Fried pickle: fresh and hot and crispy. Great appetizer Brussel sprouts: very caramalized, right amount of seasoning Chicken wings: chipotle bbq cover is slightly sweet which is good. Which the flavor a bit stronger Churro shake: love the chunks of churro in it Backyard bbq burger: pretty good as a burger and I don't really care about burgers that much Price is pretty decent for this amount of food

Service was good. The toppings are the burgers are great, the burger itself was disappointing. There are just so many better burger places in Chicago. At the price point the value for the burger was not great. The onion fries weee amazing though!!

Two cocktails are positioned on a wooden table in a restaurant setting. The left drink is pink with a lemon slice on top, and the right drink is light yellow with a lime wedge. Both drinks have black straws. The background features a dark wall with a large, illuminated DMK sign and some patrons seated at tables.

When you're featured on Food Networks Diner, Drive Ins and Dives AND named Chicagos most Iconic Burger by Eater magazine- you gotta be doing something right and DMK has definitely made their presence known in the Burger world! To go along with their great food, DMK Burger Bar also features trivia night, happy hour, football game-day specials and more! I loved how soft and fresh the Artisan buns were for the burgers. I was literally in awe of them The chili rubbed onion strings are like the Auntie of regular onion rings- they're an upgraded version, with the perfect blend of seasonings! My friend/neice tried the Sunrise burger while I had the turkey burger with a fried egg and avocado added - extremely good seasoning and flavor on them and they have so many craft burgers that you can choose from. However, I gotta put the spotlight on the apple pie shake! It's their shake of the month and it's beyond delicious! It has pie pieces inside of it!! Now with ANY OF THEIR SHAKES - YOU CAN MAKE IT BOOZY AND ADD A SHOT OF WHATEVER YOU WANT! I added a shot of bourbon to mine and it was soooooo good! I'm definite going back bc I want that chicken sandwich next...... and another boozy shake!

I kid you not - DMK Burger Bar has the BEST turkey burger in Chicago! This spot is one of my new favorites in the Lake View East neighborhood and has a great menu filled with lots of American favorites - including a bunch of delicious and innovative burgers! We tried a little bit of everything, so here's the full list: Parmesan Truffle Fries Apple Manchego Salad Blueberry BBQ Chicken Wings Guacamole Burger Grilled Turkey Burger Boozy PB Chocolate Banana Shake We had a phenomenal time here and everything we tried was DELICIOUS - plus our service was great! We also had a couple cocktails which were great too - you truly cannot go wrong here! **Please note that although I received this experience for free, all of my opinions are honest and entirely my own.** Follow @Corrine_Eats on Instagram & TikTok for more!

I went to DMK Burger Bar for the first time recently and everything was delicious! They have a full bar and their drinks are great and the beer selection was spot on. This is great for a group dining option since they have generous sized shareable dishes that are also amazing! Service was fast. I definitely will be back! the Brussels sprouts were my favorite!

Trying grass fed beef burger for the first time and it was so good! Went on a Friday evening and it was full house. I went on a rainy night so wasn't expecting it to be so busy, but loved the ambiance for a Friday evening. Despite how packed it was, service was great and food didn't take long. Here's what we ordered: -sunrise burger: perfect combination of jalapeño, runny egg, and bacon. It was so delicious. -big DMK: my dining mate who typically order medium rare (not sure if he did this time) said it was a bit dry. Would opt for a single patty next time -fries: Parmesan cheese & truffle cream. Need I say more? It was addicting with the burger. The cream dip made it fun to eat fries and I couldn't stop going for it. -wings & drums: blueberry bbq & buffalo. Honestly, the color of blueberry bbq was intimidating but once I got past the colors, it was sweet bbq and was tasty. I preferred blueberry bbq over buffalo, but I liked the onion strings that came with it. -Brussels sprouts: I always order Brussels sprouts whenever I can and this was crispy, yet sweet. Some places make it soggy and I hate it but this was warm in the center, crispy on the outside. It was a perfect mix w bacon, cheese, and glaze. One of my favorite. Drinks: -hibiscus refresher: so pretty in color. Not to sweet. I liked the touch of tea and lemon flavor, that wasn't too strong in tea flavor Buzzin: I like gin so I ordered. Not as sweet as hibiscus drink but it was a good one to finish off my meal.

Stopped in for dinner the other night and had nice dining experience. Had the Guacamole Burger that came with 1/3lb patty cooked perfectly, jack cheese, guacamole, chorizo and chipotle aioli. Bun was toasted and buttery and added a lot to the burger. Service was quick and friendly. Cool and clean dining room was inviting.

