Food was not bad and the food itself was more like 3.5 but given the ambiance and location, it deserves a 4. We ordered Traditions and Breakfast Burrito. The breakfast potatoes were really good! I also like their toast - it's a bit gooey as compared to the dry and crispy ones. Nothing wrong with the egg, burrito, and bacon - they are all good but not distinguishably good. Will go back and try other items. read more

Dined here on 9/12/2026. I came to Americano for brunch with my two friends. We each got the breakfast sandwich and I got mine with sausage, egg and cheese, on a challah roll. The sandwich was good, although nothing to write home about. The breakfast potatoes were delish and I did enjoy my Aperol. Will come back for the outdoor seating and definitely try something else! Service was perfect and it wasn't too loud at all. read more

Been meaning to try this HH for a while! This place is attached to hotel Lincoln so it essentially serves as the hotel bar and restaurant. It was good! The inside feels kind of like Gemini with open windows, modern fixtures etc. The service was good overall, and they fixed a drink when I didn't like it. The happy hours is definitely worth it to get the burger and fries. Both were decently sized and worth the $15 price. The burger had a lot of toppings, including a sauce and pickled onions and a very good amount of pickles. The Caesar salad honestly was not good, tasted very artificial and I probably would only try their sandwiches or appetizers if I went back. The truffle fries didn't have a strong truffle flavor, but I like the shoe string shape and they come with ketchup and mayo. But overall, a cute place, an easy walk in and a good patio! read more

I went to Americano for a solo brunch on a cold and rainy Saturday morning. I was just passing by and the beautiful decor made me want to step in. I was the only customer there initially when I stepped in even though the place eventually got full. The server was very attentive and kind. I ordered coffee and traditional breakfast plate. It tasted homey and just what a needed. Overall I had a great experience of feeling welcomed and warmth but in stillness with delicious food. Probably on a nice warm day, this place is crowded and popping. That's also going to be fun so I will certainly revisit with friends for some brunch and mimosa. read more

Went here for their daily happy hour which includes weekends, 4-6pm. Was happy with our drinks, the espresso martini was a highlight loved the little toasted marshmallow. Fries were also delicious and the 1$ oysters were a good deal, not the best oysters but for a dollar I was happy. Burger was also good. Staff were very nice and attentive. The host was sweet and sat us right was and our server was amazing. Constantly checking on us and was so friendly. Very cute vibe on the inside, nicely decorated a lot of seating. Honestly a little pricey but the happy hour made it worth it. read more

We are here two days in a row. It was delicious! We happened to be in the area and needed a quick bite. The service the first day was phenomenal and food too! The next day the service was lacking but the food was still amazing and they did offer a free dessert for the slow service. We would happily eat here again! read more

The food was disappointing, especially considering how beautiful this restaurant is. I had the salmon, and it had bones in it. I understand that fish can sometimes have bones, but I've never encountered that when ordering fish at a restaurant. I was eating a salad, so I definitely wasn't expecting to have to worry about that. My friend ordered a burger, and it was incredibly plain. Honestly, it tasted like something you'd get in a school cafeteria. The wine we ordered was also very sour and tasted old. I also noticed that the back door near the trash was left open. With the news recently discussing a billionaire paying people to feed rats, seeing an open door near the trash did not make me feel any better about the situation. It made me question the cleanliness of the establishment, and unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't help. The service was great, and I'll give credit where it's due, but the food was horrible. And let's not even get started on the bathroom. The toilets looked terrible. The decor was cute, but everything else was a disappointment. Honestly, I felt tricked because the restaurant looked so beautiful, yet the actual experience was completely different. I spent $88 on a burger and a salad, and it was absolutely not worth it. If I had taken a closer look around the restaurant before ordering, I honestly would have chosen somewhere else. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes some much-needed changes. A beautiful atmosphere can only do so much when the food quality, cleanliness, and overall experience don't match. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Great daily happy hour deals and beautiful interior and patio. I was so sad to see that the bottomless wings weren't on the happy hour menu anymore, so we opted for $1 oysters, the smashburger and fries. All were tasty - especially the burger - and great prices. Our wine and beer off the happy hour menu were excellent deals as well. I also got the wedge salad with steak, though this came so drenched so I had to ask for it with the dressing on the side. This salad was also such a small portion for $17 and then adding the small portion of steak for another $12. Service was quick and great - I'd definitely recommend coming for the great happy hour or brunch deals because otherwise things get pricey for small portions. read more

