Don't judge too much from the one-star review, because I don't know if Rod can roof or not. He doesn't seem to be able to return phone calls, though. Back to Angie's List... UPDATE: After five days, someone did call back. He promised to be here in "early afternoon." We waited as long as we could, then left for an appointment at 5 p.m. It's now 10:20. No sign of a roofer, no message. UPDATE II: Rod finally did show up, and I've upgraded to four stars. He worked quickly, and when I explained that we'd recently had a big unexpected expense, he found a way to get us through the winter, at least, without spending a lot of money. We'll need a new roof in the next couple of years, and we'll definitely consider him. read more

Rod will not work for you unless you have a big job. Repairs are above him. I called to have him fix a leak in my roof and he wasn't interested. Must be nice to have so much business. read more

I needed a roof replaced on a house in Virginia City and suffice it to say I started the process of looking for a Roofer last January. I would call people that I had used before and all I would get was the old okee-doke and NO One would ever show and I am talking about 10 or more Companies. Some would send Someone out but then it was "We can get to You in 5 to 6 months. We called several roofing companies for quotes and Rod was the first to respond and come to our home. He was professional and courteous. Rod emailed us a quote within 48 hours. Out of the final three quotes we received we chose Rod because his pricing was best and he was recommended to us by two different people who he did work for. His workers were great and were professional and hard working. Our roof looks fabulous and was done in the amount of time he quoted us. Do not Hire! Absolutely horrible.. Rod has got to be one of the most inconsiderate people I know. I hired him to do my roof on a rental and the guy kept telling me my job is next, my job is next, then my job is behind three others. Then he finally notifies me he is ready then come to find out, he subbed the work out to someone else.. They made an absolute mess. And Rod had the arrogance to tell me he's not responsible for picking up there mess from tearing the old roof off!. There was a inch of sand and dirt inside the garage. All over the tenements property.. it was horrible. My tenant calls me and tells me Rod the roofer told him he had to clean it up. If this mess is inside the garage then I'm positive my entire attic is going to look the same. I don't know how this guy ever got good reviews or is even in business because his customer relationships is horrible.. a completely arrogant jerk.. Do not hire!!! read more

Although I have not yet had my roof replaced, I want people to know that this company was the ONLY company of five that I contacted for an estimate who actually responded to me (and the response was in a timely manner). Charles gave me an estimate, answered questions I had regarding the estimate, and I then received a follow-up call from Denny Rod to see if they could do anything else to help. I feel very strongly that there is no excuse for any business to not respond to a potential customer. Even if someone called and said they were too busy to do a small job such as re-roofing my home, it would be better than no response at all. A very bad experience! Rod is rude and inconsiderate! The roof work was adequate, but, all the BS that went with it made it an overall very bad experience. After calling Rod and expressing my concerns, he actually argued with me! Their carelessness caused not only inconvenience, but also created a safety hazard for me the customer. There was poor communication throughout the experience. They left my driveway and yard looking like a hurricane came through! I would highly recommend trying someone else for roofing work. read more

I can't rate his service since he doesn't work on tile roofs and that's what I have, but I am giving 4 stars because out of the 9 roofers/contractors I've called or emailed he is one of two to respond back. He even answered a question for me via email after he already told me he couldn't work on my tile roof. I don't know what the deal is with businesses not returning calls or email inquiries. It's just rude. So, thank you Rod for at least responding to me! read more
