We ordered Inca Colas, and the kids had passion fruit and lemonade slushie-style drinks -- both were delicious and refreshing. For food, we had the Chaufa Ponca, Lomo Saltado, Fettuccine al Pesto con Apanado de Lomo, and the Acebichado Roll. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. For dessert, we enjoyed the Suspiro Limeño, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Overall, it was about $45 per person and definitely worth it. We'll be back! read more

Grabbed a quick bite before we headed to see a movie. Very friendly bartender, and great recommendations. The menu is cool, has pictures and numbers so you can match the picture with the menu item. I liked that since I don't know a lot of Peruvian dishes. The cocktail menu is extensive and they have something for everyone. So glad I stumbled upon Manta after a day at the beach! They have indoor and outdoor seating and the day I visited, the doors to outside were pulled backed so sitting at the bar felt like being outside and I loved the feels. Carlos was our bartender and he was on it! Very friendly and helpful in explaining certain items on the menu. I absolutely loved that each food and cocktail had a picture so you can see what it actually looks like and what we did order looked just like the pictures. I literally wanted to try one of everything. I know they say they are traditional Peruvian food but the dishes seem to have Japanese infusion which I love! I'm a sucker for anything octopus and their menu had several options to choose from. The octopus was cooked and seasoned well. I loved the oil based sauce on the ceviche - they did offer to make it in the traditional lime sauce but we wanted the oil and I'm glad I tried it! Delicious & beautiful plates and drinks in a beautifully decorated restaurant. We started off with the pulpo al olivo which was phenomenal! It was my first time trying the dish and I'm in love. We then moved to the tuna causitas tostadas where they torch them in front of you then pour the ponzu sauce over them. Those were super tasty & great for sharing! We finished off with the chaufa Ponca which was amazing! I ordered the carajillo drink and I think I found my new favorite cocktail! Like an espresso martini but sweet and on the rocks. For dessert we had these little cream ice cubes with cinnamon, don't remember the name but they were really good and refreshing! Went to Manta for the first time last weekend and it was great! I 100% recommend the pisco sour. It was tarte, sweet, and smooth. The Ceviche tacos were an absolute banger. so fresh, i have not had anything like those tacos! Lomo Saltado was delicious but not worth the price tag... Have had bigger portions at other places. We found Manta by accident, just driving south on Federal Highway. Came in around 8:30pm on a Sat and sat at the bar. Service was a bit slow and the restaurant wasn't very busy, but everyone who worked there was very nice. We started with some cocktails (pineapple too sour, blue too sweet), but the food was amazing! Our first trip with friends to Manta, a Peruvian experience was one worth the trip. The restaurant is both indoor and outdoor seating. It has that industrial look softened by three beautiful fish tanks. Huge bar area send well stocked. I enjoyed the Lomo Saltado, which is a tenderloin steak served with sauteed onions, steel tomatoes, French fries and rice. Cooked as ordered, it was delicious. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and loved it as dis my friend. Located in the Beacon Lighthouse shopping center, it was long awaited and, as it turns out, worth the wait. Also open for lunch. read more

For entrees, we had the duck dish (picture provided) and the stuffed pepper. Amazing flavors. The stuffed pepper was on the spicier side and a heartier meal. Honestly the food was delicious. My rub is they charge a 3% transaction fee to use a credit card. Ironically they bring the cc charge machine to you and of course say nothing about it. Sorry. I'm an entrepreneur too and cc transaction fees are a cost of doing business. Until that issue is rectified I won't be back. I hate to take it out of the servers pocket as that isn't fair. read more
