Water trapped under the installed TPO by East For Roofing. The discovery was done by another superior roofing company. East Fork Roofing F- for customer service, F- making false statements made, F-failure to resolve the problem, F-only suggested to manifest a leak by flooding the roof; there was obvious stains indicating there was a roof leak. F-for solutions that correct the poor workmanship when they installed the TPO, place caulking over old cracked caulking, failure to waterproof/using high end ice melt up the sides and they did not fully wrap the parapet walls completely. We agreed to settle, and Clay decided against. The next day obviously water stains appeared from .08" of rain. interior repairs needed and the Roof has been fixed by a stellar Roofing Company, Joe's Roofing. I do not recommend East Fork Roofing. This is literally the BEST roofing company I have ever worked with. Our old roof had suffered some damages during last year's storm and needed a full replacement. Starting from the estimating and scheduling, Liz was extremely professional and patient, answering all of our questions every step of the way. While comparing the quote from the other local companies, we noticed that EFR's quote was the most comprehensive and competitive without feeling being ripped off. Right when our project was about to kickoff, Liz had to take her maternity leave. I was at first quite concerned about the project coordination. However, the GM, Mike, stepped up and took on the project coordinator role himself. He is not only very professional, patient and also very technical. The project went very well with very little issues. Daily updates and photos are extremely helpful to us who were not on site to see the progress ourselves. Our superintendent is also very knowledgeable and skillful. He was there often to supervise the job and also came to do the work on the skylights and ridge vents to our complete satisfaction. I chose EFR to replace my 38 year old roof. Liz (project manager) and Brenda (scheduling) were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They informed me at every stage of the project by phone and e-mail (including pictures) including what to expect. Neil, the project foreman, was experienced, professional, did an excellent job on the installation, and took pride in his work. EFR has "best practices" in place to make sure customers get a quality product. After the installation and cleanup, the City inspects the roof and makes sure all the permits are complied with. Then EFR has Aaron, the quality control supervisor, inspect the roof and the work done. I highly recommend EFR. They did everything they said they would do. read more

We reached out to these people on five separate occasions. On one of those occasions, I managed to pull aside an employee, face to face (who was working on a neighbor's roof). He identified himself as a person who could provide answers for my questions and give me a quote. He said that He would be at my door within 10 minutes. He no-showed. I then called the company and was told that they would examine my property via google earth and then send me a quote. Again...nothing. Not once in a period of nearly two months, could I get anyone from this company to give me a quote, or even talk to me at length about my roof project. Even the woman answering the phone seems sullen and disinterested in dealing with their customers. I reached out to another company and they showed up at my home the next day for a quote. They entered my attic spaces and identified problems that I did not know I have. Given the extent to which East Fork ignores it's potential customers, I can only imagine that their service when you become an actual customer is no better. They gave me an online proposal as well as a written copy in the mail which was very helpful so I didn't have to print all those pages. Everything was spelled out and all my questions were answered. These guys were my #1 choice despite having a cheaper bid in hand from another company due to how great the customer service was! The bid sent from East Fork was thorough, explained the whole process and what to expect, timelines, pictures of my home and what they would do to it and the type of shingles to pick from, the 12 page estimate even included copies of their contractors license! I talk about this bid at my job (tile contractor) constantly, as it was a perfect example of how you should bid a job. They even sent a hand written letter to follow up! Recently had my roof replaced in Graeagle, Ca. Had a difficult time finding a roofer interested in my remote location. Was blessed to discover Clay Davis and his son Mikes' company. From the start a very professional outfit, from the office personnel who guided me through the process, to the 3 man crew assigned to my roof. Cannot praise that crew enough. A tough task crew. First they had to shovel 8" of snow off the existing roof, tear off the existing and replace. All while trudging around in a layer of snow on the ground. While doing all that kept the place clean. Second they always referred to me as sir, stopped and politely answered any questions. They were there everyday until job was complete. No issues! Big props to Juan Carlos, Tim, and Schoen. Because of the seasonal snow we installed ice and snow shield throughout, used 2x4 drip edge metal instead of 2x2 (no extra charge), snow slitters at all plumbing penetrations, and built cricket behind chimney chase. All this done in average temperature @ low 40's-low 50's. I have a day by day pictorial progress album provided. They did all the footwork on the permit process. Even submitted the materials warranty for me. After being in construction for 40 years I've seen and dealt with many different contractors, seen and heard it all! Our roof was just over 30 years old and we knew it would need replacing in the next 5-7 years. We had the money for a replacement but weren't sure if we should wait a few more years. East fork had been popping up all over our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. I honestly thought it was a scam when we got the incredibly low quote. I thought there had to be a catch. When I talked to a neighbor who used them and they also paid an incredibly low amount and had good experiences, we went for it. I appreciated that they did not need to constantly check in with us or ask us questions. They did their work and we went about our lives not feeling the need to be available at any moment. The updates electronically were also nice. The only 2 recommendations I have are 1) ask if people are working from home before playing music while they work, and 2) a better estimate of when work will start or if they will not be at the home for a certain amount of time. read more

