green olives as well. We ordered the pizzas using the website and requested well done. Delivery was as expected. the driver arrived in the time frame the website gave me when placing the order and was courteous and professional. The website gave me real time tracking of the driver's location, which was kind of cool! On to the pizzas, they didn't seem well done at all. The crust was rather flaccid and doughy and really didn't hold up well to the toppings. The mushrooms looked and tasted like canned mushrooms and really didn't add any flavor to the pizza at all. The sausage was good but, overall the pizza was way greasier than other pizza chains in the area. Overall, I am not sure I would go out of my way to order from here again. read more

Ughhhhhhhhh. We have tried ordering from Marcos on and off for the past 3-4 years. They are extremely inconsistent. One week everything is great. On time delivery, correct order and the next 2-3 times it's a train wreck with extremely delayed delivery, incorrect items, pizza stuck to the top of the box, etc. I get tired of calling to complain. Their quality is usually top notch & they rise above the rest; but lately the salad has been all iceberg lettuce and very lacking in the normal amounts of ingredients. When I spend $50 on dinner, I expect it to be correct and on time; ESPECIALLY when I place the order 2 hours prior for a set delivery time. So disappointed. read more

My boyfriend and I tried their wings the other day. The service was kind of a bad experience off the bat. We ordered over the phone for pickup and the person who answered seemed very distracted. My boyfriend had to repeat questions several times, such as whether or not we could order the wings all flat. Even though she confirmed over the phone that we could, when we went to pick up the wings, it was a mix of drums and flats. Minor mishap, not a big deal, just a bit of an annoyance when you're ordering food and don't get what you expected. I actually assumed they were just really busy in the store, but once we arrived to pick up the wings, the store was empty and there were just four or so teenage employees standing around behind the register, which I thought was a little funny. As for the wings, they were just alright. Wouldn't get them again. We had the BBQ and hot, and neither of them were very good. The BBQ was too sweet for my liking and the hot tasted like a thicker sauce of Crystal's - got sick of it after just a couple of wings. Very excited that this place opened and delivers to my home in Corinth! Great tasting! I'll start with the cons because they really are pretty minor. Cons: - I signed up for offers on the website before they opened but didn't register an account. When I tried to place my order online last night, it said my information was already in use. I went the route of trying "forgot password" then since it had my email already registered. The email I received stated I had only signed up for offers and needed to register. I clicked the link from the email and tried to register but received the same error as before. It also wouldn't let me sign in via social media but instead gave me an error. I ended up having to checkout as a guest which isn't a big deal except that I don't get the loyalty rewards this way. I did message them on Facebook to let them know and was told they will notify corporate to see if they can fix it. We will see what happens there. It would be better if my initial ordering experience wasn't so frustrating. - I'm hoping this con is only because it's new and they just opened but it took nearly an hour and a half to get my order (2 pizzas). It's at least twice as long as any other place from which I've ever ordered pizza. - The mushrooms are from a can. This is ultimately why I'm knocking a star off the review. It was extremely disappointing to find that the mushrooms were processed canned mushrooms. When the rest of the ingredients are fresh, it makes this fact stand out even more. Mushrooms are some of our favorite toppings so this was a major major letdown. - It's a bit pricy in comparison to other pizza places in the area. Especially when they are using canned mushrooms. Pros of Marco's Pizza: - The pizza is really good!! I most definitely prefer this pizza over the major chains that deliver in the area. - The sauce has an amazing depth of flavor that you don't get on other major chains pizzas. I like that I could taste the sauce with the toppings and all the flavors complemented each other. - The crust was cooked perfectly. It wasn't burnt, it wasn't weirdly chewy, and it was the perfect thickness for my liking (original crust). They also have thick crust and thin crust so something for everybody's preferences! They also have different crust toppings - garlic butter, parmesan, and "romo". I couldn't find a description for what romo is supposed to be though so that was disappointing. I don't want to order it if I don't know what it is but it could be good! Who knows? - On the works pizza, I could tell they cook the cheese and meats on it and then they added the peppers/onions/mushrooms and put it back in a few minutes to heat them up. This is genius and helped ensure the pizza was cooked well without turning veggies to mush! As mentioned above in the cons though the mushrooms were from a can. I don't know why, the rest of the ingredients seem pretty fresh. - We reheated leftovers in the toaster oven and they reheated extremely well. I was very impressed. Other pizzas don't tend to hold up well and get kind of rubbery. Following the reheating directions on the box made the pizza taste exactly the same as it did last night. Great pizza! read more

Since moving to the area this is the second Marcos I have tried and not sure if they all have the same prices but this one in Denton was much cheaper than the last one I usually ordered from. Plus the quality is noticeably better. We have ordered twice and the staff has been extremely friendly and warm. Not to mention helpful. Our favorite is the pepperoni and mushroom but they have other great pizzas like the White Cheesy. A must try. read more

This particular Marco's provides stellar customer service. Our delivery order had a glitch, but Megan and Miranda went WAY above and beyond to make sure it was rectified. We were blown away. Their pizzas are delicious. We usually order a deluxe. The bell peppers and onions are ALWAYS fresh and crisp, the dough is flavorful, and the overall quality of the pizza is above most pizza chains. Went here due to seeing it on undercover boss. We arrived to pick up the pizza and they told us they made a mistake on 1 of the pizzas so they made us a new 1 and gave us both. I have never been to a pizza place that had that kind of QC much less own their mistake and make it right before I got my pizza. That type of service alone deserves 5 stars.
