This is the $30 Jalea.

I placed an order by phone and they told me it was going to be ready in 20. I got a text that my food was ready in ten minutes. So far so good. I get there and the hostess was clueless, she approached the bartender for my order and he tell her that "he was busy". I stood there waiting for a good 5 minutes. When bartender decided it was time for me to get my order he told me that there was no other under my name. Are you sure you are at the right place? No dumb ass, I got lost on my way and ended here. Stupid! So I showed him the text. The idiot who took my order screw my name up. Obviously they don't speak the language very well. I had asked for a lot of onions and all I got was a little container that had barely any onions in it. When I asked for more onions he said NO, it only comes with the tiny bit they had given me and if I wanted more I needed to pay for it. I just stared at him and roll my eyes and paid for the horrible "Jalea" I had order. I didn't want anything for free but at the same time the person that took my order should have told me that the onions where extra. This right here is what I paid $30 dollars for. So, needless to say I was not happy. Rude service, no Inglés por favor, and horrible food. It was my first and last time going to this place. Oh, and to put the cherry on top I will call my bank and dispute the charge. Thank you for nothing .

We had enjoyed a meal at a sister location in Pembroke Pines, so when our friends said they wanted to try this one in Coral Springs we were happy. Plenty of accessible parking near the front. We were greeted and seated immediately and given menus to look over. We had to ask for a Happy Hour menu to review. Our friends arrived and as we all looked over the menus we placed our drink orders. I ordered a Chilcano classico,( my favorite Chilcano Maracuya wasn't part of the HH), which was light and refreshing. My wife and I shared the Corvina escoviche which had nice cubes of lime marinated Corvina, plump corn kernels and sliced onion. My Entree was the Salmon and Avocado roll with the yellow pepper yum yum sauce on top. Quite delicious and filling. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service we received. Deserves a return visit when we get to this area again.

We had a wonderful dinner here with friends. We'd been to their Pembroke Pines restaurant for an elite event and liked their food. So when I was setting up a get together in northern Broward, i suggested we try this Coral Springs location. We came early to take advantage of their happy hour menu. Prices are greatly reduced. Some portions are smaller in size than their regular menu, but this offers a perfect introduction to those unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine. For HH drinks, I tried their red sangria. It was refreshing. My husband had their classic Chilcano drink. This light drink is made with pisco, ginger ale, and lime. We began by sharing their corvina ceviche. The corvina is expertly marinated in a citrus bath. The fish is melt in your mouth delicious. Large soft corn kernels, thin slivers of red onions, and a chunk of sweet potato round out the dish. Even those who don't like or don't eat "raw" fish, will be won over by this dish. After the ceviche we chose two maki (sushi) rolls. I had their avocado roll with shrimp tempura. He had the roll with salmon and a passion fruit sauce. Both were larger than expected and excellent. We felt like we'd eaten healthy. We were more than satisfied but not stuffed. We would definitely return.

LOMO SALTADO

Stopped by Embarcadero 41 on a Thursday night for dinner with the family. Service was fantastic, from getting quickly seated to our waiter's friendly, attentive service, everything was great. I got the classic lomo saltado, which didn't take very long to come out. It was delicious: the beef was flavorful and tender and the sautéed onions were tasty. Overall, a great visit for dinner!

Great food. Strong espresso. Very nice staff. Went for lunchtime special. The lunch menu is pretty steep on the prices so I asked for the regular menu. Those prices are a little steeper lol. Be ready to spend some money here ax the prices are not cheap. The ambiance is nice, not too loud nor quiet. There seems to be a steady lunch crowd and some regulars. I'd go back for a nice date night

This Peruvian Asian food restaurant is as delicious and definitely a must try for happy hour . Came here with a friend on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating . It's great to come with friends or for date night; it's a very intimate location. I tried the empanadas and they were delicious and the sushi rolls . They have good options for drinks that are part of the happy hour , but just need to try the sangria . Service was exceptional and made sure we had everything that was needed .

My wife was in the mood for octopus, and we decided to check out Embarcadero 41. We arrived and were promptly shown to a table. The service was friendly and efficient. We started with a tuna appetizer that excellent. She ordered the Octopus and I ordered one of the specialties, salmon dished that sounded excellent. Everything came and looked just at good as the photos in the menu. Excellent flavors as well. We had originally ordered some pisco sours, and while the presentation was great the flavor was not. We returned them and got wine instead. One point of disagreement during our visit if the fact that they sanitize the tables with a formula that has a strong rubbing alcohol smell. I appreciate it and like the fact that i know the tables are clean. My wife felt that the smell was a bit strong and distracted from the good smell coming from the dishes. You be the judge on how you feel about it. Great food and service; reasonable prices and a casual, relaxed atmosphere. I had a great experience and look forward to our next visit.

On most recent visit I thought something involving cleanliness had slipped. I told my waitstaff person, whose name is Johanssen, of the problem I saw- roach activity, in the restroom. Still has great specials, though.

