Once they seen I was having difficulty bending and reaching the immediately they jumped in and actually did the work for me. You talk about moving slow , The movers were very young, both in their 20s. I asked them which fire…read moredepartment they worked for. One explained he was in college, and the other said he raced BMX bikes professionally. It quickly became apparent that they weren't experienced movers. It took them an hour just to take apart my king-size bed. The day before, a friend and I moved all 70 boxes ourselves in about five hours total, including loading and unloading. I hired the movers only for the large furniture: a king-size bed, two nightstands, a dresser, a bench, a 65-inch TV, a TV stand, a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. Moving those items just four miles took them 6.75 hours, which is what I was billed for. After the first hour and a half, they had only taken apart the bed and moved the mattress downstairs. I asked why it was taking so long because it honestly felt like they were dragging their feet. Had I known they weren't actually firefighters, I never would have hired them. I chose this company because my neighbor had used them a few months earlier. I watched that move, and they were in and out very quickly. She also told me nothing was damaged, which gave me confidence in hiring them. Although I was frustrated with how long the move took, I still tipped them 10% using my credit card. I was then surprised to learn there was a 4% credit card processing fee. Since Square charges businesses 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction, I felt that passing along a 4% fee was excessive, so I deducted that amount from the tip. They used Square to process my transaction. As a small business owner in Scottsdale, I understand the cost of processing credit cards. While I would not use this service again. I was also disappointed that the company's name implied the movers were firefighters when they were not. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I was charged two hours of travel time coming and going to my place when they were getting ready to leave I googled travel time back to surprise and it said 43 minutes I was billed for an hour when I said something he said that they were going past Surprise to the yard that they had to return the truck too. Response to the owners reply The bed has hex screws holding it together, so the only reason it would be difficult to take apart is if you didn't have the proper tools. The fact that you wish you could provide bulky, glistening calendar movers has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote in my review or with the efficiency of the movers. I want to be a billionaire, but that doesn't mean I'm going to become one. Likewise, using a name that gives people the impression they are supporting local firefighters is misleading. I see that you don't take constructive criticism well. I stand by my original review and was simply sharing my honest experience.

We were driving to AZ from another state and at around 3AM with 3 hours of driving left, we realized we were really going to need help to unload our U-Haul truck in about 9 hours. The guys met us at our apartment and unloaded our truck in the heat quick! We couldn't have done it without them, especially with the stairs! Handled everything with care, efficient efforts, very nice gentleman. I'm referring anyone i know to them who needs any moving assistance. As a first time homebuyer the transition was seamless. I couldn't think of a better company and owner to hire for my moving needs!! Thanks again Amare!!

This is your warning - do not use this company…read more I have used Amare's company several times to move things around in my house. This time I booked his company to move my entire home to a location about 30 minutes away. I was offered two or three movers and I opted for three. Only two movers showed up - four hours later than the original time I was told. I was told an arrival time of 6-7 a.m. At 6:30 a.m., the morning of the move, I receive a text that they had a very long day the day before and asked if it was ok if they "pressed the job back a little bit". I said yes. What was I going to say? They knew the time I had to be out of my house so I assumed they had it under control. They do this for a living - I do not. When two movers arrived they immediately seemed overwhelmed and called Amare to let him know they didn't know how they were going to get it done. Not exactly what you want to hear when you have to be out of your house by a specific time - which Amare was aware of. Amare had been in my home and was very aware of the contents. He actually showed up to help for a little bit because he said he knew I had a lot of stuff. It took two trips. Meanwhile, I have a realtor yelling at me asking where the keys are - when half of my house is still waiting to be loaded on the truck. Near the end of the second trip they made me aware that things were staying. Not that they needed to make a third trip - but that things were not coming with them (me). What???? How is that possible???? I tried to tell them that I have no way of moving these items - hence the reason I hired them. But things got left. My belongings were left because the movers that I hired decided at the very end that they were done. Not sure the reason and it doesn't really matter. My belongings were left behind. Then as I unpack came the shock of everything that was damaged beyond repair. Two very large paintings damaged, a large mirror cracked, two large glass lamps destroyed, a glass table chipped, a custom couch scuffed on the corners and the legs scuffed - thousands of dollars of items that I can't replace. I guess one of my mirrors must have been one of the items that was "left behind" because it's nowhere to be found. A dolly is missing. The list goes on and on. I hired a team that I thought could handle the job, but they obviously couldn't. It's not just the stress of losing the monetary value, it was also the stress of dealing with these three men. My husband wasn't present for the news that things were going to be left behind, it was me and my daughter. Would they have pulled that if my husband was present? My husband insisted on tipping them - because it was hot outside - not realizing the shenanigans they pulled and not realizing the degree of our damaged/"lost" possessions. So, moral of the story - don't hire this company - as you will regret it. I did contact Amare to let him know my concerns. I reached out to him first before writing a review, thinking we could arrive at a resolution. That was 9/1 and I'm writing this on 9/13 as I still haven't heard back from Amare.

Keep changing your replies. I'm getting email notifications and screenshotting all of them. ORIGINAL UNEDITED POST: I sincerely dread posting this review but I think it is necessary. Mr Buff was recommended to me by a friend who used them and LOVED them. Mr Buff is extremely nice and they did an excellent job moving things. There's just a couple of things I'd like to point out- 1) I was quoted $401 to move about 5 items of furniture. I moved literally everything else myself. I was also just switching apartments in the same complex, so no real travel. I agreed to this price and it was fine, but looking back, it took, maybe 45 minutes and $401 base (not including tip) seems pretty high. I wish I had figured out alternative means like hiring local guys for cheaper. So I don't feel like I got my money's worth. With that said - my friend moved an entire 2 story house for only $1,500 and feels like she definitely got her moneys worth. So I'm sure across the board, they are likely reasonably priced. 2) And the biggest issue - one of the workers texted my personal cell phone the night following my move saying he got my number from the paperwork and found me intriguing and wants to know more about me. I did call Mr Buff immediately to alert him. Mr Buff told me to block the number. I am mortified that my personal details were taken from the private paperwork by an employee for personal use. He also knows where I live which really concerns me and the fact that I told on him to his boss. Although Mr Buff seemed genuinely upset over this when I called him, I do think there should've been some kind of apology, alert that this would be handled internally, assurance it would not happen again, and follow up that it was handled. Maybe it was handled, idk what happened, but I didn't receive follow up. Either way, I feel bad I have to give a slightly poor rating because Mr Buff does seem great and like he works so terribly hard and I know so many others have had such positive interactions with the company, but I want to share so others are aware and so the company can reinforce appropriate boundaries around customer information. You can also see I called immediately after receiving the terrible text message. Gross.
