I have been here twice. Both visits I have ordered the gyro burger with cheese. On my first visit, the cashier was not very attentive and the food was kind of warm but cold on some parts of the meat. I was having my first meal in 12 hours so I didn't complain about the temperature since the taste was good. On my second visit another cashier served me. She was helpful and friendly. My gyro burger was hot as were my fries. My friend got me hooked on gyro burgers so I'll keep visiting this place whenever I'm in the neghborhood. Decent price, clean tables and good food. read more

He is the base of the place. No matter what's going on or whom ever is yelling at him, he always stays calm and diffuses the situation. I've been going here for many years (since I was a kid). I haven't lived in the city for 10 years and I still try to come out here. They have the best beef around. I've tried a lot of places, but no matter where, I love the beef from here. Just had it the other day when I was out this way. I don't know how I managed to drive 30 minutes back home without eating it. The only thing that upsets me is that the price went up. If they want more profits, cut your own fries!!! I've came here for years. For many years the service has had its ups and downs. I decided to give it one last chance. Service was still the same, except today was a down day. Meaning the service was not very good. The food was okay. My reason for writing this now is what I found in my drink. I was finishing eating the ice from my drink at home. When I look down at my ice to see a small bug on one of the ice I was about to eat! I feel utterly disgusted because I had already drank the soda and who knows if there was more bugs in that. Because of this I will not be returning to eat here. I know mistakes happen and they can't control it all but that on top of the bad service helps me make up my mind. read more

I can't comment on the actual restaurant itself because I have never been inside of the place. However, my coworkers and I order from here about once every week or two and they have yet to disappoint any of us. I usually opt for a vegetarian option (pepper and egg) which is perfectly done. The guys have had everything from their gyro burgers, to their chicken kabobs, to their Greek chicken, everything has been spot on. Whoever takes the phone calls is always fast talking but gets the order exactly right every single time, and food is always delivered in less time than estimated on the phone. Marco's went all out to increase business they more than double the parking space's, by buying the corner property. Beside that they have the best Gyro's beef, no lamb,cook on a spit fire till crisp. The beef and pizza are very good. and the hot dog's comes with crinkle fries and they have great Broasted chicken. Wow worst customer service ever experienced !!A trashy environment, with even trashier cashiers. All of the girl cashiers behind the counter seem to think their workplace is a high school lunchroom and not a restaurant. They were texting laughin and i heard ine girl crack a joke about a customer who walked away with his food. Extremely rude&ghetto service. They r going to run that business to the ground because even if the food would have been good(it was also disgusting [got worse recently]) i would have still not came back due to their customer service skills. The beef was flavorless and the meat was old or low quality cuz it felt papery , kind o like paoery beef crumbs not strips.. not a very meaty like texture. Pizza slice had almost no cheese and like 4 sausage pieces on top. The sauce was weird. Definitely won't come back. If you guys want the best beef/pizza there's a place On Harlem ave and a little south of irving park that has the best, And i mean THE BEST beef and pizza i think its called mr beef. The food is tasty, fantastic Italian Beef, I've been going here for over 10 years. But I could swear over the last 10 years things are getting smaller. Maybe it's my imagination? But I could swear the beef has gotten shorter and the gyros has gotten thinner (less meat vs. several years ago). They are both excellent though so order two if you have to. read more

My family and I patronage Marco Beef at least twice a month for the last 30 years,Unfortunately , their was an employees name Michelle who was outstanding, her customer service skills out rate other establishment I had visit, She greets you as you enter the building and accurately repeat your order to prevent errors and sometimes has general conversation, if not to busy.The last couple of times I haven't seen her( I usually come in the evening) she either is no longer employed there or work a different shift. Now back to the reason for this yelp. My family and I decided to stop and order dinner after a 10 hour shift on Thursday night. This is what I order, the italian beef combo with sweet pepper , mozzarella cheeses hot peppers on the side, double cheese burger meal and a cheese burger meal as well. A coke with the beef special, 1 larger strawberry shake, 1 small chocolate shake and a small strawberry shake.The cashier didn't repeat the order back I presume that she had the order correct(.Mind you I had paid $34 and some change) The male employee proceeded to make our shakes. I told the cashier that we missing the small strawberry shake.She looked to see if she charge me, she replied I didn't charge you, but I will give one for free. Since she didn't repeat the order back, I feel it was her error so correct it. the cashier in question, not only she made an error not repeating the order, she also made the wrong shake, She made a chocolate shake, which my grandson don;t like. I told her that it was supposed to be a strawberry shake and that he did.t want that kind. She replied ok, and took the shake to the back.Also I had to ask her to put out beverage in a bag, the look she gave was very disturbing.To top it off, we waiting at least over and half hour for them to complete my order. They appear to be more concern with delivering orders than the customers inside their restaurant.Once we received our order we left after waiting 30 minutes ( disappointing). Withing 30 minutes after eating from Marco my husband and grandson became sick, Both had cheese burgers,they complained that if felt like something was stuck in their throat,abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting. Being in food service industry, my self either someone didn't wash their hand properly, maybe allowed an ill employee to work,or improper temperature. Either way my family was sick.So basically I paid for my family to be come ill. Unfortunately, Marcos is not corporate own, there nothing that could truly be done. I will report them to Health Department. This is totally unacceptable. One thing or sure my family and I will never eat their again. read more

they have a taste like no other, maybe its the oil, maybe its the ingredents... whatever it is it is delicious. i can order within 2 minutes thanks to the boys on the phone. it takes about 45 min to get to you but when it does, its good! the gyro is delicious. the beef is mouth watering. i recommend it to anyone. read more