Stopped in for an early happy hour on a Saturday. We just wanted to get out of the house and saw this establishment as being an intriguing location. Very cute restaurant attached to the bottom a famous Lincoln Park hotel. Upon entering we were offered a cute corner table. It was perfect for people watching and catching some vitamin D through window. On this occasion, Hunter was our server and he was a pleasure. Hunter provided excellent drink recommendations to go with our Oysters. The Oysters were good size, cold and the fresh. We also enjoyed the smash burger along with some French fries. For drinks we had a nice cold glass of Sav Blanc and also a Guinness Beer. An added bonus for this menu is that they do have $8 martinis. Cute place, I would return if in the area. The modern decor and cocktail menu is tempting. They had an ample patio if you wanna be outside outside!!! read more

Our server was great. He was friendly, personable, and relatable to our group. The egg sandwich was ok. The menu called for a choice of breakfast meat that was never offered to me. The French toast was a highlight of the visit. Our group split an order and it could have been enough to fill us up. I would go back, due to the menu have multiple options for brunch. read more

Americano in Lincoln Park is hands down my favorite place for happy hour. Not only do they have happy hour deals on drinks, but the food is included too, which is always a win. The happy hour menu is very well priced, especially for the quality you're getting. The food is phenomenal, and I especially love the $1 oysters -- such a great deal and always fresh. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again. Service can be a little slow at times when they're really busy, but that's understandable given how popular it gets, especially during happy hour. Overall, it's absolutely worth it and one of my go-to spots in the neighborhood. read more

Sadly place really needs to improve on the service. I had a happy hour reservation at 5, I was sitting on the back patio until 5:35, then made the decision to go inside at the bar. A waiter never even came around to bring out water! Thankfully the bar was open and the bartender there was lovely. Multiple glasses were also shattered by waitstaff onto our legs. They did nothing about this. Overall the dirty martini was great and the chicken wings were amazing. I'm not sure if I would come back because of the service. read more

My goal is to try 50 new Chicago restaurants in 2025! Restaurant: 37/50 Month tried: July Favorite dish: Oysters Came to Americano for happy hour after the beach. We were disappointed that they removed wings from the happy hour menu! However we did have some good wines and some in our party had martinis. I don't eat oysters, but the rest of the group was happy with them. We had a charcuterie board as part of happy hour and tbh it was underwhelming. Seemed like basic grocery store cheeses and nothing really fantastic. I know it's hard to write a thorough review based on just a happy hour, but I gotta do it for the new restaurant challenge! I would come back mostly for the patio-on-the-park vibes. read more

Could not recommend this place less. It has a great vibe and ambience but it was a terrible experience. The service was slow and horrid, no water refills, forever for drinks, and not being checked up on. Aside from this, the food was terrible. The Mac and cheese was worse than boxed Mac and cheese, the chicken tasted like freezer dried precooked meat and the cheese was plastic tasting. Honestly inedible, we didn't even eat it. The smash burger was hardly a smash burger and incredibly average. They even asked what temperature we wanted... which tells you it's not a smash burger. We were hopeful based on the vibes, but everyone in our group had lackluster experience and have no intention in going back. read more

Basic but solid spot in Chicago. I feel like this location cycles through different restaurants pretty quickly, so hopefully this is here to stay. We had brunch here on a Saturday and were able to walk in without a reservation. I had the burger for my meal and my friend and I split the cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was definitely the highlight of the meal for us! We also enjoyed some spritzes with our meal. The service was so-so which is why I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. We had to move tables 3 times due to them being wobbly or being blinded by sun when sitting. read more

I really liked the area of this restaurant. We were staying at the Lincoln hotel so this was right in the lobby. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. I love the decorations, they're queue and make the atmosphere nice for a date night or girls night. I got the bottomless mimosas which were great and they poured tall glasses. I also got the chicken BLT, which was also pretty good. The people at my party got the breakfast burrito the burger and the regular breakfast platter. I love the restaurant that used to be in this space, so I was super excited to try Americano! The brunch menu looked amazing, so we decided we had to try. First off, the interior is so gorgeous! I was obsessed with everything down to the velvet chairs. For food, we got the beet salad, lobster benedict, and avocado toast. We also did bottomless. Starting off with bottomless, it was only $30 and you got your choice of spritzes, sangria, mimosas, seltzer, or rose which I thought was a great value. I will say, the server we had wan't rushing to get us our next drink which was fine because I didn't want to drink that much, but something to know if that's what you're looking to do. For food, the beet salad was really good. I loved all of the flavors and the addition of the goat cheese with the beets. This does not come with lettuce, which I initially thought it did, but I did not miss it! The lobster benedict was also great (and I got my side salad here). The lobster is seasoned well and really made the dish. Lastly, the avocado toast was creamy and the bread was fresh. All in all, a solid meal. I'm excited to try more and to try their happy hour which also looks amazing. read more

