I'm unsure what Scott Roofing's business model is because I've experienced two different companies when doing business or attempting to do business with them. First experience in Spring 2025 was great, they responded and came to my house to give me a quote on roof vent replacement, tile replacement, and gutter repair. They performed the work, were on time, and had clear communication. Come Fall 2025, I called for a tile replacement because another blew off the roof. Called and spoke with lady at reception on Monday. Thursday I called back because I hadn't heard from them. Front desk lady tells me it could be 10 days. At 10 days, no one called back so I call again. She tells me "so and so" has your job and will call you. I ask when and she tells me they are in a another building and she doesn't know. The following week it rains and I have water leaking in the house. I inspect the attic and find it is coming through a vent. I go on the roof and find a flush mount vent has a gash in it, from the falling tile I called to have replaced. I muster a temporary repair and call Scott the next day and tell them I have a leak I need looked at, indicating more work. The lady assures me they will call. As of this review, Dec 2025, they never returned my phone call. My feeling is my job was too small for them to come fix. However, if they actually came to the site and went on the roof, they would have found the punctured vent, giving them additional work. Instead, I get a water leak into the house, time on the roof in the dark with the wind and rain, and possible water damage. Unappreciative of their service model and deprioritizing customers who are too small by their standards. My feeling is if I called for a roof replacement, they would have been at my door. I needed their help and service and they simply blew me off. I do not recommend calling them or using their services. read more

I called Rob to schedule an inspection, perfect timing since he was near my neighborhood. He came within 20 minutes, performed the inspection, told me he'd email me a quote. I was satisfied with his professionalism. The appointment was booked, took 2 days to complete. I now have a beautiful new roof. I highly recommend Scott's Roofing! read more

Contacted Scott Roofing last December about a leak in 2 skylights. Then contacted them again in March to make sure that when the snow melted they could come by to assess the problem. In June I talked to them again and they said they could come by early July. When I again called and emailed I got no return call or email. Called several times with promises my contact would call me. Never happened. Would have been nice to have known they were not going to do the job in December so I could find someone else. read more

Scott Roofing replaced all the roofs in our HOA townhome association about 5 years ago. I had a significant amount of standing water on the flat roof portion. I was told by the HOA to always go to Scott Roofing for any roof issues. I called for Justin, our assigned rep, in December, again in January and again in February. Never received a call back and no explanation as to why he wouldn't call back. It is IMHO unconscionable that the company who replaced the roofs wouldn't call back. What does that tell you about this company if they won't stand by their work. Scott Roofing used to have a good reputation, from what I've been told. Apparently no longer. Beware. read more

I'm surprised to read some of the recent reviews saying Scott Roofing is unresponsive because our experience has always been the opposite. We worked with Justin to replace our roof in Spanish Springs about a decade ago and his crew was awesome. They were very professional, efficient, and left our yard clean, which was a nice surprise after dealing with other contractors. It took them just 2 days to replace the roof on a 3,000+ sf house/garage. Since then we've hired Scott Roofing twice to replace cracked tiles on our new house and they've been very responsive. We live in a forested area with loads of snow, so we expect to get "on the list" each Spring but they have always returned our calls. We're thinking about getting a new metal roof to deal with the snow better and we'LL be calling Scott Roofing first. read more

Same as other reviews; Scott roofing used to be my go to roofer ... they installed my roof 20 years ago and I've been using them ever since (even recommending them); but over the last year they have become completely unresponsive - never call back, never show. I have worked with many roofers and contractors, and I can safely say that my experience with Scott Roofing on a recent roof repair was exceptional every step of the way. The estimate and repairs were done very promptly, for a very fair price, and with a perfect outcome. The new shingles were hand painted by Scott Roofing so that I would have a perfect match, which they did for no additional price. They let me know upfront that I had options that affected the price but also expedited the process. For me that was priceless. I have been calling Scott Roofing since last winter and no response. I need to get the roof fixed and do you think their worthless estimator would have the decease to call and set an appointment. My sister highly recommend them, because they came right out and gave her estimate and repaired her roof almost the next day. I would not recommend them and I see from other reviews the estimator will not call anyone back. They need to fire his ass and get somebody that will do their job. Despite what it says, they do not provide a quote or an estimate in 1 day, more like 3.5 weeks. Recent storm damage has left us with a leaky roof. The woman who answered their phone told me it would be at least three and a half weeks before they could even provide an estimate. After reading these reviews after the fact, which was my first mistake, sounds like this is a very common thing with these folks. Moving on and so should you. My reply to the comment below: You did not speak to me, I spoke to the woman who answered the business phone and no one else. I did not ask for special treatment and the explanation you have provided here was not conveyed to me. I reached out to them to get a quote on my roof for both repair or to have it redone. I was told it would be a week or so before they could give me an estimate due to the recent rain storm. Understandable. About a week later, I did receive a phone call that someone was in the area and would take a look. Later that day I received an email with the quote information. It was only for having it redone, nothing about an option to repair only. While everyone I came into contact with was pleasant, ultimately I chose to go with a different vendor with a lower quote and equally good reviews. read more

We had a roof leak after a windy rain storm. Scott Roofing repaired our roof but took a very long time (months) to fit us into their schedule. They eventually repaired the roof but after another rainy, windy storm the roof leaked in the same (or close-by) area. We called them to do another repair but they asked us to call back after all the snow melted from the roof. I did, and they said again that they were too busy and they would call us back. They never called back. I called a SECOND time and she apologized saying that somebody would call us back ASAP, which they never did. In the meantime, we've decided to replace the roof underlayment but we certainly WILL NOT be calling Scott Roofing to do the job! read more