Absolutely amazing. The food had so much thought put into it, and the presentation was beautiful. The ceviche was DELISH. The dish was so fresh, and I could have drank the broth and the bottom. For our entree we shared the special Arroz Carretillero. We loved it! My husband says we have to come back so he can get that exact thing again. It was so good, but next time I plan on trying something new since I was so impressed! The service was fine, not super attentive but not necessarily negligent. The ambiance was cute! Such a great find. I recommend!

Food was delicious. An explosion of flavor!!! The service is excellent, with a great ambiance,

I was at the West Boca location and it was terrific. I treated my boyfriend to dinner and we both loved what we ordered. The ceviche mixto was excellent and I am a ceviche snob. My boyfriend ordered a meat dish and it too was delicious. It's nice that they are part of Jet Blue Dining and the only complaint I have, is that I was supposed to get 3x miles for every dollar spent and I received 2x. I'm in touch with Jet Blue Dinibg regarding this matter though. Highly recommend for food, service and atmosphere in Boca. Great location too!

Top notch food, smiling servers, great place. Drink menu for happy hour is limited to a handful of beer and wines or sangria. Took us a few tries to get water, it comes with no ice. One stall bathroom for the whole restaurant, but it's clean. Ample parking. Delicious sushi and I love the fusion.

We visited Mancora for dinner and enjoyed several items. As an appetizer, we started with the Chorros à la Chalaca which are one of my favorites. They came fully loaded with all of the toppings! Would gladly order these again. As entrees, we ordered the classic ceviche, tacos, Seafood tacu tacu, and lomo saltado. Everything was delicious. I was very impressed by the sauce on the Tacu Tacu and will consider ordering that as my entree in the future. The tacos were my entree and I found them to be very well portioned in terms of filling and the flavors were phenomenal, especially with the accompanying sauces. Perhaps the best part of the meal was our dessert - picarones! Our waiter did warn us that they are not exactly like "traditional" Peruvian picarones, but they are so delicious nonetheless. They come out freshly made and warm with plenty of syrup. They also have delicious pisco sours and offer Inca cola! In terms of seating, the restaurant is very large, so there is always space available. The service was very attentive and food came out in a very reasonable timeframe. I look forward to returning to reorder some of our items (like the picarones) as well as to try out other items on the menu! Highly recommend to any Peruvian food lover.

Don Lucho's is probably the closest you will get to a Bronx or Spanish Harlem-style bodega sandwich…read moreshop in West Broward. It's in Coral Springs and has been open for at least two years, and I feel stupid not having gone there this long. It's inside a Grab-N-Go convenience store, and while there is some bench seating, it's a takeout-oriented business. The menu is a mix of Cuban, Peruvian, and Bodega-style breakfast and lunch sandwiches, empanadas, tamales, and ceviche (which I have not tried yet). I got two sandwiches: #1 The Chopped Cheese, which is NOT listed on the printed menu, is posted, and I suspect it is a fairly recent addition. This is not a particularly gourmet or foodie sandwich, as it was created in Harlem or the Bronx (nobody knows exactly; multiple people and bodegas claim origination). It is as blue-collar as it gets, with Latino, Yemeni, or Pakistani origins. But it has been the subject of much Youtuber, Instagrammer, and Tiktok fanfare in the last year or two. Essentially, it is ground beef (a burger) that has been chopped up on the grill using a large spatula and seasoned with an MSG-heavy Badia/Goya sazon or halal meat spice blend with melted American cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a hard roll. They're using a soft hoagie roll here, but it is excellent. In NYC, you can expect to spend $7 or less for a basic one; here, it's $10.55. It's good if you have that sort of craving. #2 The Butifarra. This is a Peruvian sandwich made with roast pork (sliced uncured ham), thinly sliced red onion, lettuce, and a lime dressing with oregano. It's really good. I also tried their in-house empanadas with ground beef and garlic shrimp. Both are good. The french fries are also really good; they are of the skin-on type, so it's definitely a better product than what most fast food places buy. Order them well done, (Buen Hecho) There are no tostones to be found here, though. They have a Cuban sandwich and a few other things that would go well with those. The place offers several different in-house dipping sauces; I got a spicy green one and a habanero one. When I took photos and video, the staff freaked out, "NO SE PUEDE GRABAR!" so I only got about 30 seconds of the chopped cheese being made. The bodega has typical convenience store stuff, but it also sells a brand of chips made in Miami called "Rap Snacks," which looks interesting.

Next we had something that was veggies, white rice and French fries in a brown gravy with beef. Also quite tasty. Then fried rice with various types of meat and seafood mixed in. I tried it and it was good, but by this time I was pretty full, so I only tasted it. I'll have the rest for lunch tomorrow. The ceviche was a lovely mixture of fish, octopus, sweet shrimp, and mussels. It was accompanied with a heavenly sauce, thinly sliced red onions, soft Peruvian corn, and soft sweet potato chunks. It was so good that I had to force myself to slow down and savor the dish because I really wanted to devour it! He then brought the octopus out. Three large pieces of tentacles grilled and served on a hot cast iron skillet. It was accompanied by slices of white potato that sizzled on the skillet creating a crispness on the edges.