We had our engagement party here, and the communication from the coordinator and staff was very poor. I have been trying to get on the phone with the person who helped book our party for the entirety of this week now to discuss the issues provided. I have provided multiple timeframes when I would be available to discuss the issues, but I have not received a call. I booked the space two months prior to our party and had constant communication with the representative. My fiancée's family arrived at the venue early, prior to the proposal, to set up balloons and a sign. This was agreed upon in my email communication with the venue. When they arrived they were told they could not set up because the venue was double-booked, despite the constant communication we had maintained via email. We were then moved to a different part of the restaurant. However, our friends, who were forced to come help set up because our parents had to leave for the proposal, were told that they could not begin setting up until a bit past 6:00 p.m. This significantly shifted a number of our planned timelines. During the party, starting around 9:00 p.m. Guests began coming up to me to tell me that the bar had closed and that they had been cut off. I was personally told by the staff that they were no longer serving drinks at approximately 9:15 p.m. I had to explain to them that the bar was supposed to remain open until 10:00 p.m., as agreed upon in our package. The manager eventually came over, and we discussed the situation. He explained that because people had been drinking prior to 7:00 p.m., the bar was being shut down earlier than 10:00 p.m. If this was the policy, it should have been addressed when guests first began ordering and clearly communicated to everyone that the open bar did not begin until 7:00 p.m. Throughout this process, the bartenders were rude to our guests and gave the clear impression that they wanted to be anywhere else. Additionally, there was no sign or indication from the bartenders explaining what people could order or what was included in the package I had purchased. This led to a lot of confusion amongst guests. There were also issues with the billing. Prior to the party, the person who helped me arrange the event provided me with a quote that was a set price per person, plus tax and gratuity. When it came time to pay the bill, I provided my credit card, and the receipt that was returned to me was an itemized bill that included additional items that were not part of the package I had purchased. Overall, the lack of communication, disorganization, poor service, and billing discrepancies made what should have been a very special occasion unnecessarily stressful and disappointing. read more

Although the interior is gorgeous, the brunch was a disappointment. My friends and I opted for their $30 bottomless brunch which has a fantastic selection of drinks such as Spritz, Rose and Mimosas. The drinks were very good, however our waitress did not bring them out efficiently and cut us off right before the 90 min mark by throwing the bill at our table. From my understanding, they were understaffed but the waitress was very rude to us and short with her responses. It would take a while for them to bring the Spritz out, which again might have been due to the understaffing issue, but I would've hoped the server would be kinder to us about it. Finally, I had the omelette which was a bit dry. Potatoes were great though! I hope their service gets better because the location of this restaurant is A+ for summer days. read more

I have hit or miss feelings about Americano. I think they have a decent happy hour but I'm not sure I would come out of my way for dinner. Atmosphere is great. It's really cute inside and they have a good sized patio. Service overall was great but it took forever for our waiter to come over to our table initially. He made up for it though in charm. I had an espresso martini and it was good, and love an $8 hh deal. I also had a glass of wine which was decent. The cheese board is ??? I liked the variety but the cheese just seemed like it came off a cheese board from costco. The fries were alright. read more

Came in for happy hour with some friends. We had a reservation and got there on time. It was very crowded so we did not get sat at the time of our reservation, but we had priority over others who were walk-ins. So I would suggest making a reservation. The martinis were good. I will day the lemon drop was a but underwhelming, it tasted more like lemonade and wasn't very balanced. The oysters were decent, i wanted more toppings to dress them. I only got lemons, cocktail sauce, and hot sauce. Wings are sizable and my friends said they were good. read more

GET THE SMASH BURGER! Dare I say one of the best in all of Chicago? I've had au cheval, portillos, Beatrix, etc. and I have to say the smash burger at Americano caught me by surprise by how good it was. The burger comes with caramelize onions, cheese and pickles and they just worked so well together. We came for the bottomless mimosas but left knowing that we had to come back for the burger. My girlfriend and I have this thing where we hit all the bottomless brunch spots that served more than just mimosas so when I heard of Americano we had to jump on it! Made an easy reservation online and we were prepared to have a blast. Upon arrival we noticed it is a small location but it is so beautifully decorated. Very detailed - everywhere you look you can see something interesting on the wall or hanging. Because of how small, the hostess podium was packed with people and a little weird to maneuver around. Once we got up to the hostess she sat us after waiting for a bit. We were greeted by a very kind waitress. Now the bottomless included mimosas, sangria, rose, & seltzers. I stuck with sangria which was tasty but I'll be honest in saying i didn't leave there with a great buzz like I usually do at other places unfortunately! My friend had the rose first which she didn't enjoy too much so she switched to the sangria. Now on to the food... I was disappointed, sadly, i ordered steak and eggs and it was really flavorless. I requested it medium well and it gave medium rare - super chewy, some indigestible. I took the steak home to recook and that was better. My friend's lobster roll was laughable.... It had barely anything in it - it was all bread. The 3 stars were really our waitress and the ambiance of the place. 2 taken away for F&B. read more

