I believe our baristas name was Kate, super friendly and helpful. We actually had a smaller assistant help us who did a great job! I wasn't hungry but they had Gluten Free options which makes me so happy! The space is really cute and clean with lots of seating. I would gladly come to this spot to study/work. We ordered the Teddy Graham Latte and after 20% tip it came to about $7, coming from Seattle this is very cheap especially for an oat milk drink and at such an aesthetic place! The coffee was delicious! I would order again! 5/5 The freaking pink lids have me going insane, they are so cute!!!

I was in town for the day and decided to stop by this cute café that has great art and merch and delicious drinks and pastries. I got a 16oz iced chai latte and one of their lemon donuts. They looked too good to pass up. My chai latte was delicious and refreshing and was great on the rainy day that I stopped by. The lemon donut was light, airy, and the icing on top wasn't too sweet and paired well with my chai latte. They have plenty of drinks on their menu and it's a great place to do work or study. Staff are friendly here and the service is great and quick. Prices here are very affordable and way cheaper than most coffee shops. When I'm back in the area, I am for sure going to stop by Maple Bar!

What a CUTE cafe!! I'm a sucker for anything maple, so the name caught my eye. But then... I saw the maple latte on the menu. I got a 16oz iced with no whip (although the maple whip sounded amazing). It's a perfect balance of sweet maple and strong espresso. Delicious. The decor inside is so cute and hip. They also had a nice selection of donuts and pastries. Yum yum yum!

Just discovered the coolest little spot during my work travels this week! The vibe is totally hip and different from your typical café scene. Their baked goods selection? Chef's kiss ‍ So many unique options to choose from! I went with a ham and cheese croissant for just $5.00 that was absolutely fresh and delicious. But let's talk about the COFFEE... OMG! It's incredibly strong, packed with flavor, and just plain GOOD GOOD coffee. You know it's legit when I made the trip back THREE more times during my week-long stay! If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth adding to your morning routine. Your taste buds will thank you!

How I heard of this place: In search of a donut shop a few months ago, we took to Yelp and the internet to find a suitable spot to treat our Italian exchange student while visiting Bellingham. Maple Bar showed up, and boy, are we happy we decided to try it. Type of cuisine: Donuts, a small selection of pastries and espresso beverages. Ambiance: Cute, spacious, open, thoughtfully modern yet with a 1950s vibe that makes you feel giggly and light. The space is clean, colorful - in a muted, chill way - and perfect for a family treat, a study session with a few classmates, an office away from home/office, and more. The mix of living room (leather, padded chairs, cushioned benches and round coffee tables) and patio seating (cute, matching tables/benches) offer a level of casual comfort. And somehow the elegance of the thoughtfully curated space is definitely not lost. The highlight of the room is a wonderful mural; whimsical, free, and utterly Bellingham. The friendly young barista added the perfect sweetness to the experience, as did the owner, who joined us while we placed our order. What a great "little project" he opened up to all of us and the whole north end. What I ordered: We have stopped in for donuts to go a couple of times, but this was my first time sitting and enjoying the vibe inside. The selection is limited - chocolate, maple, chocolate with sprinkles, maple with sprinkles, and seasonal fruit options (we have tried orange, blueberry, and lemon). On this visit, we selected a lemon - the glaze more tart than sweet, blueberry, and maple with sprinkles. For the kids, maple steamed milks with maple whipped cream. And, being my first time sitting in the cafe to enjoy my treat, I went with the house special, and highly recommended Maple Latte - with the works. What I loved: The donuts are small(ish), but the perfect size and portion to satisfy your sweetooth, while enjoying every morsel. The maple latte was warm and comforting, smooth and light; a combination that worked well with the sweetness of the donuts. Why I loved it: Friendliness, whimsy and the bonus of tasty treats! Cost: Average

Cute cafe located in Bellingham! While waiting for our table to be ready down the street the BF wanted a pick me up and we decided to drive here because the name "Maple Bar" cafe peaked our interest. The baristas were friendly and being it was our first time they recommend their signature maple bar latte as well the seasonal strawberry matcha latte. I wanted to also try their maple bar (because how could you not) I went for an ice strawberry matcha latte and my BF got his usual Ice Carmel Latte. The maple bar was perfect! Pillowy, not too sweet, and a good size. I also really enjoyed my drink. My BF regretted not trying their signature drink as his was just ok. Give this cafe a try if you're in the area!

