Clearing out my phone and found some old photos from Charly's!! Haven't been there since and I'm not even sure if this is still on the menu but I still miss this burger! SO. DANG. GOOD!!

Great spot for burgers. Price is very affordable, the menu is small and simple and the staff is great. They do tend to get busy at times, so the burgers don't come out as fast but it's definitely worth the wait. We ordered the Juicy Burger, All American Burger and their La Pina Burger. The Piña Burger was my favorite out of the three. It came with a grilled pineapple, chihuahua cheese, jalapeño and garlic aioli. Very very delicious burger and would order this again and again. The juicy burger was also pretty good. That came with grilled onions and cheese. We also ordered a side of fries and those were good as well. They were hand cut and tasted fresh. Will definitely be returning very soon.

ONE OF THE BEST burgers I've had! Note, I don't like burgers , but this one!? Amazing. As travelers, we love to try new food, this spot did not disappoint. Picture doesn't do justice. Flavor was amazing and definitely rich in. I got it to go so can't really tell about eating there. They were quick with our meals. Loved it! Recommend 100%

Second time going and the food was just as good as the first time. My only complaint is that the cheese sauce is never prepared. They open at 11am but the cheese sauce is usually not ready until after 1pm. Please fix this

Charly's Burger Combo with Cajun Fries

Charly's Burgers has been on my list for a while now. Today we got it checked off! The storefront restaurant is on Cicero just south of Fullerton.  There is metered street parking but that is about it. We arrived just after they opened on a Saturday morning and had no issues with parking. Charly's was not opened for more the 10 minutes, and they already had 8 to go orders being cooked when we were at the counter. The menu is very basic; 5 burgers, a Polish Sausage,  and a Chicago Style hot dog. You can upgrade your burger by adding an additional patty, bacon, an egg - cooked to order, or cheese sauce. You can make it a meal with hand cut fries and a drink. All drinks are cans or bottles so no refills at $3. You can upgrade your fries by adding Cajun seasoning or cheese sauce. The also have something call Charly Fries (loaded fries with a hamburger patty) at $14. I went with the Charly Burger: two six-ounces beef with bacon (90/10) patties, cheese, grilled onions, and a pickle. Apparently, all their burgers meals are served in a Styrofoam containers, even if you are eating there. As it turns out that was a good thing as there was no way I could eat this whole thing. $15 burger and you have a second or even third meal for home. We were there for around an hour and all their other customers were to go orders. There are two tables for four people and a row of stools along the window (you can look at all the lemmings at McDonald's right across the street while you enjoy your substantial juicy burger).  The Cajun seasoning was a tasty upgrade, next time I will try the Cajun seasoning WITH the cheese sauce. The atmosphere was rustic and basic. The staff were nice and genuinely happy to see us eating in the restaurant. Absolutely coming back.

My daughter was craving some comfort food and we stumbled upon this gem of a place ... juiciest burger with perfect garlic aioli and the charly sauce was a final touch crispiest Cajun fries ...

The burgers here are delicious! The fries could use a little more salt but the prices were reasonable. People were nice. There isn't much seating and they don't seem to have AC so I recommend calling ahead to pick up.

To start off fries aren't good. They lack flavor! The juicy burger tastes like wanna-be Maxwell burger. The pena was not what I expected - fair taste. But I would be just as happy with a McDonald's cheeseburger! Won't visit again.

Heard this was one of Chicago's best burgers so we had to check it out... It was counter service take out only. Be prepared to eat in your car or take food back to your house. Trust us you'll be glad you did!! What a home run burger! We went with Charly's Burger and it was simply spectacular. The 90/10 beef bacon blend lends to one of the most juicy, flavorful, burgers we've had in a while. Went in with pretty high expectations and this place exceeded them - perfection. Can't wait to return.

Their fries are good, and actually stand out more than the burger. Everything is overpriced. I don't know why people complain about the wait; do some research like a responsible adult. I never just walk into a place and expect to be immediately seated, I call first - like anyone who has some sense. If they tell you the wait is 2 hours and you have 2 hours to kill, there are a bunch of bars in the area where you can have some drinks and an appetizer (and not feel like you're stiffing Au Cheval; they're the ones with the 2 hour wait, what do they expect people to do?) Not much to say about the decor or ambience; it's a typically loud West Loop bar with mostly 20 - 30 somethings all trying to one-up each other with their trendiness that instead makes them all basically clones of each other. It is crowded, and you're a moron if you think any place like this is suitable for your 5 year old. That's not the restaurant's fault - it's not Chuck E Cheese. Often I wish Yelp offered a 1/2 star option, because there are places that are a 4.5 or a 3.5. Not in this case. 3 stars is spot-on.

Stacked unapologetically high, this burger is everything you want and more: juicy, perfectly seared patties layered with melty cheese, crispy bacon, and those golden, crunchy fried onions that take it completely over the top. Every bite is rich, savory, and just messy enough to remind you you're eating something seriously good. The toasted bun somehow holds it all together (barely), soaking up every bit of flavor without getting lost in the chaos. And then... the shoestring fries. Thin, crispy, golden perfection--light but addictive, with that ideal crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one (or ten). They're the kind of fries you keep reaching for without even realizing it, especially dipped in that creamy, tangy sauce on the side. And let's not forget the drinks--just as good as the food. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the kind you sip slow while taking it all in (but somehow they disappear way too fast). It's not just a burger--it's one of Chicago's most iconic bites for a reason. Bold, indulgent, and absolutely worth every single napkin you'll need after. The ambiance inside is GORGEOUS!

Loved the 90s female R&B playlist they had going! Little Bad Wolf has been on my list FOR YEARS to try the burger! My husband got the burger with fried onions and I got some Bao because those also looked delicious and were a popular menu item. Honestly the 3 stars are only that high because of the service. Our server was friendly and attentive + the food came out hot and quick. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. The burger was swimming in a puddle of grease and just picking it up made your hands greasy + was dripping grease. The fries that came with it were floppy, soggy, and sad...but at least warm? I personally wouldn't order this again. The Bao were better, but small for the price and honestly were just okay? It was nice they gave you sauces you could add, but I found the Bao's to already have enough sauce so I didn't need them. Overall I left feeling confused and disappointed. I don't feel the need to come back here - Little Bad Will was a one and done experience for me.
