It was ok. Expensive for a fast food burger, and not really anything that WOW'd, so it's not going to be a regular spot for me. But a friend and I are planning a big trip with our kiddos and we needed a spot to chat about it. I ordered the classic burger (no pickles please), and it was good and quite filling. Next time I will not order the large fries, because they are not kidding when they call them large. The fries were huge and a small or maybe medium would have been plenty. The fries were really good, and pretty crisp, which I much prefer to limp French fries. I got some ranch dressing too since I prefer that for my fries. My friend got the patty melt which she liked a lot; she wasn't sure because of the giardiniera but it passed the test. The staff was helpful, and the restaurant was pretty clean. The parking situation in this shopping center is garbage, though. I am positive that the developers made the parking spots slightly smaller than what is standard. I've come here before and wondered if the cars were more closely parked together than other places. Most recently when we came for epic burger, the cars on either side of mine were just over my forearms length apart. I opened the door for my toddler and she had some trouble getting in initially, so if that's not evidence of the too-small spaces I don't know what is. Thankfully she's in her helpful era and she helped me get her buckled into her car seat since I could only get one arm in at a time. I couldn't open the driver's side door wide enough to get into the car, so I had to wait until the other person came back. (Shout out to the folks that had been sitting next to us in the restaurant; as they were leaving they said that they told the man who's car it was that it was parked too close so they must have seen me hanging out by my car.) So if you do check this place out, I'd consider parking further away in the lot if you're over a size 6. read more

I wanted to stop here to use my birthday coupon. I ordered the Classic burger with one patty, Cajun fries and a small drink. When I went to use my credit, I learned I also had a $5 reward. Yesterday was one of those days where nothing was going my way so this truly made my day. Review Visit: March 23rd, 2014 So just how EPIC! is Epic Burger? Well, not all too epic, actually. My dad and I came here after visiting Shedd's Aquarium and were hoping for some really EPIC!! food. What we got was decent food and some unsatisfied taste buds. Now the food wasn't terrible. But it wasn't EPIC!!! It was just a bit too greasy and a bit light on flavor. We ordered a meal each and the total was about $17-19, so not bad for two people. But 5 Guys is way better, IMO. That is a great burger place to go. SmashBurger even. Those are EPIC!!!! My sister and I both ordered burgers, fries, and Pepsi. The bill was about $40 for the two of us. The burgers were well proportioned, flavorful, and tasty. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. I've been to a few epic burgers around town and as per fast foot goes it's pretty solid for the price range and quality. I usually go for the classic epic or the cowboy. They have been pretty consistent with how they prepare their burger nice amount of caramelization and charring on the burgers and good toppings. It always comes out like the picture and the fries nice and crisp with different options as well. Service is pretty fast and consistent. Never had wait. For sides, regular fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad are available. Overall a simplified menu with just a handful of options and ability to customize to your liking is what they aim for. I seem to find myself coming back for their beyond burger from time to time. While I wouldn't say it's the healthiest of foods you could consume, it does bring some satisfaction knowing that I've eaten more veggies for a sitting. Epic burger reminds me of a smash burger or shake shack burger. I guess they distinguish themselves by serving other varieties of patties, such as turkey and beyond meat. The whole burger ordering process is a build-your-own-burger style, much like the process at chipotle. They also have chicken tenders and a few shake options available. The menu was easy to navigate for a first-timer. After ordering, they give you a number and bring you your food. The whole experience was a 3.5 Yelp stars for me- the burger was nice but their fries were underwhelming (drenched in oil). Staff here were friendly and the food came out quickly- great service! Eating the burger fresh definitely improved the burger eating experience. They have a bunch of chairs and tables outside, as well as plenty of seating inside. I got their classic epic burger with beef patty and brioche bun, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, tomatoes and pickle. I asked for their epic sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the burger with the grilled onions and cheese ended up being very rich and juicy. I think the epic sauce would have made it just too oily and heavy for my taste. The burger patty is not too thick but one burger is plenty for a meal. Maybe I'll come back and try the fried chicken (however, I'd totally blame myself if I went to a burger place and ordered fried chicken that came out mediocre!) The burgers were not amazing, but not terrible! You choose the type of protein (beef, Turkey, etc.), bun (brioche, wheat, or lettuce "bunless"), the usual burger toppings at no extra charge (raw onions, cooked onions, lettuce, tomato), and the "epic sauce" (Mayo and thousand island). The cheese (cheddar or pepper jack), and additional toppings such as an egg, avocado, or bacon, etc. come with an extra charge. We got a chocolate peanut butter shake, but they misheard, so they gave us a free shake. I left feeling very full, but I didn't hate myself like I normally do when I have a full burger.
