Friends recommended this little hole in the wall and it was fantastic. Waygu cheeseburger was full of flavor and hit the spot. It was a double smashed patty. The loaded cheese fries were also delicious. One of the workers was very adamant about no outside drinks inside so we had to wait outside while friends finished their coffees and I had to pour out my water. Kinda like a self service place where you got your own waters from a canteen and bussed your own table
I have heard good things about NADC and have been interested to try the burger. I thought there would be a lot of people so I was surprised that I walked in for lunch on Sunday and it wasn't busy, which was nice. My friend and I each ordered a burger and fries for ourselves. The NADC burger ($16) was decent, but it didn't blow my mind like people have raved about. I know it's not the original location which can play a part as well. What I really enjoyed and even finished my friend's were the fries. I love some good fries and these were top quality. You could taste the difference of the oil these fries were made in. They were nice and crispy and very good! I could keep eating them and would rather get the fries than the burger next time. I'd probably still get a burger since I need some meat and savory.
I have gotten this to go a few times but this was my first time eating there! My bf and I sat at the bar and had the best time! They have a ton of cocktails and they are very cool! We were able to chat with the general manager a bit and hear NADC story, it made me love this spot even more! I got a passion fruit drink with boba this was great! As we were chatting they mentioned an eggnog drink! I love eggnog so this was for me, and it was perfect! Such cool cocktails here, I had no idea!! We split the burger which was phenomenal. Even better eating it in person! I learned this is a pressed patty and not a smash burger. This is my favorite burger in the city! Such a cool vibe in here, very fun music and decor. I'm obsessed!
Burger was awesome! Seemed short staffed but they were doing their best to overcome it. Bit overpriced but overall incredible flavor on the burger! Love the building! Parking kinda sucks... but that's just city life!
Ethan had been wanting to try this place because his childhood favorite skater is the owner. Got takeout late Thursday night, and was really impressed. The burger is exactly what you want and need from a burger: greasy, cheesy, flavorful. The fries were the real star of the show. Perfectly crispy and some of the longest fries I've ever had. I wish I took a picture of one of my really long fries, it was like 8+ inches. I'm definitely going to come back here. It's everything you want from a burger spot. No frills, simple menu. Not vegetarian friendly :( even the fries are fried in beef fat or something.
NADC definitely worth the visit. 100% Waygu 6 oz smash patty for $16? Come on man! Try the loaded fries, get a beer, and enjoy it. The service is prompt, the food is great. The ONLY issue is the setting. They opened this place up in an old bar and attempted to hybrid the California style burger joint with an existing bar and it doesn't mesh very well. However I'm please with the food and the experience. Thanks NADC!
NADC stands for Not A Damn Chance! A classic no-frills Chicago burger joint. My friend got the NADC burger and fries and the cheese was melty perfection, I was drooling. With my dietary restrictions, I had a double patty (no bun, no sauce) stacked with jalapeños and pickles. Still tasty, but I definitely left a hungry. They don't offer extras like lettuce or hot sauce, but the staff was super helpful navigating my options. Also so random but this spot has a wild layout. There's an omakase downstairs and a hidden door somewhere that gives speakeasy energy .
Epic fail. You have one thing on the menu! You have one job. Make a great burger. But this ain't it. Is it a good burger? Yup. Is it great? Nope. And it's $16 before tax. I could have easily eaten two of them and not been overly full. You can see from my photos it's a small burger for $16. Oh, and don't get me started on their fries. They are terrible. My son actually ate some and tossed half of them. He is a French fry machine and I've never seen him not finish an order. And then their ketchup is weird. I don't get it, I really don't. 2.5 star overall. Burger gets 3 stars. No need to ever return. Ps - the tip screen is set to 20%. Make sure you select no tip or whatever you want and don't end up with the default. If in order at the counter and pick up my own food, ain't no tipping happening.
1 Burger on the menu and thats all you need! Ordered it with 3 patties and wow it hit the spot and did not feel bloated after at all! Only thing I wish was that there was more pickles, it is very meaty and would've wanted a little bit more bitter to balance it out. But would def come here again! Very friendly staff and good vibes indoor.

There's not a damn chance that I would ever return here to recommend this place to anyone. NADFC. I was already going to going to leave a poor review, perhaps a 2 but changed it to a one after I found out that they automatically charged a 20% tip when I did not authorize them to. They didn't mention anything during the service and what I authorized on their credit card machine does not match my bank statement. They definitely didn't deserve gratuity either. Our entire visit here just seemed off. We sat down at a table and they handed us menus but was told to order at the bar. I I placed my order and they needed to hold onto my credit card until we were finished. We also had to get our own water and utensils and get our own food once the beeper started vibrating. Can someone help me understand how that merits any type of gratuity? The burgers were $16 each which is a fair price for a decent size burger, but these weren't any bigger than a McDouble. I also ordered mine without pickles and they still put pickles in the damn thing. Even if I take them off, the pickle juice flavor stays in the burger. Definitely not worth the $16. I also noticed that they don't even have a phone number so you can't contact them. Avoid this place at all costs. Not sure why it gets any type of hype at all.
Only one burger on the menu so it was easy to choose. I had heard highs and lows regarding this place, but I can confirm the burgers are outstanding. Super flavorful. The NADC fries are also fun. Wouldn't have thought that pickles, jalapeño and cheese would work on a fry, but I was pleased. Top notch smash burger.
5/5 double patty smash burger. Cheese was perfectly melted, secret sauce was fantastic, and meat was cooked perfectly. We came on a Sunday afternoon and our burgers came out within 15 minutes. Smaller restaurant space with a couple of tables and bar seating. $16 for the burger and $8 for an extra patty, could be more reasonably priced, but it's a Chicago. Would recommend and would come back!