I have been meaning to check this place out for years!! As Chicago knows we have many options for great burgers, but this was fantastic. I met an old coworker here and we had 2 burgers and fries. She ordered the #6 Guacamole Burger and I made my own (cheese, onion straws, bacon). She got angry fries and I got sweet potato. Everything was really good- the potato bun was nice and soft, the burger juicy flavorful, toppings fresh, fries crisp. I really love that they use grass fed beef. We ended up splitting their seasonal milkshake, which was Marshmallow. It tasted like a campfire. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we went, but is very dark inside no matter what time of day it is. It gives off bar vibes. Our server was helpful and made us feel welcome. I would absolutely come back here. Overall experience 5/5.

DMK definitely satisfied my burger craving! I ordered the Rambler burger and Parmesan truffle fries (shareable size), and the sauce for the fries was delicious. They also have trivia on Thursdays, which we didn't stay for but looked fun! Overall, friendly service and great food!

I remember I first visited DMK when they opened their original location in 2009. They were THE hotness in Lakeview for elevated burgers with creative toppings. It's so exciting that they've now been operating for 15 years as one of the most beloved burger joints in Chicago, still serving tasty burgers using 100% grass-fed beef patties on their signature artisanal buns. We recently had the opportunity to visit and loaded up on several menu items. Our favorites were the Big DMK, the Parmesan Truffle Fries, the Chipotle BBQ Chicken Wings and the Churro Shake. The Big DMK is their version of a Big Mac and it is massive. It comes with double grass-fed beef patties (2/3lb), American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato and DMK sauce. This thing is juicy! We also really loved the DMK sauce. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were yummy and just one of SIX different fry styles that are available at DMK. They've got some other fun ones like Angry Fries and Blue Cheese & Bacon Fries. You have to appreciate a place with an impressive fry game. The Chicken Wings were plump and tender, and the Chipotle BBQ sauce was finger-licking good. Finally, I love churros, and really anything cinnamon in general, so you know when I saw their Chef's Feature was a Churro Shake, I had to order it. Skip the straw, this thing requires a spoon! It's filled with big dreamy chunks of churro and will melt your heart with every bite. If you're looking for that solid burger, fry and milkshake combo, DMK is a great option. They also have a nice cocktail and beer selection, if you're feelin' frisky.

I come to DMK for trivia a few times a month. Usually I just drink some beer or snag a milkshake, but every once in a while I decide to get a full meal and it delivers. The sunrise burger was one of the best burgers I've had in my life, but I just wish I had had more of it. Overall, DMK exists in that awkward price range where it's not cheap but I'm not quite comfortable paying the prices for the meal and a side because it's not quite a luxury spot either. Maybe that's just a me problem, but that's how I am.

Truly a wonderful place to get your style on over drinks. After Salon hours this place turns into a cozy little bar with wonderful cocktails and excellent service where you can actually have a conversation with friends. How old fashioned is that!? The venue is also an event space! Our theater company has now done two amazing benefits here and - wow, what an amazing event space this is. Three bar service locations, ample seating space, a cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, and an upscale, luxurious feel to the whole place. We never get tired of coming here. But all of that together does not measure up to the heart and soul of the space brought to it by Jerry and Lee. Go. You'll fall in love too.

I entered, and an greeted by a salon smell. It was not overpowering and was arguably pleasant, and but I see a bar to the left, so I am in the right place. Fair enough, I have a seat. This isn't them being cute with a theme, there is a bona-fide salon here, though it does not operate as late as the bar and was tucked away behind a curtain. Speaking to a regular, it is possible to have a cocktail while having your hair cut (or maybe waiting at some point in the process?) But I digress. I ordered a Taxi Dancer - an extremely pleasant whiskey-based drink that was spirit forward without being overwhelming (though I drink whiskey neat, so take this with a grain of salt). It had a perfect level of sweetness, and a little spice (not heat). The vibe here is upscale, modern, and bright. The bar staff is friendly and welcoming to newcomers and regulars alike. I also love that their prices seem to be reasonable, all things considered. The aforementioned cocktail is $16, which is fair considering the quality. While on that particular night I only had the one, I will be happily adding Buzzed by Zea to my cocktail bar rotation when I feel like going out for a night on the town.