I really enjoyed a maple latte here on a chilly weekend morning. The interior is straight out of a pinterest search term if you were to look up some combo of colorful/clean/cute/practical aesthetic. There is a mix of casual seating and more structured tables/benches. A 12oz maple latte came out to around $5, which seems to be the going rate for coffee in this area. The drink came with the option to put some maple whipped cream on top (yum!). It seems like this is their signature, although they had a handful of seasonal specialties as well. There was a decent selection of donuts and pastries also, along with cute merch. Pro tip, it looks like if you bring in your own mug you get a discount! Overall, as other Yelpers have mentioned, this local coffee place is a welcome addition to the Cordata area. I look forward to returning and trying other drinks.

What a great ambiance, relaxing as soon as you walk in. I was greeted with a smile first thing when I walked in. All of my questions were answered by very knowledgeable staff. The ham and cheese croissant was very yummy. And my signature maple bar coffee with a Cubano shot was amazing. I wish I lived closer.

Drip Coffee and a maple doughnut

This place is so cute and has such a fun atmosphere! The coffee and donuts are good. I was expecting the donuts to be a little bigger but I guess portion control is good when it comes to donuts The service was great, the staff was so nice and friendly.

The Maple Bar is exactly what the cordata neighborhood needed. A cute, fun, coffee shop perfect for catching up with a friend, working, or doing school homework. They serve espresso drinks, lotus energy drinks, and donuts. Staff was very kind and gave a suggestion to try the honey lavender latte. I ended up trying it and loved it! Everything was reasonably priced. I'm not sure if they have a special everyday, but on the Tuesday I went they had a special of a 12 oz drip + 1 donut for $2.22. I look forward to future trips to this place!

Oh man was it amazing, got the cardamom coffee to go with a piece of Helva for my little and the Chocolate baklava for me and hubs to split! The server was so nice and made sure to inform me the right way to just sip the coffee as it's not like regular drinking coffee- he asked I preferred sweet coffee and I said yes so he added a little sugar and it was just beautiful! My little demolished the Helva and hubs and I enjoyed our chocolate baklava at the end of a very fun but busy day! The shop it's self is small but beautiful as were the other customers enjoying their coffee made room for my little at the counter to look at all the treats in the case! Can't wait to head back and try some of the other yummy treats they have to offer!

How I heard of this place: On a visit to Bellingham a couple of years ago, my sister and mother…read moretold us about this new Turkish cafe downtown with sweet reminiscences of our visits to Turkey. We simply had to give it a try. And continue coming back. Type of cuisine: Turkish fare - from simit and borek, to cardamom or pistachio infused Turkish coffee, apricot and apple teas, baklava and lokum. We have always loved the foods, mostly imported directly from Turkey. Ambiance: Sweet and cozy, the space is full of beautiful Turkish art/craft - from lighting to seating, from merchandise to the tasty treats served, we love our bay window benches and small, tiled tables that barely hold everything we order. The brother-owners are always wreathed in smiles and humble, grateful service. The music is soft, but always a surprise - sometimes Turkish, sometimes rock, sometimes jazzy, always fun and unobtrusive. We also love the huge barrel "tables" used as outdoor seating under a covered "patio". What I ordered: I was sad to hear that they no longer make/serve their refreshing and lovely apricot tea, so I chose a sweet cardamom coffee. My sister each chose a turkish coffee and pistachio coffee. A hot chocolate for my husband and two apple teas for the children. We ordered one of each selection of baklava available - pistachio, walnut, chocolate pistachio, halva and another walnut treat. Not to mention peach and blackberry lokum. We also ordered a potato & cheese sandwich; they ran out of the bread so substituted potato borek topped with cheese for our savory snack. What I loved: Always the service; quiet, humble, spot on. The coffee is truly magnificent and fully takes you back to Turkey. The baklava is sweet and soaked in honey, just like the cafes in Istanbul, and the beautiful lighting mesmerizes each of us every time. Why I loved it: It's always a little escape entering the doors of Ashuri, and like a mini vacation in a home away from home. Cost: Average