Had E.F roofing replace my roof on my 1576 sq ft house late 2017. They give a sizeable discount to chance replacing the roof in the 'off season' with winter approaching. We got lucky & the weather was great during the 1st week of Dec they were here working! David at the office helped me with the shingle selection process too, saving me more money! They also ADDED the proper roof/attic vents with the new roof! Definitely good value, good work, good reliable on time workers! They were very cooperative in working with my Solar contractor who needed to install the Solar mounts before they installed any new roofing materials. There was a bungled need I had laid out & requested that I needed my plywood cut out for more clearance around my wood stove chimney pipe once they had the old roofing removed, the foreman said he would take care of it, it was never done & when I talked to their office they told me they don't even do that kind of thing, so I had to take care of it after the new roof was on which was a pain, I recommend talking to their office first about EVERYTHING. My only other issues were a good work completion Quality Control job, I had to walk my roof myself to check up on everything & found a couple missing nails on a ridge cap, & a little bit of flashing issue that wasn't cut quite right. E.F promptly remedied the issues & all is good, haven't had any problems with the roof in almost a years time. Would recommend E.F to have your roof replaced. read more

Great job on my roof! The most affordable of all the estimates I received. My roof was completed in three days. The workers were courteous and professional and did a fantastic job at cleaning up after each day. The only issues were the dumpster and the rain strips. The dumpster was delivered the Friday before they started so my garage was blocked all weekend and after the job was completed we had to call waste management ourselves to have the dumpster removed. Otherwise it would have been in my driveway 10 days for a 3 day job. And my rain strips were not replaced as was part of the estimate. No worries there because I'm putting gutters but it's the point. The strong winds we had recently peeled part of our roof back like a sardine can! More rain was due within the next couple of weeks, so we were in a hurry to get the roof repaired before it started raining/snowing again. We were so pleased with East Fork Roofing! The estimator came by within a couple of days and they had our roof fixed within a week or two of my first contact with them. They even went out of their way to make sure that the repair was completed before the next rain came, and I am so grateful. When the roofer finished the job, he showed me the pictures on his smartphone. This was a nice touch, because I really didn't want to climb up on the roof myself to take a look. The roof on my 23 year old home had to be replaced due to faulty roofing materials that had been installed when the home was built in 1997. After getting a number of bids I chose East Fork Roofing because of their fair bid and efficiency with getting their bid to me -- which as others have noted was very detailed. I chose a September date (at the cost of an additional fee) in an effort to avoid any problems that the faulty materials might cause as fall and winter weather approached. Unfortunately, my HOA insisted that I chose a more "elegant" roofing material and the date ended up being pushed to November due to a need to obtain a "blessing" from the HOA before getting a building permit. I ended up with a shingle that was substantially more expensive -- but at NO TIME did East Fork and their representatives try to upsell me. It was quite the opposite, they even provided additional documentation to my HOA in an attempt to demonstrate that the original shingle I chose met all of their criteria. When the day to install my roof approached so did our Northern Nevada wonderful wet and windy weather. East Fork was careful to only remove part of the roof as the first rain/wind event approached. They were unable to work for several days due to high winds -- but still came out to make sure that everything remained covered. Once the weather calmed down they worked steadily to make sure my roof went on in a timely manner. Each day all debris was picked up and discarded in the trailer that they parked in my driveway. East Fork kept me updated with constant reports and photos of the progress. Remember the additional fee that I had agreed to so my project could start in September? East Fork waived that fee (I ended up spending the money on a couple of upgrades -- again my choice not theirs). The roof looks fabulous and I cannot say enough nice things about the entire team, their professionalism and attention to detail. So, the roof has been completed for almost two months. I have paid my bill and been in contact with the company regarding a warranty claim I made about the original faulty materials. Again, East Fork has been more than helpful as I try to reclaim part of my loss as the original roof was supposed to be a 40 year shingle. Today they sent a quality inspector to make sure that everything they installed is working as it should. This is a company that not only takes pride in their work but is also concerned about customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs. read more

