    Southwest salad with chicken

Fast, fresh, friendly, and not over priced!! Truck was at Wild Ride in Prineville. Lunchtime on a Tuesday wasn't too busy.

A group of us were meeting at Wild Ride for food and drinks. I chose here because my friends nachos looked yummy. He got a large nacho, and let me tell you, it's large! I chose to get the burrito bowl with carnitas. They were quick to take my order and made it up for me right there quickly instead of getting a beeper. It was a very colorful bowl with fresh ingredients. I really loved the pickled onions on it, I'm going to start doing that now. The only thing I would say is that they could use a little more sauce on it including the lime crema. Also, it's a little over priced when a lot of the bowl is rice and beans. But it was really good.

I've hit up the smaller truck at a festival in Bend and the full-size one at Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond. - Yakisoba noodles: Just OK, a little bland. I compare them to Island Noodles, which are far better. - Chicken tacos: also OK, also a little bland. Dumping Sriracha on helped but they need pico. Or something. There are too many great tacos available for me to rate these any higher. - Vegetarian taco: excellent, or so says the resident vegetarian. - Lemonade: This was from the food cart. Frankly, it was hard to tell the difference between it and water. Weak. Overall, A-OK but there are better options.

    Cold congealed little shredder nachos

I am beyond disappointed with this food cart. We just spent $24 for a bowl of noodles and cold sad nachos. First of all the lady at the window couldn't be bothered to look up and greet us when we were standing there. She gave me a nasty look when I ordered the little shredder nachos, but maybe she was secretly just trying to indicate how nasty the nachos were going to be. They came out quickly but with cold congealed cheese and bland chicken. It was the most unappetizing nachos I've ever eaten.the attached picture is how they were delivered to me. And to add insult to injury (the injury to my palate) when you pay with a credit card, they have their pre-set tip options for a minimum of 20% Save your money, and your stomach.

    Veggie burrito bowl - AMAZING
    Jessica S.

Stopped here on our way to Bend after camping for a few days in search for some veggies. Food cart pod didn't have much in the way of veggies but I'm so glad I tried this veggie bowl! OMG it was beautiful and delicious. Whatever sauce they use is so tasty. This is all we got but I was impressed.

Excellent food. Very flavorful! We had the shredded pork nachos and the chicken yakisoba. Definitely going back! Highly recommend!

That said, do not be fooled by the spice scale. I'm not convinced there's a spice level beyond mild, no matter what you request. Now, onto the real star of the show: the service. My husband and I have turned dining here into a full-blown game. We place bets on how long it will take for our server to acknowledge us, whether we'll get a greeting or just a silent stare, if he will consider refilling or even giving us a drink, and what level of mild-to-moderate hostility we'll experience that evening. It's honestly become part of the charm. Dinner and a show. To his credit, this server is consistent. In the three years we've lived in Central Oregon, I'm fairly certain he is the only server we've ever seen there. Ever. And his attitude has been consistent. Which raises questions... but also a bit of admiration for his commitment to the bit. All jokes aside, if he hates being a server this much, it might be time for a career pivot. But until then, we'll probably keep coming back--not for the spice, not even really for the food--but to see what kind of performance we're getting that night.

I know on a Sunday at 10am, there were lots of indoor and outdoor tables available. I know this because I saw them, and then they tried to put me, a solo diner, at a table in the corner of the main "hallway" between the dining areas where two seats face a wall. There would constantly be the entire restaurant at my back, every new diner walking behind me, everyone leaving would be behind me. Every wait person walking back and forth, completely while I stared at the wall. I'm really unsure of why anyone would ever want to sit in this seat. And that's where they wanted me. With LOTS of tables available. I didn't sit there. I was "upgraded" to the same setup, only this time I got to be with my back to a family of 10, reunioning, with lots of screaming kids. That's cool. They need to eat too. But I love that I get selected to be the intimate companion in this tiny room with lots of other tables available. Like the two 2-tops in the front room. Wait staff largely ignored me after someone dumped off water, got drinks for the big table, left, came back, took their order. And that took a while because all that time they had to look at the menu meant they had to ask about six items and then consult the 3 year old for their opinion. Which seemed to take a lot of interpretation. Then the wait staff left. She did touch my shoulder (since my back was to this table, I couldn't see. Which did not make me feel good, frankly) and said she'd be back. She did eventually after taking care of the table behind. I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy on the side, eggs over hard, and a biscuit upgrade. The screaming child provided ambient noise. That was lovely, especially with the little room I was in reverberating the concert since the parents felt this was a valuable addition to the breakfast. So my food did come pretty fast, I'll say that. The eggs were underseasoned but okay. The biscuit was pretty good and the potatoes were definitely fried potatoes. I saw four slivers of onion in them but they were unseasoned fried potatoes. The chicken fries steak...well, if it didn't come from frozen, I'd be surprised. It was food. It wasn't horrible. The wait staff did refill my soda without asking, and gave me a to go cup, which was really nice. Overall, the experience wasn't great and the food wasn't good enough for me to come back. That said, I'm an out of town visitor and opted for this place on my one time to choose where to eat in Redmond. I wish it had been better.

When I wanted sushi, there were about 50 top quality sushi places I could go to within five miles of my house. They all had exceptional quality. They all offered all you can eat, with everything freshly prepared to order, for about $30. That is what is referred to as "liquidity". At Sora Sushi, you wait half an hour for a few pieces of nigiri. Everything is wildly overpriced, mediocre quality. But you pay it. Because you're in Central Oregon and that's all there is. Two stars might be a tad harsh, they didn't poison me or anything. But just like everything else here, you pay a mountain tax in quality, price, and service. There are better sushi options around, but to be fair, they are even more overpriced. The problem isn't Sora. Sora is a symptom. Save your money and just eat at home.
