Food are really delicious good, i like more the beef kaldereta at lechon kawali, check it out, easy to find next to saint filomena church

    Pancit Malabon.

Manila Sunrise is a nondescript restaurant on Main St in Carson. Inside is a clean well kept place with ready food to go. There's adobong whole pusit and dinuguan and other Philippines cuisine. I went there specifically for the palabok Malabon and was delightfully surprised at its taste. It's really delicious and with the sliced eggs and shrimp it indeed is pancit Malabon. Another order i had was the sinigang bangus which I'll try shortly. The owner's daughter Mariana was real welcoming. I would recommend they set the palabok as a featured dish alone. Overall i like the place and strongly recommend it to our readers.

    The building is breaking down!

The building is old and dirty. Tables and chairs were dirty. Employees loudly gossiping and using profanity behind the counter. They're so loud that you can hear all the gossip around town! LOL. Food was alright. Not sure if building is up to code with safely and cleanliness.

I recently placed a call in order for their pancit malabon. The lady who picked up specially asked what time I was picking up as she said she wanted to make sure that my order would be ready for when I arrived. I mentioned I would be there at 10:20. I came at the time I mentioned but ended up waiting a good 20 minutes before my order was ready. As many other reviews have mentioned; the service is a bit lacking and slow. They had one person handling all the immediate orders of the customers who had just showed up and no one handling any of the pick ups. With their place being small and with social distancing; service perhaps could be a bit better with someone taking care of orders that are ready to go. We did noticed there was other staff who just seemed to be idle/relaxing. They really should have checked on the other customers and if they had an order ready; help them out versus having just one long line with one restaurant working doing everything. Customer service could definitely use an upgrade. It was a particularly hot day too when I went to get my order and noticed a lot of a new customers left. It was too hot and too long of a wait for them.

Lechon Kawali was super crunchy and tender inside. Pancit Malabon was good too, packed well for 4 ppl.

I was in the area and decided to stop by this place to try their Pancit Malabon, Lechon Kawali, and Longanisa. The place is so small, and for someone like me who's not familiar with the area, might be inconspicuous. I missed the turn because it looked like it's in an abandoned establishment, located in an old unkept lot. I ordered the PANCIT MALABON, for 4 to 6 people, ~$22. I was worried that I didn't order big enough for 4 people because the pan size shown on their display looked small. But, it was packed well over the brim, that we ended up having left-overs enough for 2 servings the next day. This dish is what they're known for. It was made to order fresh, hot, and good. I had such low expectations of the place, but I was surprised that it turned out better than I expected. I was actually pleased how delicious it turned out. The LECHON KAWALI turned out great as well. It was the crunchiest lechon I've tasted. The skin was fried impeccably to its crispiest that even my picky son delightfully complimented me for picking it up. The inside was tender, seasoned well, and super scrumptious at each bite. The LONGANISA was solely for my son. He loves the sweet savory taste of it. It was such a treat for him because he doesn't get to eat it as much as he'd like to. No one in the family is a fan of this sweet longanisa, and I only get it for him once in a blue moon. Overall, this place is totally legit. Small, not as pleasing to the eye, meant for pick-up orders. However, they serve some tasty authentic Filipino food. How I wish it's closer to me; I would frequent it.

If you live in Carson,Ca, this place is where everyone orders pancit malabon because it's their specialty and nothing is as good as Manila Sunrise. I come here for a Filipino fast food combo. The food is always fresh and there are so many choices to pick from. You can also get a side of soup with your combo. My husband and I normally share a combo with extra rice. The portion is enough to share with another person. We would get a 3-item combo with soup. My fave items here are the beef steak, dinuguan, menudo, beef mechado, paksiw na pata, and lechon kawali. The best soup here is the beef sinigang.

The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a busy parking lot, but I was able to find a spot easily. The outside has a charming look that reminded me of a little island hut , with beautiful trees and green trim that give it a welcoming feel. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the aroma of food cooking in the kitchen. The staff welcomed me as I approached the cafeteria-style food counter. The menu hangs above, making it easy to look through the options. I asked about their veggie egg rolls, which were displayed in a separate case along with lumpia and other tempting treats. While learning about their veggie egg rolls and other dishes, I decided to order the egg rolls and was also drawn to the cantaloupe drink. On a warm day, the thin slices of cantaloupe floating in the drink looked so refreshing. The prices were very reasonable, and the egg roll itself was a great size. It also came with a dipping sauce that paired perfectly. I sat down to enjoy my lunch, and it did not disappoint. The vinegar-based sauce complemented the egg roll nicely, and the sweet cantaloupe drink balanced everything out for a great sweet-and-savory combo. Before leaving, I even bought another egg roll to take home. The staff were friendly, and I really enjoyed my lunch. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

The food was good and met expectations -- no complaints there. However, I was very disappointed with the $60 delivery fee to travel just 5 miles to the park. That charge felt excessive and left a negative impression. While the food quality was solid, the delivery cost makes me reconsider ordering again.

Great staff! My friend and I stopped into this great shop in Lomita and had a fabulous meal. I love the way they do their poke - you get to pick TWO flavors of meat! How fun! I'm a huge tocino fan so when I saw it on their menu I had to get it! I was surprised it came with two fried eggs and was a nice, big portion. We also had to try their Crispy Masubi and this was fantastic. I've had many deep fried masubi versions and this was much nicer than those. This was the best breaded type of masubi I've had. Absolutely loved it and would get it again in a second. Overall, fabulous meal at Poke & More that I would go back for.

However, they also had a buffet style "scoop and go service" on the corner that has the same food on the menu but in combination plates and much more affordable pricing ($12+) that also included rice. We did not understand the discrepancy in pricing since it's the same food and pretty much the same sizing (maybe slightly smaller mains) though they may cook the food fresh/heat it up on the sit down area. My group ordered a variety of food including lechon kawali, garlic rice, vegetables, soup, pancit, etc. and they were very tasty and hit home! well seasoned. The place was not very busy so it was quick. We decided to sit in the restaurant with our ordered food since we were the only ones there. I ordered a main that was running low and the employee told me that they had to cook it and I had to wait which was fine with me. The man ended up not giving me much of the new cooked pieces but mostly of the leftovers and added a couple of pieces of the fresh ones, which was fine but with the wait made it disappointing since I could have just gotten some of the old pieces from the beginning and started eating it. Decent place - I would recommend their "scoop and go" service area for fast service and more reasonable pricing. *I heard they have karaoke in the late afternoon, which may change the vibe and atmosphere of this place so we may need to check that out! 3.2/5
