Lechon kawali

Food are really delicious good, i like more the beef kaldereta at lechon kawali, check it out, easy to find next to saint filomena church

Pancit Malabon.

Manila Sunrise is a nondescript restaurant on Main St in Carson. Inside is a clean well kept place with ready food to go. There's adobong whole pusit and dinuguan and other Philippines cuisine. I went there specifically for the palabok Malabon and was delightfully surprised at its taste. It's really delicious and with the sliced eggs and shrimp it indeed is pancit Malabon. Another order i had was the sinigang bangus which I'll try shortly. The owner's daughter Mariana was real welcoming. I would recommend they set the palabok as a featured dish alone. Overall i like the place and strongly recommend it to our readers.

The building is breaking down!

The building is old and dirty. Tables and chairs were dirty. Employees loudly gossiping and using profanity behind the counter. They're so loud that you can hear all the gossip around town! LOL. Food was alright. Not sure if building is up to code with safely and cleanliness.

I recently placed a call in order for their pancit malabon. The lady who picked up specially asked what time I was picking up as she said she wanted to make sure that my order would be ready for when I arrived. I mentioned I would be there at 10:20. I came at the time I mentioned but ended up waiting a good 20 minutes before my order was ready. As many other reviews have mentioned; the service is a bit lacking and slow. They had one person handling all the immediate orders of the customers who had just showed up and no one handling any of the pick ups. With their place being small and with social distancing; service perhaps could be a bit better with someone taking care of orders that are ready to go. We did noticed there was other staff who just seemed to be idle/relaxing. They really should have checked on the other customers and if they had an order ready; help them out versus having just one long line with one restaurant working doing everything. Customer service could definitely use an upgrade. It was a particularly hot day too when I went to get my order and noticed a lot of a new customers left. It was too hot and too long of a wait for them.

Lechon Kawali was super crunchy and tender inside. Pancit Malabon was good too, packed well for 4 ppl.

I was in the area and decided to stop by this place to try their Pancit Malabon, Lechon Kawali, and Longanisa. The place is so small, and for someone like me who's not familiar with the area, might be inconspicuous. I missed the turn because it looked like it's in an abandoned establishment, located in an old unkept lot. I ordered the PANCIT MALABON, for 4 to 6 people, ~$22. I was worried that I didn't order big enough for 4 people because the pan size shown on their display looked small. But, it was packed well over the brim, that we ended up having left-overs enough for 2 servings the next day. This dish is what they're known for. It was made to order fresh, hot, and good. I had such low expectations of the place, but I was surprised that it turned out better than I expected. I was actually pleased how delicious it turned out. The LECHON KAWALI turned out great as well. It was the crunchiest lechon I've tasted. The skin was fried impeccably to its crispiest that even my picky son delightfully complimented me for picking it up. The inside was tender, seasoned well, and super scrumptious at each bite. The LONGANISA was solely for my son. He loves the sweet savory taste of it. It was such a treat for him because he doesn't get to eat it as much as he'd like to. No one in the family is a fan of this sweet longanisa, and I only get it for him once in a blue moon. Overall, this place is totally legit. Small, not as pleasing to the eye, meant for pick-up orders. However, they serve some tasty authentic Filipino food. How I wish it's closer to me; I would frequent it.

All the cakes are prebaked and packaged, but one can come in to have it decorated with custom lettering while you wait. While we waited, we also ordered two other things that we all love from here: their shanghai style egg rolls (25 pieces for $21) and their miki bihon pancit (medium, enough to feed a family, for $21). We've tried a lot of different version from different places all over, and have come to the conclusion that we like the version at Gemmae's, the best (as long as for my wife, they skip adding patis to the pancit). They also have a turo turo steam table here. The yellow curry chicken caught my eye, so got a small container of that. We celebrated Fr Bryan's birthday there last night and they decorated the place. Our servers, Carmelita and Liz were very kind and hospitable. It has become one of our go-to dishes, especially when we're hosting parties or celebrating during the holidays. It's always a hit! They put a generous amount of meat on top, and I swear, everyone always comes back for seconds... and sometimes thirds! We had a birthday party/gathering at home with my husbands cousins and their kids and everyone loved it! Their siopao is really good too! My favorite is the asado, while my husband always goes for the bola-bola. We each have our favorite, so we usually end up getting both! I also really appreciate the location. There's a Filipino grocery store right next door, which is super convenient because I can do a little Filipino grocery shopping while they prepare my order. Talk about a win-win! And if it's a hot day, definitely try their halo-halo! It's such a refreshing way to finish your meal.

We headed to to Carson and this was my first time in person and fam member's 2nd time or so in person. We have ordered via food delivery services in the past. We were greeted in and there were several tables to choose from on a Sunday in between lunch and dinner time. We shared fried fish and garlic adobo fried rice that was cooked to order. Mom was satisfied with the meal. All was OK for me. I usually like to get Filipino breakfast but it was not available. For her beverage, she chose mango juice which is a grocery store type w/a built in straw. During my meal, I was curious to see what foods were in the "point and choose" warmer. Nothing appealed to me and it appeared the foods in the warmer may have been in there for a while. Service was kind and somewhat attentive. They offer a senior citizen discount if you pay by cash. Sorry I forgot to photograph the sign regarding that. Parking is in a small strip shared with other small businesses. Glad to have found disability parking close by. Overall 3 stars.
