We got bid from two different companies and were startled by the quality difference in the bids. We made a leap of faith and went with what we considered higher quality, and chose Joe's. The day of our job, they had about 9 men working from early AM until 7 pm and finished the roof. Not only did they do an excellent job on the roof - detailed, seamless, beautiful - they also took extra care lifting our patio which was connected to the old roof to replace the shingles underneath. We were impressed with their professionalism and care of our property - they showed up and draped all of our plants to ensure they wouldn't be hit by debris, and afterward cleaned all of our gutter (spotless) and blew around the property so it was also very clean. Hard to remember when we've seen such a professional, local crew, led by a gent of a man named Gerardo. You can't go wrong with Joe's!

They moved items from around the house, never replacing them. My garage was left with sawdust and roofing debris everywhere. The photo was about 1/3 of the nails I found within the debris. Mind you after I pulled in. When I contacted them, they said my door had been slightly open. Nobody informed of this, no one asked me to close it. No one informed me of the possibility of nails in my garage. I wish I could give them a better rating.

Originally, I left a 5-star review because John installed two toilets for us at a reasonable price…read more He did forget to caulk them, but he immediately came back and fixed the oversight. Unfortunately, one of the toilets has never functioned properly--it constantly runs and struggles to flush. Despite John returning several times, the problem was never resolved. We later hired John for other odd jobs, including installing a garbage disposal and fixing water backup into our dishwasher. As always, he was punctual and friendly. However, the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly, which caused new problems. He also accidentally caused some minor floor barrier damage while working in that area. To his credit, he offered to repair the damage right away, but I declined because I appreciated his willingness to help. The next day, when the water backup issue continued, we called him back. To our surprise, he asked for MORE money to revisit the SAME problem he had originally been paid to fix. Even after paying again, the issue still wasn't fixed. We ultimately had to hire another company, who immediately discovered that John had not removed the knockout plug or connected the dishwasher properly--something very basic for that type of installation. Overall, while John is personable and punctual, I cannot recommend him due to repeated problems, additional charges for unresolved issues, and ultimately needing to pay another professional to correct mistakes. Seems like an overall good guy trying to make a living but he needs to take his customers into better consideration if he would like to keep them.

They were polite and informative but unfortunately were not able to come to terms with my insurance adjuster due to a lack of sufficient information requested by the insurance company. Contacted another company through Yelp and do have an agreement. Just a heads up, their quote was right on target with my insurance company where Mills Roofing was significantly higher.

The other 5 companies I got bids from were respected, highly reviewed business also -- it's not like I'm comparing Mills to unlicensed, under the table deals. And I'm just a normal residential homeowner, ~1400sqft of roof, not even like a giant industrial complex! For that reason alone Mills was immediately out of the running. True Green was the only company I called who was helpful, prompt, and gave me what I felt to be a reasonable bid. Audrey was fabulous to work with! She gave me a bid for the project, helped me choose the perfect color and style of metal to use, and coordinated everything with the installers. She was very pleasant and informative, and was always easy to get ahold of. Vince and his install team were awesome as well! They did top notch work, and were always courteous and professional. This was probably the most positive experience I've ever had with a contractor, and I'm really happy with the finished product!

It's also plain to see (in contrast to his claim) that I re-iterated to him that I had planned to be there during his scheduled time. That much is right here in the text string in writing. I must have reached out to a dozen plus roofing contractors in Northern Nevada throughout the Winter of '22/'23 to get something scheduled for this Summer. A quarter of them I never heard back from, another quarter responded but once they heard the scope of work I was looking for it was crickets, the third quarter actually came out and looked at the job but never sent me a bid and the final quarter of companies came out, looked at the job and gave me a bid. In the end I didn't go with the cheapest nor the most expensive but rather Prietos which was right in the middle pricing wise. Alejandro came out and took his time with me. He explained exactly what was the best course of action and how they do the work. I was really impressed with his demeanor and professionalism. I had a good feeling this was a guy who would go up and beyond to make sure the job got done correctly and timely. Well... they did a great job and I plan to have Alejandro and his team at Prietos do additional work in the future for us. Diego did most of the work onsite and he too did a great job! Would highly recommend Prietos Roofing to anyone looking for a solid group of local folks to work with.
