Lucy's was doing a BOGO on fries, mac & cheese, and shakes on Uber Eats, so we decided to try it, good decision overall. The classic Prohibition burger was a solid 9/10. I loved that the pickles and onions were diced so you could taste them in every bite. The cheese was *very* melted though, basically liquid, which was a little strange. I personally prefer when it's a bit thicker and there's a little more of it. My niece got the buffalo fried chicken sandwich and they did not skimp, it was basically a whole chicken thigh. She wasn't a big fan of the blue cheese, but otherwise liked it. For the sides, I'm from the South so the mac & cheese was a little underwhelming for me, but the fries were good and the strawberry shake was a solid dessert. I ordered delivery from Doordash - the original chicken sandwich, the pickle spears, and golden fries. I thought the fries were fantastic! Very tasty and cooked well. Natural fries and I chose the garlic aoli. I wish you could have a few other types of dips without paying extra though. The pickle spears were so large---I was expecting smaller spears, but these were thick and you get about four of them. A little pricy, but there was a special online with Doordash so I saved $5 by adding them to my order. The sauce was spicy but flavorful. The chicken sandwich was fine. I think Popeye's chicken sandwich is much better...but this one was thick and juicy and tasted just fine. I would definitely get this again and may try a different type of sandwich. Lucy's was everything I wanted and more! A friend and I stopped in here after shopping in the area and I'm so glad I finally got to try it. Lucy's serves up burgers, fried chicken, and a handful of sides. The limited menu means that what they DO offer is done really well. I decided to go with the bacon jam spicy chicken sandwich. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was topped with bacon jam, garlic aioli and american cheese on a brioche bun. THE BACON JAM! So so good. The chicken itself is about twice the size of the bun, so you definitely get a great bang for your buck. And it's so crispy too! I was also so impressed by the fries. *employee told me "f*ck you"* I Won't ever know how the food is because I'll never order from her again. Long story short: I ordered delivery through uber eats and eventually the driver messaged me telling me that Lucy's had given my order to the wrong driver. I found this to be peculiar because I know drivers have to show credentials to pick up the order. So I called Lucy's to simply let them know the message I from the driver and the person I spoke with on the phone (Tony if that's their real name) proceeded to get extremely defensive as if I was attacking them about where my food was. When I was just trying to communicate and get it sorted out with the info that I had. Because as it sat, I had no order on the way and no order being made by the store, yet my uber eats order remained open. Eventually them employee (Tony) got sick of my questions and when I asked for a manager and told him I felt obligated to tell his management about how he handled everything... First he told me there wasn't one in and he couldn't tell me when one would be in in a very irritable, annoyed tone. Then his exact words were "yeahhh f*ck you." And then he hung up. I've never in my life had that happen and I usually don't follow up like this but I am absolutely going to contact that place until I get ahold of a manager and make sure it's handled appropriately. read more

The cheese sauce on the fries had no flavor at all and the chicken sandwhich lacked flavor as well. The chicken sandwich tasted a little over cooked. It was clearly a chicken thigh, but the chewy/dry parts were still left on the meat and should have been trimmed off prior to dredging. Additionally, the chicken had hard dried out parts. I've had alot of fried chicken in my life but this was pretty darn good. You get a pretty big piece of chicken on the sandwich. Now looks may be deceiving because the chicken looked pretty heavy but it was actually lightly breaded to perfection. The chicken piece wasn't overly thick or overly breaded where it was overwhelming. The overall sandwich wasn't super greasy either. The combination or the bacon, bacon jam, and chicken was phenomenal. If you are into the sweet and savory combo then this sandwich is definitely for you. Came here for the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good, liked the balance of the blue cheese with the Buffalo sauce. It didn't really taste like Buffalo sauce, but it was spicy. Buffalo sauce seemed like it lacked some butter and vinegar. Blue cheese was on point and they load you up. Only reason this gets a 3 is because the chicken itself and the sauce was room temperature. I don't come to eat room temperature sandwiches, that food better be served hot. Cool looking patio in the back, host was extremely friendly. I ordered carryout around 5:30pm on a Saturday and I think it was ready in like 5 minutes so I rushed over to pick it up. The drive was only about 10 minutes for me. I ordered the Classic Burger with Cheese Fries and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The burger was good and it's very comparable to Small Cheval and The StopAlong. Loved the pickles and the onions as they had some crunch! Bun was a little dry and I thought the patty needed some flavor as it was a little dry. I thought the spicy chicken was good and it had a small kick, not overly spicy (I have a high spice tolerance). The chicken filet was big, but I definitely bit into some gristle, which I hate. Wished the slaw had some more creaminess. The fries were solid though! They were very crispy, salty, and I thought they traveled extremely well. Cheese sauce was solid too. Prices were cheap for Chicago, portion sizes were huge, and service was solid. Overall, Lucy's is a good place to eat at a great value. The burger is probably better dining in as I thought it was dry doing carryout. I wouldn't totally go out of my way to get Lucy's, but I would stop by again if I am in the neighborhood! read more

We came here for a quick dinner bite. The young ladies here were dry welcoming with smiles and with positive attitudes. They seemed more busy with takeout orders than actual dine in customers, but they handled it all well. They apologized for the wait, but I felt it was a fair time. The wife and I both ordered their Original Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It came with American cheese, two thick ass pieces of chicken and cole slaw. The chicken was so fat that it was hard to get an actual bite from top to bottom. That's not necessarily a bad thing. The cheese was unnecessary, and doesn't nothing for this sandwich. The cole slaw is could, but would help if the chicken was actually spicy, so the cole slaw could help your mouth cool down. But it wasn't spicy. They do bring out a very spicy sauce that you can pour on the chicken, but I feel like the seasoning should have some heat to it. We also ordered fries, they were good and tasted like something you'd get a hot dog joint. Overall, we enjoyed are meal as it was very filling, and they had great customer service. Lucy's was YUM! I got the tenders and fries as well as fried pickles. The tenders were juicy- crispy outside soft inside, Fries tasted fresh and fried pickles were delicious! I expected the fried pickles to be more like round flat pickle slides but they were pickle spears so they were more pickle-y than I expected. Just something to keep in mind. The service was bit on the slower side, but overall I will definitely go back and order those delicious tenders and fries (the fried pickles were good too but perhaps too much?)!!! read more
