I called a couple of other junk companies and was ready to go with one of them when I remembered seeing Amaral trucks from time to time. So, I looked them up and called. The owner answered and he gave me a price that was lower than anyone else. I hired him. He came with 3 workers. I told them what needed to be done and off they went. An hour and a half later, the apartment was clean, the truck was full and I had one less headache. The workers were great and the owner was easy to talk to and courteous. I will definitely have him on my list if I need to clean something else up.

The price was a bit of a sticker shock but I was under a time restraint and they were able to accommodate a next day pickup. After dealing with another company over the phone who sounded like a bunch of thugs, that I wouldn't want to even know my address, I decided to pay more and went with Flannery's. The lads showed up on time, phoned when they were 10 minutes away, and like Boy Scouts; helpful, friendly, courteous, cheerful and kind. They were in and out in a breeze and respected parking zones, the apartment building and inside our home. They were good communicators and seemed genuinely content in being part of a family business. I would absolutely not use this business based on my experience…read more I initially spoke with the owner by phone and then arranged for him to come to an apt I was handling for the landlord to provide an estimate. After he gave me his quote, I told him, "Okay, I'll get back to you. I have to get my other quotes." His response was, "F*** this. I knew you were wasting my time," and he walked away. I was shocked by the reaction. I had never told him that I was definitely hiring him, and I don't think there is anything unusual about getting more than one estimate before deciding who to hire. Later, after I told him that if he speaks to all of his customers the way he spoke to me I was surprised he gets any business at all, he responded by calling me a "scumbag" and saying he knew I was one from our phone conversation. I can only describe my own experience, but based on the way I was spoken to both in person and afterward by THE OWNER , I would not use this business or recommend it to others. They don't even deserve one star. But there was choice for zero stars
