Marco's was recommended  by a friend claiming they had the best Italian beef sandwich on the northside. So when I was in the hood I decided to give it a try. I ordered the special that included a small order of french fries and a small drink. They carry RC brand cola's. I opted for hot giardiniera on a dipped beef sandwich. People working there were all very friendly and conversed while I was waiting for my order. Within minutes had my order and grabbed a booth to eat. My friend was right! Hands down the best beef on the north side. In fact best beef I had in Chicago. The beef didn't hold its slice, more of broken pieces. But it melted in your mouth along with the the bread roll. The bread roll itself kinda fell apart, so I had to ask for a fork, but that didn't bother me. The beef portion was a more than fair amount, much larger portion than most other beef joints. They had put a generous portion of giardiniera which blended perfectly with the Au Jus gravy.  The small order of fries was a very large order of perfectly crispy fries. The RC cola brought me back more than a few decades a real classic. All in all I suggest anybody wanting a great Italian beef sandwich to head up to Marco's. They have a big parking lot making it a easy in and out location. There's plenty of other items on the menu, maybe another time. read more

I have been coming here for over 20 yrs the beef never disappoints it is the best in town I have tried many and still come back to Marcos for theirs catering is also good have had many caterings from them and food is delicious and priced right read more

I drove past here everyday and I always wondered about there food. A while back My husband surprised me one night and ordered from here. While he waited in side the house I was parked out side in my car. I see the delivery man pull up And walk to the door. While he's waiting for my husband to come out, he decides to blow his nose in his BARE hands and wipe snot ALL OVER MY GATE. I was FURIOUS TO SAY THE VERY LEAST. I got out the car and told my husband he's taking the food back and we didn't want it. My husband and the delivery man didn't know what my problem was until I explained what I just seen. My husband was disgusted while the delivery driver was explaining to me that it shouldn't be an issue because the food is in a bag and he did it with the other hand. Called and made a complaint to The manager. He gave me a refund but his demeanor on the phone told me this wasn't his first complaint about his delivery guy. I'd still like to try their food but the delivery guys still working there, and that's just a no go for me. I know " well why don't you just go in and pick up your food" it takes 1 bad apple to ruin the bunch. read more

This place has amazing food but absolutely horrible customer service. Purchased a 16 piece chicken family meal on Mother's day to take to a family function. When I got to the party there were only 12 pieces of chicken in the box. Logically I called them to let them know of the error and the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and accused me of lying. He didn't attempt to rectify the error and was just downright nasty on the phone. Absolutely horrible! Sad part is that their food is actually delicious. They really need to get some training on how to speak to customers on the phone. I am letting all my friends know not to go to this place because they treat their customers like garbage. read more

Whenever I have a taste for an Italian beef, Marcos is the spot. It's up there with Johnny 's in Elmwood Park, but unlike Johnny' s I don't have to stand in a line for an hour to get one. Besides the beefs, I've had the pizza slices and they are decent. The grilled chicken salad is also good and comes with olive oil and red vinegar and a small piece of French bread for those looking for a healthy options. They also have other options like sausage sandwiches, chicken tenders, broasted chicken, hamburgers, etc. And they aren't that expensive and they have an extra value meal also under $10. read more

This is a little gem! Always our favorite! Not sure anyone can go wrong with anything here! We regularly order the broasted chicken dinner, it's always made to order, or the grilled chicken sandwhich, or the to die for Italian beefs with sweet peppers. I stopped in here and got a couple of slices of pizza and I have to say I was underwhelmed. It was a very bland experience. The cheese and toppings were ok, nothing great but ok. The problem was for my taste preferences the pizza sauce and the crust were not very flavorful. If it was my place I'd definitely use a different pizza sauce and at the very least brush some garlic butter on the crust. Personally I prefer pizza crusts that have a nice yeasty flavor, but maybe that wouldn't work for other customers. Based on the pizza I don't think I'd return. However, after reading the reviews maybe I will stop in and try their gyro burger or wings since I read good things about them. I was staying at an airbnb which was walking distance to Marcos. I ate my first Italian Beef sandwich here. Not having a gauge to go on for comparison I won't say it's the best but it was tasty. I had it dipped which was good but messy. The next day I went in and got a gyro which was pretty standard, the tzatziki was a little watery. The meat was well seasoned and there was lots of it. The gyros are great, the slices of pizza are good but the service is terrible. Sometimes it takes them too long to get your food ready and eating in is not so great, the napkins are worse than wiping your face with a piece of newspaper, the seats are uncomfortable, and most of the time the tables are dirty. Disappointed!! I ordered 2 slices of sausage pizza, they told me it was going to take 15 minutes. I told them ok I will wait. after waiting 15 minutes they told me that they just made the pizza and that it was going to take another 15 minutes! I told them forget about the pizza, since I had also ordered a hot sandwich too and it was getting cold. And to top it off there was nobody in the restaurant. For a fast food place, their food delivers and their service is great and friendly and clean. Huge menu selection but I tend to go for the delicious broasted chicken and try their Italian beef-it's one of the best in their neighborhood!Make sure to order the beef juicy because when in Chicago, that's what we typically do. And if your brave enough, order the hot peppers on the side and add to taste! One down side, is their FF-very disappointing! Reminds me of the frozen ore-Ida crinkle type you buy in your frozen super-market section instead of the usually Chicago type of home-cut FF w/skin on. I've eaten here many times due to co-workers but I must say, I'm never fully satisfied. I've always had something not so great going on with my meal. Today I ordered a polish with fries and got the poorest portion of fries. $4.95 and it's like that's what I paid for only a polish. I can go to my preferred places and get more in portion size including better quality for about $3. That's sad, especially in Chicago. My boss ordered wings, asked for hot sauce and never got it. I have been here twice. Both visits I have ordered the gyro burger with cheese. On my first visit, the cashier was not very attentive and the food was kind of warm but cold on some parts of the meat. I was having my first meal in 12 hours so I didn't complain about the temperature since the taste was good. On my second visit another cashier served me. She was helpful and friendly.