We can't say enough about the excellent experience with Scott's Roofing. Justin came out immediately to do our estimate while other roofers were putting us off or not showing up at all, He did the estimate, explained everything to us and a date was set to get our roof replaced. His crew showed up on time each day and put in a full day of work and had our new roof completed in two days. The clean-up was amazing. We had heard horror stories from other people who had been picking up roofing nails and waste months after having their roofs replaced. We couldn't be any happier with our new roof. Buyer beware. Great salesperson. We got a 50 yr warranty roof 11 years ago. During the recent heavy rains, we noticed a bedroom roof was a mess from the rain. After contacting Scott Roofing, we were shocked when they stated the warranty was only for the shingles. What? Then I was even told we were fortunate that we had not had a problem until now. What did that mean? Expect the workmanship to not hold up? Labor was only 3 years. Make sure you read every line of the contract and do NOT believe it if a salesperson states it is all covered BECAUSE ITS NOT! And the workers also backed into my Jeep when they were working there. Luckily I was home at the time as it caused a lot of damage. They took care of it but I still felt like it was very fortunate I happened to be there and went outside immediately to speak to the workers. read more

We needed to have a skylight replaced and Scott Roofing came out and gave us a bid and sent a contract. They showed up on the specified date, on time, even calling us first. The original roof was approximately 25 years old and would need replacing eventually. After the winter of 2017 Scott Roofing made repairs to the north side of that roof. Justin Jove, General Manager, prepared a project proposal with several options for the re-roofing. My wife and I visited their showroom and selected the replacement shingles / color etc. Their proposal was inclusive of all the work and materials required to re-roof our house. Rob Marsh, foreman, along with 5 crew members, performed the re-roofing job without any problems. They worked diligently for four days always arriving on time. The quality of workmanship was excellent and the crew was well equipped for the job. They worked well together and obviously Rob Marsh is a great crew manager and professional with respect to his work. I called Scott roofing to get a quote for the installation of drip edge at my home. Justin contacted me within a week and promptly sent me a quote. He scheduled the work within a weeks time of first contact. He mentioned to me that would send a couple of roofers for the job. The day of the job came and he called me to tell me he was sending the entire crew of seven so they could get the work done that day as a storm was coming in that evening. The crew showed up at 8 am. they were very professional and polite. They removed about 450 sq ft of tile roofing so as to place a drip edge and new tar paper. They even fixed a corner of the roof that was damaged by the previous owner. This crew was completing finished with this job at 5 pm that evening. The was above my expectation. We just had our much needed, roof replaced by these guys. It was a big job too, numerous boards replaced, new vents put in and they even painted all of the exhaust pipes brown, to match the shingles. He came to our home several times, and even brought out samples so we could pick the right color. We were amazed at how quickly SR was able to fit us into their demanding schedule. My husband and I called a handful of roofers to only hear back and hear back quickly from Justin at Scott Roofing. He was able to get us a quote right away. They were unable to get to our roof for about a month, as to be expected with the market right now. Our house had its original roof from 1939 and needed to be completely redone with plywood and the whole bit. When they came out we couldn't believe how quickly they got the job done and it was like no one was even there! They were super considerate about picking up after themselves and even when there were some nicks in the paint on our house, Justin sent a couple guys out and touched up any marks that were made. I only have them a 4 star because I will update then it rains again to make sure the roof is fixed. This past Dec we had a bad wind and rain storm that caused our sky lights to leak like a sieve. I called many roofing companies and no one called me back. I called the builder and was told who actually did the roof when the house was built. They called me back and told me they could come out in March. Finally a friend of mine told me to call Scott Roofing. I did and was told it would be many weeks before they could come out BUT if I could go with their policy of approving a Do & Bill they would add me to the list. A Do & Bill is paying for a trip charge and the time and material. Sounded ok to me and certainly was better than March. They put me on a waiting list. We were traveling so i dropped a key off at the office. They said they would call when they were coming out. It took about 3 weeks but they came out and fixed the roof. I received a recommendation from a friend for Scott's roofing, as we were having an issue with a leak in our carport with our metal roof. This was my experience with them: August 28th: Call for an appointment. A very pleasant lady answers the phone and takes my information. States they are about 2 weeks out and someone will call me soon to set up an appointment. Sept 8th: Haven't heard from anyone so call again and inquire. The person who answers the phone tells me that they are actually three weeks out and I should hear soon. She doesn't ask for any of my information to relay my position in the queue. Sept 26th: 4 weeks later and I haven't heard from anyone, so I'm giving up and calling another company. I understand everyone is busy, but I'm busy too (plus have a roof I need addressed before winter) and it's just common courtesy to your customers to call and provide an update if things are getting delayed significantly. read more

He was very professional, clearly knowledgeable and gave us a prompt and reasonable bid (1/3 of the bid the rip off artist roof inspector gave us). I would never hire this company again to install a roof. From start to finish they were in a race to finish, sent totally unexperienced workers and had no supervision. I have tried to get them back to fix what they did, but I can't get a call or email returned. I had thousands of dollars of damage from several leaks in the roof they put on in 2017. I was told they would pay for the repairs, but they have ignored me. I was told they had a fix, but they won't return calls or email. I am not going to let them blow me off.
