I had Scott Roofing come out last month and fix a problem with my roof tiles that was resulting in water leaking into my garage. Waiting for another big storm to come through before I really know if the problem was solved, but so far, so good. I would have appreciated getting a heads-up after I signed the estimate as to how long it would be until work started, but I knew going into it that I'd be waiting because of the holidays. read more

I would never hire this company again to install a roof. From start to finish they were in a race to finish, sent totally unexperienced workers and had no supervision. I have tried to get them back to fix what they did, but I can't get a call or email returned. I had thousands of dollars of damage from several leaks in the roof they put on in 2017. I was told they would pay for the repairs, but they have ignored me. I was told they had a fix, but they won't return calls or email. I am not going to let them blow me off. I can't imagine running a company like that. read more

The company replaced our commercial roof, and didn't tarp it prior to a rainstorm. We let them work diligently on clean up and asked for a discount (business disruption) when we got the final bill. We were screamed at and threatened with a lien on the phone. We decided we weren't going to die on that hill and by the time we'd gotten the check written and dropped it in the mail (about a week), the notice of lien on the property arrived. The speed with which THAT occurred makes me think this is commonplace for them. read more

Very impressed with Scott Roofing. Justin was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. I got three estimates and Scott Roofing was way more fair than the other three. I was blown away with the prices of the other three. The work done by Scott Roofing and their workers was professional, quick, clean and very polite. My wife and I will be life time customers with Scott Roofing. In the hard times that the world is in right now Scott Roofing didn't try and take advantage of the situation we are all in. Thanks again for your help and hard work. read more

We had a roof repair done by Scott Roofing and it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. Once Gavin, owner of Scott Roofing, found out there was a problem he personally came out to inspect the roof. He identified the problem area and made arrangements to fix it to the best of his capabilities. He sent another crew out within days, working this unexpected job into the busy schedule. The crew redid the work originally done and used their expert skills to repair the spot where the initial leak was being experienced. This crew was professional and courteous. Gavin went out of his way to do the absolute best job he could. I was impressed with his professionalism and his business ethic. If I ever have roofing problems again, he would definitely be someone I'd consult with regarding repair or replacement of my roof. read more

Called them a month ago; they said we'll get to you, but they never did. Called again, they said we'll call you next Monday, but they didn't. I'm still waiting for their call so I can tell them "Are you kidding? I contacted someone who actually responded and fixed my leaking roof". read more

Don't bother making an appointment. They'll call and try to change it because they have "more important things to deal with." Completely unprofessional. read more

I couldn't even get a bid from them. After playing phone tag with Justin, an estimator I assume, he set up an estimate for Labor Day. After I called back to inquire if that was actually correct, he rudely told me to find another roofing company and hung up! I agree, find someone else. If this is the way they act prior to getting the job, just imagine what they will be like if problems arise on the job. Zero stars! read more

We hired Scott Roofing to repair a few tiles on a home we recently purchased. When I initially called my options for services were explained clearly. Once the estimator came out, the needs of the job were described well. An estimate arrived via email (then later postal mail) shortly thereafter. The job was scheduled and completed quickly and professionally. The initial estimate said that we needed three tiles replaced when in reality we needed a total of seven (four more were discovered during the repair). The extra four were replaced at no additional charge. What really stood out to me during this entire process was: 1) receiving a copy of the company's insurance policy with the estimate, 2) the timeliness and completeness of getting the job done, 3) the professionalism of everyone I dealt with, 4) not receiving a feeling like this was too small of a job, and 5) getting a thank you card after the job was completed. Scott Roofing did a great job putting customer service at the top of their list. I would call them for another job with confidence. read more

Very satisfied with the re-roofing job. Responded in a very timely fashion. Alberto was pleasant to deal with and was available to answer questions as they arose. read more

I called Scott Roofing for a replacement estimate on my home on May 1st. Had to call back two weeks later and was told I would be on the call back list. July 1st still no call. Called again. Was told I' be on the list. Never ever has anyone tried to contact me for an estimate. They lost my business and the next door neighbors too. We both went with someone else. Skip these losers. read more

I'm very happy with my new roof. It looks beautiful. I enjoyed doing business with this company. They were professional, worked hard, cleaned up very, very well after the job, and now I have a roof that should last at least 30 years with no problems. read more

An absolute stellar company! Their rates are reasonable, their staff on time, are totally professional, know their trade and work is quality grade. Would highly recommend them--especially for the N/W side of Reno, as they specialize in the concrete roofs that inhabit the area. read more

The company's work failed leaving water damage inside our home. Though they semi fixed the problem, management refused to make repairs to our damaged interior ($2k). They showed little concern over the event. Read the warranty... I would not recommend Scot Roofing - Never! Very poor customer service. read more

Scott Roofing is a three generation family owned business in Sparks, NV. The quotes are competitive, the crews are respectful of your property and the finished product is excellent. While we had to wait 3 months to get our roof done, it was actually done one week earlier than expected and basically in one day, with a complete tear off and reroof. We worked with Samuel and he made the whole experience work very smoothly. I highly recommend Scott Roofing, they do excellent work. read more

I hired Scott Roofing to do a repair at a business I manage. They came out and "completed" the work. Less than two weeks later when we had more rain we had same leak. I called them multiple time to have them come back and was promised a call back out but I never received a response. Each time I called the receptionist just kept promising a call back. As a result I held the invoice and didn't make a payment. I figured if they wanted to get paid they would call me back. We ended up hiring another company who completed the repair. Seven Months later I received a call from Ken who stated he was going to send my account to collections for non-payment. This was the first I had heard from them. He said he had tried to call one of the other contacts at the hotel however there is no record of that. I'm not quite sure why he would call an hourly employee rather than myself who gave the approval and is responsible for payment. My overall opinion of Scott Roofing....POOR Service, Poor Work Quality. Do yourself a a favor and stay away. read more

Take your business elsewhere - this place clearly does not want mine. Was promised a written quote weeks ago after one of their guys came out, but never received it despite calling constantly over the past month. Each time, they take down all my info and say that someone will "definitely" call me the next morning -- no one ever does. Woman answering the phone is not pleasant and acts like this happens all the time. read more

Called other roofers who either didn't return calls or don't do repairs. Scott Roofing was prompt in calling back, sent someone out and provided an estimate the next day. Extremely professional and ethical, sent letter with insurance certificate along with estimate. Got the job done within 3 days. Well run businesses owned by good people stand out here in Reno, so I HIGHLY recommend them. Will use them when my roof needs replacing as well. read more

I will never do business with this company again. In 2013 I used this company for a small roof repair and was satisfied with the work. So, this Fall when I was in market for a total roof replacement I called them for an estimate. They were the only roofing company I called and frankly I was prepared to use them regardless of the cost. My call was answered promptly by a receptionist and I was told an estimated would call me to schedule. After 1 week I called back and was told he was scheduled 2 weeks out and I should wait for his call. After waiting 2 more weeks I called back and was told he would call in the next week. He did call when I was not able to answer the phone and left a VM with a garbled name and phone number. I called the main number and was finally able to speak to Juston? or Jeff? on a Friday. He said he would come out the following Monday but wouldn't give me a time. Said he would call on Monday with a time. Well, it is now 3pm on Monday and no one from the company has called or come by. I am done with these people! Worse customer service I can ever remember. I have had better experiences with insurance companies and that should tell you everything. read more

After the crazy winter we needed repairs to our roof. Scott Roofing helped us with the repairs and did a great job. They called ahead of time to let me know they would be coming AND they actually showed up when they said they would (something most businesses don't bother with these days). Could not be more pleased with the work and the customer service. read more
