I haven' t been to Manzanita Grill in several years . They have moved to a newer location next to Van Henion Brewing Company. Manzanita has a pretty good menu for sandwiches and burgers. I had a couple of Sliders. One was Pulled Pork BBQ Slider, and the other was the West Coast Ruben Slider. Both Sliders were packed with their respectable meats. Lots of BBQ sauce on the Pulled Pork. Nice, soft and chewy Pork. I'm more of a Corn Beef guy for Ruben's but the Pastrami , Sauerkraut, And Swiss cheese were outstanding . I'll just have to get a couple of Ruben Sliders next time I pay a visit to the "Grill" which will be in the near future. read more

None of this makes any sense. There are two great food trucks tucked away in an industrial park off Empire home to Van Henion Brewery. Neither food trucks are visible from the street. Manzanita Grill's road flag is the only indication that there's delicious food around the corner. And trust me when I say the food at Manzanita is delicious because it was. Anchored by the Van Henion bar/tap room, Manzanita Grill offers Mexican fusion at reasonable prices. I got a breakfast burrito and my wife got a specialty burrito. We shared a stuff popper appetizer which was a meal on its own. The poppers come with a dipping sauce that was rich and flavorful. The lady helping us was very patient while we were deciding and brought the food to our table. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

Note: Food truck has relocated to new location at Van Henion Brewing in Bend. Tried out this food truck when it was located at the Humm Kombucuha tasting room. Humm is in the process of relocating to downtown Bend and Manzanita Grill has since moved to a new location at Van Henion Brewing. The food truck was parked right outside the tasting room and you could buy food here to eat inside. I decided to order the Spicy Texas Fried Chicken Sando which came with a side of fries and garlic aioli. You get a beeper which will let you know when your food is ready. The sandwich was very large and similar to a Nashville chicken sandwich. It made for a satisfying hearty meal that was washed down by the probiotic-laden kombucha at Humm. I think this is one of the best food trucks in Bend and is worth a try. read more

This food truck is at Ballers and Brews. Have wanted try this place for a while since it has received great reviews in the past. My wife had the burrito bowl which she really liked. Said the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I had the brisket sandwich and fries. While the brisket was tender, it didn't have a lot of flavor and the bun couldn't hold up to it. It pretty much disintegrated soon after I received the meal. The fries were seasoned well but are still precut frozen. The service provided was very friendly and timely. Not sure if this is a second truck or if it moved from Van Henion to Ballers and Brews. The menu appears different from what I noticed in previous photos on Yelp. You can eat indoors at the "tap house." I won't be in a hurry to come back especially given the lousy parking situation. read more

Wow just wow. If I could give this place one word it would be "the most prominent, mind boggling, jaw dropping, tongue tickling breaded piece of luxury in existence." Fried chicken with bread as its vessel, and that sauce as its harbinger. It's the opposite of a headache. While that wait was long, that enjoyment was longer. What I could say about the ambiance is ethereal, out of this world. A hole in a wall some could say. It's like we just landed on the moon. And we have a 45 minute walk to luxury. Hot dang! This food was AMAZING! They definitely know how to make some fried chicken! So grateful I did a search for best places to eat for lunch in Bend because I would have never found this place otherwise. We had the Spicy Texas fried chicken sando, bbq pulled pork slider, Nashville chicken slider, fries, and Cole slaw. The Cole slaw has a spice added to the top that just takes the slaw to a whole new level: delicious. The fries are also spiced, but not battered fried. The Spicy Texas chicken sando takes a large mouth to take bites. The price is perfect for what you get in terms of serving size and the choice of side. The location is a food truck right next to a kombucha place where you can buy kombucha from tap or in a can. I'll tell you what, it will be REALLY hard to pass on going to the place and going somewhere else instead because it is really great food. read more

I was delightfully surprised when they accommodated my request to add shredded cabbage as food trucks have limited storage for "extras" ... Came here based on the reviews and they didn't disappoint. The portions were large and tasty. We tried a little of everything. The torta and Cuban sandwiches were packed with meat and flavor. The tacos were huge and come with two tortillas which was great as we split them in half so my husband and his could try the few we ordered. Reasonable prices for what you get. 2 sandwiches and 3 tacos was just over $40 and we got 3 filling meals out of it. The cucumber pico and the chipotle aioli were addicting. If you can brave the gauntlet of 2nd street (better at time of writing this 3/23/22 than it's been lately, but still can be rough) you'll be rewarded with this lil' hole in the wall. It's in the Humm kombucha taproom parking lot m, to be specific. The tacos were huge and delicious, with one of the biggest roasted jalapeños I've ever seen on the plate. They had an interesting green pico de gallo, fantastic. Also of note was the Philly cheesesteak, damn good and appropriately messy, like all good cheesesteaks.
