The only thing I didn't love was the udon. I felt it was a bit flavorless (even in the broth). Everything else was good. Highly recc the Oshi! The service is prompt and the servers are nice. Food was served quite quickly and it tasted fresh! Quite impressed for a casual sit in place. The atmosphere was nothing special. Felt a bit more like a quick take out place (given it's located in a plaza surrounded by other quick takeout places) but it was calm inside.

We ordered the daily special, which was a big sushi plate (I can't recall the ingredients), Teriyaki Combo Box B with chicken, and Seafood Udon. All three were excellent, and quite fresh. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and refilled our tea and water whenever needed. The restaurant was super clean, including the washroom (my litmus test of every restaurant I try for the first time). No downsides at all and we will gladly dine here again next time we are in Maple Ridge.

Came in with 2 foodie reviewers from Las Vegas and we didn't even get to eat half the food because the taste was off but worst part was the presentation!! I looked around and noticed David the head sushi chef and face of the restaurant is gone. My favourite servers she's gone and MJ is my husbands fave and well he got let go as well. I've had a talk with few others at my business and next door and they mentioned that new owner and his mother bought the restaurant quick and cheap. New rude mid 20's young owner & his mother running this establishment as of July 1. Old owner sold due to health we were told from him in June. Sushi Chef/Mgr Dave & original workers ( EVEN funny MJ) are gone. Portions reduced, prices significantly increased and the attitude of the owners is unacceptable. Don't waste your time. Not the same as it was for the last 8 years I've been here. Very sad that some new young know it all, old took over, is rude to staff and customers that the staff have to quit! Just cause you have all the money in the world, if your attitude and personality doesn't blend or there's no sincerity and gratefulness for your customers then it won't work. You're in the wrong field.

Menu looks great! Ordered Asahi beer and the server brought me saki. The language barriers are probably the issue but it was resolved just fine. Ordered two pieces Unagi, Spivey tuna cone hand roll and soft shell crab roll. Presentation was really good on all the food. The rice under the Unagi was not packed tight enough and the pieces fell apart when attempting to pick up. Flavor of the eel was excellent. Overall a good dish but could have been great. Spicy Tuna hand roll was stunning! Loaded with copious amounts of tuna and complimented by nice crunchy cucumber sticks. The Spider role did not disappoint. Flavor was spot on. The egg roe on top was a nice touch. Crab was deep fried fresh. I was pleased to wait the time required to cook it and the server warned of high temperature so not to burn mouth. Only critique of the restaurant was the unnecessary music from local radio station that went from soft rock to disco to rap. This should be discontinued immediately in my opinion.
