RENTER BEWARE! You'd better read this because trust me, you will never read your rental contract…read more If you close out your account on the first of the month (like, on the date you'd move into a new house or apartment), Public Storage will CHARGE YOU FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH. I moved out the afternoon of July 1 and was charged for an entire month, or 600% of the half day my stuff was in their storage facility. This is a patently unfair policy and the very worst kind of corporate bad behavior. The site manager said that he'd talk to his supervisor and I'd get an email. No email. Next thing you know was a call from a collection agency. I told them to F-off. Then I called customer service and I got the usual mealy-mouthed excuse of "well, that's company policy and while I understand your situation, there's nothing I can do about it." In my entire time on this planet I've never come across any company that was this rigid. Utter B.S. So if you like being completely screwed, use Public Storage. But you'd better clear out your crap at the end of the month. Oh, what's that, you can't move into the new place until the first of the month. I don't have any suggestions. Maybe you should put it in a storage facility...or, maybe not. To the corporate management of Public Storage--there is a special place in hell for you uncaring bastards who take advantage of people who are stressed out by moving. I hope your facilities stay empty for all eternity.

Let me start by say my negative review in this situation is currently being blocked on google…read moresomehow. Initially I liked this place. However after a year of being there I'm done. It's an epic dumpster fire that treats their lower level employees like trash ( no I'm not a disgruntled employee ). The facility has had multiple flooding issues because they have refused to address the sprinkler system and electrical issues involving the sprinkler system. I'm currently moving out of Salem and today my wife and I were doing on last clean out to finish our move. To our surprise we found an epic flood. The sprinkler system had clearly burst and had been doing so for hours. I had to call the fire department to come down to shut the water off to the sprinkler system. I spoke openly with the Salem fire department and they informed me that they have had multiple issues with this and tried to address the situation with the district manager and at the corporate level to no avail. Their concerns fell on deaf ears. The poor assistant manager had to show up in her pajamas to try and address the problem. Meanwhile the useless district manager and the useless general manager sat at home on the phone. This facility has become an epic dumpster fire. They had great management for a while until some genius decided to make unnecessary changes. They over charge for a facility with a rat problem, a clear structural and electrical facility issue. I'm not sure who actually has the ability to make a decision with this location but who ever it is should be fired because they are absolutely incompetent and uncaring of customer support and care. I'm attaching actual photos and hopefully the videos of the issue. Again because they haven't addressed the problem I HAD TO CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND IF I HADN'T BEEN THERE THE LEAK WOULD STILL BE GOING!!! Also see the oil slick in the water... because someone was allowed to store large quantities of oil in their unit, which is against their so called lease agreement. BRING BACK TYLER!!! I'm not the only one fighting this. There are at the very least 10 - 20 other tenants ( one who has lost over $100,000 in damages) fighting this company. The manager is unprofessional and seriously needs to rethink how he speaks to customers and deals with women specifically. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SUBSTANDARD.

Mitch and his team were the most professional movers I've ever used, and that's saying something…read moreconsidering my wife and I have moved about 4-5 times in 6 years. They made sure my (pregnant & anxious) wife was very relaxed and comfortable seeing all our valuables wrapped and loaded up, quite safely and securely might I add. They got to our 2 bedroom apartment right on time, and even though we had quite a bit more than they anticipated (definitely a miscalculation on my part) they came more than prepared with extra truck space, blankets, tape, wrap, and more. We moved into a single family home and they delicately, quickly, and safely put everything where we envisioned, reassembled everything perfectly, and didn't complain once when my wife had them move things just a hair here, there, and everywhere. It really made it SO easy for us to get settled in and just be able to focus on our baby coming. I would recommend ManyHands to any and everyone in North Shore, Boston, South Shore, really anywhere in New England that they cover. I hopefully won't be moving again for a long time, but if I was I'd absolutely call them first.