roofing delivered truck cut on edge of driveway Breaking the corner off. Did not remove their debris, I had to, they took $100 off. One of there employees drop a box off of the roof with flashing spray paint, just missing my two dogs and the paint sprayed all over. The house is an old Victorian with wood rain gutters, left gaps open and finally after a couple of months the problem was fixed, so I thought.. Rented a scissor lift to inspect and low and behold they covered one of the gaps with 6 staples and a piece of tar paper. should last maybe a couple of years read more

I just got a new roof on my property. I don't know much ( in fact anything) about roofing. But it looks great to me and few of my neighbors have also said that. Also, I didn't find any nails or plywood or other waste as others have noted. Probably bcos my roof was done after those reviews and they have already changed the cleanup protocol. I did find granules but a new roof would lead to that. It was easily blown user a blower. The staff is very helpful and communicative. Both David and jacky were pleasure to work with. My roof was damaged in the strong winds we had. Most companies didn't even take my call. East fork was very reasonably priced. In act waaaay lower than Home Depot a mega corporation. The thing I liked the most about them was that I went unannounced to see their office (after 5 pm) and Mike (owner) was there working. He spent an hour with me explaining everything about the roof shingles and how he got into the business etc. he also worked with me on the dates and provided fair opinion with respect to not going with pricier shingles as I didn't need them. I appreciated that. He also worked with me on putting a different drip edge and a grace ice and water shield on part of the roof. Overall he was very patient and I was glad to give them the business. I'll try to keep this as short as I think is fair. We choose East Fork Roofing because they were the only roofing company that we could find decent reviews on, but our experience doesn't seem to reflect the experience of others. The good: Our roof looks great, it looks like they did a good job on this. The bad: Their cleanup was shoddy, they left nails all over my yard, and they left multiple patches of tar on my driveway and sidewalk. They provided a very nice and impressive proposal and estimate, but they didn't follow through on some of the impressive proposals, such as putting up signs for the neighbors. I get it, I don't think it's necessary to put up signs everywhere; but don't put these promises in a proposal if you're not going to follow through. I also question their quality assurance measures. I have pictures of the tar stains available, if needed. I used to be a carpenter, so I get it. I tried not to be hard on them about the cleanup and the tar, and I think I was pretty patient about it. I didn't complain about the nails, those are easy enough just to pick up myself. But they completely blew me off about the tar cleanup. We wrote them a check for ~$9,400 and that cleared in 2 days. It took me 6 weeks just to get them to look at the tar mess they left behind.......and they still never fixed that. I had to call them 4 times, and was promised on each occasion that they would fix it. Finally, they said they would send someone out on a Monday. Monday came around, and it didn't look like anything was done. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday all passed, and nothing. I gave them until the next Monday (a week later) and finally called them, as I had not received a phone call or update. They said they did send someone out, but nothing could be done so they dropped it. It would have been nice to know at that time, but nobody said anything until after a week went by, leaving me to my frustration and guess-work. I should say, Jacky was very nice and patient with me. She was very understanding and courteous. After about 2 months of this, I finally had enough and asked for a check. I asked simply for $50, just as a way for them to acknowledge the nonsense they put me through. They said this was completely reasonable, and in fact would write me a $100 check. Before this, I recommended East Fork Roofing to one of my coworkers, as they needed roof work done and the proposal I received was impressive. My coworker will have to speak for their own experiences, but they are having problems too. I regret recommending this company. Again, my roof looks good. But with this experience, I do have a lingering suspicion about all the quality assurance measures they promised in their contract. **Update** I received their check in the mail today, 10/20/2017. To their credit, the check was written and dated about the appropriate time, so it may just have needed extra time for processing and mailing. So, this was a good follow-through on their part, and I am thankful that they followed through with this. read more
