I live in the Huffaker neighborhood and just had a fabulous experience with Mills Roofing. We were starting to worry about our roof. House was built back in 2002 and the original roof was showing signs of the wear and tear our environment causes. Dillen came by to do a quote. Super nice guy! We talked about the process and he got up on the roof and did his inspection. He shared the results with me, showed me the things that needed minor repair, and what we should expect out of this treatment. Price was just about what we expected so no surprise there. Got in the schedule really quickly. Daniel called me the morning of service, told me he'd be there within 30 minutes. Arrived as expected. He too was a really personable guy. They got started. I would give Mills a much higher rating, however I did have some issues. I was called and told the job was to possibly starting Friday or Monday, but they would reach out. They didn't, they just showed up. Crew seemed excellent and the roof was completed on budget and on time. It was following the job that it was unsatisfactory. They moved items from around the house, never replacing them. My garage was left with sawdust and roofing debris everywhere. The photo was about 1/3 of the nails I found within the debris. Mind you after I pulled in. When I contacted them, they said my door had been slightly open. Nobody informed of this, no one asked me to close it. No one informed me of the possibility of nails in my garage. I wish I could give them a better rating. read more

I recently needed to find a reputable roofing contractor while in contract to buy a house. I knew the roof needed work but wanted to know exactly what needed to be done in order to negotiate credits back prior to closing. I called a couple roofers who stated they were too busy and 3 days notice was not enough time. I reached out to Mills roofing at 5:15 p.m. on a Friday and Jeremy Mills, the owner of the company answered his phone! I explained what I was up against, he said all his inspectors were busy, but he would be happy to help me out. 2 days later he showed up to the site early, asked if I wanted to walk the roof with him, showed me everything that required repairs and what he would do if it were his house. He was very professional, made me feel like I was family, took photos and videos that he emailed me later that afternoon with a full roof inspection report and quote with itemized options. We are looking to replace our roof as we have quite a number of shingles missing and Russell came out for a site visit. He has been the most thorough one we've had come and consult. He started out with checking inside our attic space to make sure we had no obvious leaks and even after measuring and checking out our roof, he took the time to sit down and talk to us about details and answer any questions. He was true to word and followed up 2 weeks later with a phone call as we are still in the process of gathering other quotes. Initially I heard about a product called Roof Maxx and did some research on the product. While the jury is still out as the product is still "new" on the market, I felt that if it gets five more years on my roofing, I would prefer putting out 25% of the cost of a new roof as I am not sure I will be here longer than 5 years. Mills Roofing is the company in the Sparks/Reno area that sells the product. The company is newer to the area but the reviews on Mills were really great. I emailed that company over the weekend and received a call back on that Monday. Russell came out to give me an estimate after accessing my current roof. My roof is almost 20 years old with no damage or loose shingles. The only repairs were around the cut-ins to ensure no leaking from that area. Russell showed me pictures of these areas and I do have to agree that they did need some repairs. The actual work was done within days. All my encounters with the employees have been extremely positive, on-time, did what said they do showed me pictures along the way, and cleaned up wonderfully. We had a terrible winter, and as a result ended up with some minor roof leaks. I contacted Mills Roofing for an estimate and the salesman And the owner came out on a Saturday to inspect the project. After walking the project they spent another two hours or so explaining every facet of the job in great detail. I was truly impressed with this first encounter. It was a preview of how the entire project would go. I received a detailed quote within 5 days. The price was a bit more than the second quote I received, but they could start the project within a month, where the other contractor estimated a start time of 6-8 months. The crew showed up in force and were great. The entire roof was completed in 2 weeks. I can't say enough good things about the crew. Every one of them was friendly and efficient in how they all worked together. There were 2 leads on the job, and each day they both got with me and let me know what the plan was for the day, and at the end of each day they had met or exceeded the planned scope for the day. Can't say enough good things about Mills Roofing from the office staff to the project manager, and the crew that did the work.