This bar restaurant only serves one type of burger and fries. The NADC burger ($16) had two patties, onions, jalapeno, cheese, pickles, and their secret sauce. The burger was good. Folks in my party loved it. The fries were crispy and really good. Service in the beginning wasn't great. The guy taking our order was pissy. I wanted to order and pay separate from my group, but he said no and that he had to put in the order together. I also had to put away my bottle of water. read more

1 Burger on the menu and thats all you need! Ordered it with 3 patties and wow it hit the spot and did not feel bloated after at all! Our favorite Chicago burger. We go or order ever week, and we're still not tired of this. The pattys have a little crispiness, and with the pickles, sauce, peppers, and cheese it's perfect. First things first, cutest place I've ever stumbled upon. I was searching for a good smash burger since one of my favorite places closes and I must admit, I think I've found a new favorite! The service was quick and amazing, too tire if I must say! This place also doubles as a bar, with a nice variety of drinks and beers to choose from. We've been meaning to visit NADC. So we decided to stop there before the Bulls Game. Plenty of street parking As soon as you walk in, it smells like a Burger Joint. With only one Burger on the Menu, we decided on the NADC Burger. The NADC was fantastic. Perfect blend of savory and melty goodness. The NADC has the right amount of grilled onions, jalapeños, cheese and special sauce. The Beef Tallow Fries are very crispy and pair well with the Chipotle Ketchup. The Bar has Excellent cocktails and craft beers on tap. Also only 15 minutes to United Center. read more

This's our first time visiting this place! There's only one burger item on the menu. You can add an order of fries or this loaded fries. It's a bar/ burger spot. You order it at the bar, they give you a buzzer and you just go pick it up when it's ready. You can seat yourself anywhere available. They also have non alcoholic beverage options. The burger is on the pricier side in my opinion, $16 for a 2 Patties, $8 extra to get the 3 Patties. We got 2 burgers, 1 order of fries and 2 non-alcoholic drinks are close to $50 before tips. The burger itself is very good and fresh, very flavorful and the special sauce is pretty tasty in my opinion. And the fries are fried with beef tallow!! The burgers are All made to order, so it does take some time to get your order. There's street parking close to the area, or few mins walk from the train. Definitely go try this out if you are near west loop area! We enjoyed every bite of it , esp the fries! read more

Stopped in for burger the other night. Place was packed and after getting the burger I understood. Really good beef cooked perfectly and a solid bun and sauce. Friendly bartender took my order and made a great old fashioned. Cool little location. read more

Went to NADC for the first time this month and was blown away. I have officially had the best cheeseburger of my life. Went on Friday for lunch just as they were opening up. The space isn't super large so I would recommend getting there early if you're there for lunch. It looks like it's open fairly late too so it could be a good late night bites option as well. The menu is pretty straight forward. The burger comes with all the fixings and they don't customize....it doesn't matter though, the burger is perfect. The smash patty is crispy and flavorful, the tamed jalapeno and pickles help cut through the greasiness of the burger, the sauce is amazing and it is all contained in an awesome bun. You simply cannot compare any burger in Chicago to NADC. read more
I love trying different smash burgers in the city so this has been on my list. The patties were juicy and flavorful. I liked all of the toppings on here, but wish there were more jalapeños or something else just to add a bit more of a snappy texture. Overall very solid smash burger in the city, maybe just a bit heavy for my personal taste. I prefer some of the more inexpensive smash burgers in the city as my go-tos but this is definitely somewhere to try at least once. The fries were probably my favorite above the burger. They were very crispy on the outside without being dry on the inside. I thought the toppings went perfectly on the beast mode fries. I would come back for the fries before the burger. Service was good! The bartender was friendly and offered some recommendations. The food came out very quickly. The bar is just your typical hole in the wall bar, but it's clean and what you would expect for a quick burger. read more
Overall a pretty decent smash burger that's pretty flavorful and juicy. The restaurant itself is very casual and is basically a first come first serve bar area. Price-wise you're paying a bit of a premium for the burger but I think you'll be satisfied nonetheless. I wish the burger was slightly bigger--but when the burger pitches wagyu beef you're bound to be paying a bit more. The beef in itself wasn't distinctly out of this world but I think the combination of the cheese and seasonings made this a solid burger overall. read more

If there's one thing I am, it's being a burger girly. The burger scene in Chicago is endless and NADC has always been on our list for the longest time. We decided to give it a try on a random Wednesday night. For a Wednesday, I'd say it was pretty packed but luckily we were able to grab a booth in the back. We shared the Tokyo fish bowl punch cocktail which intrigued me being that there was pandan in it. I'd say it has a hint of it but it wasn't as strong of a taste as it was the aroma. Pretty tasty and refreshing drink though! Between two, we shared the beast mode fries and each got a cheeseburger. I know there's a lot of comparison of SALT and NADC to INO but being from California, I'd say the "dupes" are not really comparable. The beast mode fries were good in their own way.. I loved the thin and crispiness of the French fries and the pickled toppings packed a nice punch. Now for the burger.. first bite.. I was intrigued and it was going well. The smashed patty had a nice char to it. However, the more I bit into the burger, the flavor was getting lost in the sauce.. literally. There is some special sauce in the burger that really is smothered way too much and it takes away from the burger I feel like. The sauce didn't really taste like much too but just a way too creamy sauce that killed the charred patty taste that I love in a burger. For the price point, I don't think the burger was worth it. There are way more affordable options that hit the spot. Definitely a cool vibe in here but I don't think NADC made our top burgers list in the city. read more
