Sebby actually took the time and walk on my roof from front to back. He took pictures of the damage tiles and texted them to me. On 11/13/25 I received my proposal letter for cost of repairs. On 11/14/25 the roof repairs started and was completed in about 3 hours. It took seven days to repair my roof from the day I called. Just in time before the rain started. I bought a house six months ago that happened to have a terrrrrible roof that my inspector failed to realize was terrible. So when I called around to get estimates to replace it, Jerry with Burke Roofing was one of the fastest to come out and take a look. And then get back to me with an estimate and an appointment. Their bid was competitive and they were really easy to communicate with - not true of other roofers I contacted. There was a bit of a delay because the shingles I ordered had to be ordered, and they said they arrived but on the morning of start date said they hadn't arrived, so that was a little confusing but worked out ok. The weather held! Whew. The guys came and worked hard for two long days - they had to remove multiple layers of shingles the previous owner had put on so that was a process. So the new roof is beautiful! And they added lots of missing flashing and several vents- AND a Velux sun tunnel. Would I recommend this roofing company to others? Absolutely! They had by far the best estimate out of 7 other companies. Our roof turned out beautiful and they had gotten it completed in 4 days. I would of gave them a 5 star rating however, I didn't for the following reasons: No follow up call before or after the job was complete. Our gate was left opened and our dogs almost got out. I hired Burke Roofing to fix a leaky gutter in the back of my home. It turns out the front and back gutter areas needed repair. Apparently the issue wasn't with the aluminum gutter, but rather the area where the gutter attaches to the roof. If not constructed properly, which appears to be the case with most home construction in my area, water will leak behind the gutter which is essentially what happened in my situation. The crew took great care in ensuring both my front and back roof areas attached to the gutters would no longer leak, potentially bringing water damage into my home. They applied that roofing tar to the edge areas too, and were extremely thorough with completion of the job. I will definitely consider using them in the future for other home improvement needs. I contacted Burke Roofing on 9/9/24. I received a call back the next day and scheduled with Graeson to come give us a quote. He came as scheduled, got up on the roof, talked to us about the company. He seemed very knowledgeable. He then sent me a quote. We asked a few more questions, then signed the quote and returned it. We were in continuous contact with each other until 9/18/24. He was waiting to hear from our HOA before we could get on the schedule. On 9/30/24 I sent him an email stating that I had called twice and left messages but had not received a return call. He stated he was out of town and would get in touch with me when he returned. That did not happen! On 10/14/24 I sent ANOTHER email asking if we were still doing business with him. He replied stating that he was waiting for the HOA approval letter. I then told him that I had the letter and that I would send it to him that day. Update: We had an issue with the tape they used on the tubes coming unglued. Burke came and fixed it once, but it happened again. Bugs were getting in and we could see them in the skylight from the bathroom where it's installed. We called AGAIN, and we were told that this is an issue with the Vellux tubes. When they installed the tube, he raved about how he's never had a problem with them and they're great! Now, all of a sudden, he won't install them anymore because of this issue. He told us he would come out one more time to fix it, but that's all he could do. He said he would call back the next week to set up the appointment. Well, he never did. Thankfully, my 68 year old husband was able to crawl up there and tape it correctly, so hopefully we won't have any further issues. So, we have been dealing with the general contractors from hell(whom we are currently terminating), and in our contract they were going to install 2 sun tunnels. I thank God every moment they did not install them. First of all, they were going to install sun tunnels with plastic domes. We live in the Galena Forest (surrounded by pine trees) and come to find out per Bill from Burke Roofing that they are not rated for fire. When he said that, all kinds of sirens went off in our heads(my Husband and I are retired firefighters from Calif). OMG..that made so much sense. Bill is an authorized Velux dealer, and has been factory trained to install these. We dodged a huge bullet by not letting our incompetent GC attempt to put these in, wreck our roof,and do a shit$y job. We hired Burke roofing to put these in, and within 2 weeks of our first contact, his wonderful guys came out and did an amazing job.Professional, clean, and a beautiful job. The domes are made of glass, not meltable plastic. I can't recommend this company enough, they absolutely know what they are doing. After some biblical rain that we got in Reno, we needed some assistance (as did much of the rest of the city). We were lucky enough to get our call answered immediately, and Jerry came out quickly to assess the situation. We had a massive ceiling leak in our primary bedroom a week ago during the big rain in October 2021. Burke came out the next day and determined that several roof tiles were disrupted (possibly by a micro-burst of wind). Burke Roofing then came out several days later and fixed the roof in one day. We hired Burke Roofing to install 4 velux skylights at our property in Zephyr Cove (Lake Village). We first got an estimate from Bill in October 2020, but finally got it done only in June 2021. Bill and his team (that includes Larssen Construction) would deserve even more than 5 stars for the way they handled the whole project. Bill showed up at our place to review all aspects of the project (was quite tricky because we have very high vaulted ceilings and placement of scaffolding is not obvious because of stairs being in the way). Then we scheduled the dates for the work to be done. They showed up right on time that day. There were 8 people on site, and all of them were extremely polite and professional. We went through the whole installation process again together to make sure all was good, the scaffolding was put up and they went to work. It went so well that the whole process of installing the 4 skylights was completed in a single day. And what a wonderful addition this is to our townhouse. Our top floor used to be so dark during the day that we had to turn on lights in the kitchen. Not anymore. Best investment we've done. I have waited six months, since the completion of my re-roof, to write this review. I wanted to provide the most effective feedback for this company. My research of the surrounding Reno/Sparks area lead me to compare Burke Roofing against three other bids for my re-roof. Burke Roofing was not the cheapest. This was acceptable for me, as my primary concern was with quality. What made me go with this company is the Owner. I do not know if this is normal, but Mr. Burke came out to talk to me regarding the bid. He provided me samples of the roof options and fully explained the process. He took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything his roofers do to bring quality to his product and service. Upon contracting with Burke Roofing, they completed my roof within 4 days. My house is not big by any means (1,400 sq. ft) and the roof is not complex. I do not know if this is impressive. I am writing this as a point of reference for others on what to expect. They provided excellent cleanup and even took care of the permit that was required to be filed with the city. Recently, I had an inspector come to survey the house. This was unrelated but I was interested on what would be said about the roof. The inspector stated no leaks or damage (even after a couple of extreme Northern Nevada 10min downpours which produced crazy waterfalls from the roof) and even complimented the roof, on three separate occasions! He stated the roof was solid and that all the roof fixtures were properly booted and sealed. He even went as far as stating "whoever did your roof, knew how to do it right". This was the moment that I knew I had made the right choice. The roof not only looks great, but I know quality was a priority in its construction. Therefore, I highly recommend this company. I purchased a Velux solar-powered venting skylight with remote built-in-blind to replace the fixed skylight we have in our home. I learned through Yelp that Burke Roofing installs these (in fact they are a Velux distributor and the only authorized Velux installer in Nevada) and that the reviews were very good. I called Burke Roofing, spoke to Bill Burke the owner, and we scheduled a date for the installation. I was happy to know that a roofer was going to install this as it involved flashing and shingle replacement and I only trust a licensed roofer to do that. Bill showed up himself a day early to double-check that I ordered the correct sized skylight and to pre-plan the installation. On the morning of the installation Bill showed up with his crew, introduced them to me, and then outlined the installation with them. In two hours they were done which included removing the old skylight, installing the new one, and installing a new flashing kit I bought with the skylight.
