Fantastic sushi! The Sashimi is very fresh and nice large cuts of fish. I also ordered the tuna oshi. The pieces were huge and delicious. I really enjoyed the unique unagi sauce on top. The menu has tons of interesting roll combinations, plus a bunch of Japanese style hot dishes. I'm looking forward to returning to Maple sushi and try more items on the menu. Ive been living in Maple Ridge for more than 25 yrs. Ive got to say I've never tasted anything like their Karate chicken. Usually crispy and not greasy with a light almost sweet batter. "Not even close" is how would describe. Chicken chunks in a greasy batter with a weird taste. I ate 2 pieces of. order last night. I should have taken them back. Easily the best sushi Maple Ridge has to offer. Maple Sushi has a lot when it comes to sushi rolls, especially vegetarian rolls! The Garden Platter is worth ordering if you are someone who enjoys a fish free sushi experience. I found out about Maple Sushi from a friend as I was becoming quite bored by the limited vegetarian options most sushi joints had to offer. Included in the Garden Platter are a variety of delicious rolls that features more than just cucumber and avocado. Rolls included in the platter are: I Am Soldier, Avocado roll, the Energy roll (easily my favourite!), the Yoko, Fat Elvis (avocado & cream cheese tempura = heavenly), 2 pcs Inari, and Grilled Asparagus roll. Each roll has a variety of flavour combinations that complement each other well. If you are a big sushi eater, this platter can easily feed you and a friend. It would be a great addition to any party this holiday season. The service is fantastic and the ambience of the restaurant is quirky. I love all of the signage and nods to Canada. It's a nice touch. Overall, this is easily my favourite sushi restaurant in town and is worth every penny. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. read more

My first time ordering from Maple Sushi, and I used 'Skip The Dishes'. I only ordered from this place because it was the only sushi place that uses skip the dishes haha. I really like being able to order online and seeing my order laid out in front of me. I ordered appetizer sashimi, the volcano roll, bento box D and 7 nigiris. 3 tuna, 2 salmon, 1 wasabi scallop nigiri and 1 hotategai (scallop). The food was hot and fresh, but some of it was shifted in the containers. Not sure if that was at the restaurant or from the delivery driver. read more

My friends and I stumbled onto this gem of a sushi restaurant recently, and I can't say enough good things about our visit. We came on a Saturday afternoon, the dining room was fairly quiet ( 2 other tables of people when we got there) There are lots of things to look at around the room, funky lights, knickknacks,art, and photos of their food all line the walls. The service was excellent, the server was very sweet, answered all our many questions and brought tea refills before we even realized we needed it. NOW for the most important stuff... the food!! They started the meal with complementary miso soups and dishes of jello(jello?), and a hot cup of a fantastic jasmin green tea. The variety of rolls is extensive and reminds me of The Eatery in the west end, but at a fraction of the price! The Gomae salad is huge, like 4 times you would get at most sushi places and is seasoned perfectly. We shared a number of rolls and everything we had was too quality(you could taste the love) and they looked just as pretty as they do in their photos. If you like mushrooms, you must try the SuperMario roll! And don't forget an order of Fat Elvis (tempura avocado) I can't wait to come back here? Very cute place with really good friendly service! All the ingredients were fresh and the price is good. We tried a few of the fusion rolls. They were very innovative, but some i found very bland. The Canadian, and the s&m were the stand outs! I didn't love the Tex mex. it was very heavy on the sauce. And i thought the beast and the Montreal bull were lacking flavour. I'd definitely eat here again, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Gross... I just picked up sushi from this place. I could smell something was off as soon as I got into the truck. Brought it home and had a few bites and it tasted absolutely Rancid! I phoned them to ask for a refund and she told me it was the only complaint they have had today, and she wouldn't be able to refund my money! Didn't have enough money in the till to break a bill I brought in which is also never a good sign. 20 worth of sushi straight into the garbage. If I throw up later I'll know exactly why. With so many sushi choices in town, steer clear of this place. The roll I got was a "paradise roll", basically a deep fried California roll with seaweed on top. The rice tasted off, the oil they fried it with was likely never changed and there was a taste of ammonia to it with a smell so intensely bad I can't begin to describe it but it will be a smell I won't soon forget. The Nigiri I ordered tasted like it had been sitting in room temperature all day. It had that clear cut extra old extra warm fishy taste to it. STAY AWAY! read more

Their employees are very rude. I saw many times their attitudes to the customers, and there is no respect from for customers. They can't manage five order to be prepared, and taking so long to prepare the orders. Hopefully they are going to change their employees. read more

If I could give it more stars I would. Apparently new ownership and the food and service was awesome. My husband and I tried 6 different dishes including the free appetizer sent over by the chef. This is one of the best is Maple Ridge!!! Super wide variety of sushi and other Japanese foods to choose from and there's something for everyone. To make it a bit easier to decide from so many choices, they have photos of every item on the menu displayed in the store in a cute/creative way. There are lots of sushi restaurants in Maple Ridge and if you couldn't already tell by the name, Maple Sushi is the only place I know of that combines Japanese food with I guess Canadian food or Canadian themes. It's a super fun looking place, nice ambiance, I often see people on dates there, and although I've never used it I know they have a good delivery service. My favourite item on the menu is the Sexy Lady Roll and the gyoza is realllyyyy good too. Miso soup is also on the house! Definitely recommend this place to whoever is trying to figure out what sushi place they should go to in town. It's this one! read more