I unfortunately can't say I was really impressed with the dinner experience here. I've been once for brunch, and had an average experience, but they seemed unprepared and chaotic during dinner service. For one, I overhead the hostess tell a party that they overbooked, which is never a good sign. I could definitely tell by the number of tables that were occupied. Service was extremely slow and subpar, but I don't blame our server. He was in charge of what seemed like more than he could possibly handle, which doesn't reflect well on management. A few of our dishes were prepared incorrectly and the quality of ingredients was average to below average. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, to the point that we couldn't even really enjoy each others company. Lots of room for improvement, Americano. read more

We came for an impromptu happy hour and was told the establishment was booked the whole night for a private party. We went to the J Parker for a drink but liked the vibe at Americano so randomly just decided to stop back downstairs to see what it's like. To our surprise there was no one sitting in there! So we grabbed 2 seats at the bar and of course was told wrong info about there being a private event all day. My friend really wanted happy hour and asked if we could still take advantage due to this and the manager refused to come by after our fabulous bartender went to get him. After several minutes I finally motioned him to come over so we could ask him and he said no and sorry we got wrong info. That put a bad taste in my mouth but my friend really wanted to eat here. We order 2 cocktails which were fabulous and decided to order food. The kitchen was slow to bring out food but finally got it to us and it wasn't that great. Stick to fries! The manager comes over as we are getting our second drink and finishing our food and tells us there is a private party coming and we need to check out and leave. I was flabbergasted so of course I told him it's very bad taste and he did comp our appetizer but I will never go back. Food meh Service blah Giana was the only highlight of our experience. She is amazing and makes great cocktails. read more

A really great space under the Hotel Lincoln that has potential, but unfortunately didn't live up to it while we were there. I think atmosphere is the only thing they have going for it. Food: crudo was not chilled which made me worry about its quality. Their ceviche had olive which was an interesting take, unfortunately it overwhelmed the dish. The steak was too chewy for medium rare. The good: raw oysters were good and the sea bass was tender and cooked perfectly. The mussels were plump and large too, albeit the dish overall was too salty. Service: so. Slow. We were there for 2.5 hours not because we were chatting, because food took so long to come out. Maybe because they're new, but they have to figure out the logistics. Our waiter was sweet but she seemed really nervous for some reason. It put us off from fully enjoying our meal. read more

I really like this spot. I've eaten here a bunch of times now and felt like I at least owed a nice review. Everyone I've chatted with from the hosting station to the bar to my table is always attentive an friendly. I am a sucker for a good burger and Americano has one! I've ordered a handful of times and have now begun forcing others eating with me to order it as well to avoid having to share any of mine. The service was honestly terrible. Our waiter -- a short Latino guy with glasses that served us at the left corner booth by the bar -- had a major attitude from the beginning and made multiple condescending remarks to our table throughout the night. The worst part was when he accused us of trying to dine and dash after he disappeared for at least 30 minutes and never once checked on us. We eventually had to ask another waiter just to get our check because he seemed to avoid our table at all costs. Every interaction with him felt rude and dismissive, and it completely ruined the experience for my friends and me. If the staff doesn't want to serve people during happy hour, then maybe change the happy hour times instead of taking it out on customers. We left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, and we definitely will not be returning. read more

I ordered a dirty martini, my go-to drink and received what was basically olive brine (you could even just see it in the glass) with a hint of gin. When I mentioned it, the server curly said, "Too dirty for you?" instead of acknowledging the issue. I asked if they could remake it, which they did in the same glass with even the same broken olive. Was it that hard to do something fresh? Then I ordered the beet salad. It tasted odd and I noticed that the cheese was feta instead of the goat cheese that was written on the menu and the candied walnuts were just plain. I mentioned it again to the server and even told her she didn't have to take it back but that she should let the kitchen know so that the next person wouldn't have this issue. In the most condescending tone she asked, "Oh? You really think that's the wrong cheese huh? Okay I'll let them know." We paid the bill but stayed to finish the wine we ordered (to prevent any more cocktail issues) and she returned to say, "You were right. Here's some goat cheese." She never apologized and just handed us a little cup of goat cheese. What kind of service is this? We also ordered fries when we got the wine and a lot of them were cooked to the point they turned dark brown. The ambiance was cute on a surface level but the table we were given was so unbelievably wobbly that our drinks kept spilling. We're paying to have correct food and pointing out a mistake shouldn't be met with this kind of attitude. Mid food. Bad service. Not worth the money. Avoid this place. read more