It was the right move because it had the kind of chill vibe we were seeking after a long flight from SFO. Fortunately there were two seats at the bar with our names on them. Figuratively speaking. They had quite a signature cocktail list on hand, and we felt it was our obligation to try as many as we could. At least that was what we said to ourselves as the evening wore on. Each cocktail was $14. We started with a couple of familiar libations. Jamie ordered the Mint Julep, a delightfully Deep South mix of bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh mint (photo: https://yelp.to/u-td8LdPLj). I went further south with the Pineapple Margarita which was emboldened by a tropically potent mix of pineapple infused tequila, lime juice, and agave (photo: https://yelp.to/V-Sf6Q_2qK). We got a bit bolder with our second round and found mixed results. Jamie had the Not Your Mom's Daiquiri which amped up the margarita by blending pineapple-infused tequila with Bacardi 8-year rum. Along with fresh lime and simple syrup, this one definitely had more of a kick (photo: https://yelp.to/1ZijDf6wMV). However, my order, the Pontiac Pony, was a spicy miss for me. It was a rather oddball mix of apple-cinnamon infused vodka, pear liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and ginger beer (photo: https://yelp.to/5dQoFdzG98). There was just a harshness that didn't sit well on my tongue. Oh well, the mellow vibe was cool. I happened to discover LNF during a Yelp Event when LNF turned into Rudolph's Bar, a jolly holly Xmas Extravaganza! I do not believe there was a single spot in the bar that had not been covered in Xmas decorations. It was total sensory overload to the point I did not put up any directions 2025 because I had seen enough at LNF. HAHAHAHAHA! On the strength of the food and drinks that night, I decided to go back once all of the Xmas hoopla was over. Going back in 2026 was a more subdue, but enjoyable time for me. As I mentioned in my 2025 review, even with all the Xmas decoration, the overall vibe was a step up from the typical bars around the Cubs playground. I would have loved a regular girls night out there instead of the last hurrah of me and The Queen. I had mentioned to her about the cocktails and the pizzas I had during the Yelp event and we decided to stop in before heading to the Alamo Drafthouse for a movie. Me and The Queen go the Spicy Sausage pizza and those fries, since I talked about the food to her. Again it was really good, with the crust still being nice and thin. The Queen did not think it was all that spicy, but she eats Hell Ramen Level 4, so I do not look to her for confirmation of hotness when it comes to food. We had cocktails and The Queen (because she was driving) had a Margarita made with a zero proof Tequila. I have to say it was not that bad and I got one and added Prosecco to it...delish. Me and The Queen had a great time chatting, eating and drinking at LNF, but were both sad that we were going to miss out on the opportunity to turn this into one of our rotation hangouts. But I will always be grateful for them introducing me to their Red Bull Winter Spritz. Since that Yelp Event, I have bought three cases of Red Bull Sugar-Free Fuji Apple and Ginger Winter Edition Energy Drink to make the cocktail. Not sure if it is exactly how they did it, but it works for me. So long LNF, it was good knowing you, even if it was for a short time. Deuces!

My goal is to try 50 new Chicago restaurants in 2025!…read moreRestaurant: 63/50 Month tried: November Favorite dish: I would not eat here again Woooof. We had a reservation for 9 am the day of the Michigan/Northwestern game at Wrigley Field. Figured we would have a quick brunch then go enjoy the pre-game atmosphere. Well, when we had been sitting for nearly 30 minutes with no server to be found, we started to get nervous. She finally came over and while she was sweet, really just nothing went right. A food runner brought out a tray that appeared to have all of our orders, but then only served one plate before walking away. It was a solid 10-15 minutes before anyone else's meals were brought out, and even then it was one plate at a time every few minutes, not the rest of the order at once. And everything was cold. Every single item. The chicken and waffles felt like it came out of the fridge it was so cold. And the worst part - we had a member in our party with a severe nut allergy, who told the server 3 times. She noted it, and made sure he would get white toast instead of wheat. When his meal came, there were two huge pieces of wheat toast with visible nuts across his ENTIRE plate. Touching every piece of food. He said again that he was allergic, and they just removed the toast and handed the plate back. It had already touched everything! Since at this point we had to leave soon for the game (and because we now couldn't trust a kitchen that doesn't understand a nut allergy), we just had them remove his order from the check and he didn't get to eat. The server did take 20% off the total bill and gave us a gift card to make up for our terrible experience. Like I said, she was very nice and trying her best. She was just at the mercy of the kitchen being behind and screwing up. But as a Wrigleyville restaurant, you MUST be able to handle lots of customers on a game day. That's like the one thing Wrigley bars need to be good at. This is just not an environment I would choose to be in again, especially for the steep prices. We'll use the gift card for drinks at the bar on a non-game day, and wipe our hands of Lost Never Found.
