Excellent service, food, beats and location. Blink and you'll miss the smallest indicator you're at the right joint. Mangrove hits as soon as you walk in, with a dark moody inviting atmosphere, plush plants and a very unique menu, that includes Curry Oxtail. Nothing went wrong here, a great bar libations that had me ordering one after the other and wonderful bartenders that had our group laughing the night through.

The drinks were super delicious and the music was awesome! It felt amazing to sing to Early 2000s in mid 2000s R&B with your friends. I can't wait to go back.

We were a party of four with no reservation on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes at the bar for a table to open up. The restaurant is small and every table was taken, but they still managed to accommodate us. Service was good, though a bit on the slow side. The food, however, was excellent! We ordered jerk wings, jerk skewers, fries, plantains, and curry oxtails. The jerk was perfectly spicy and did not disappoint. A live DJ played a great mix of Caribbean music, Afrobeats, and R&B. The dim lighting created an intimate atmosphere, while the music added a fun, lively vibe. It's definitely a great spot for date night or an evening out with friends. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back!

Mangrove is a cozy little Jamaican spot in Miami that's absolutely worth trying. The space is small but beautifully decorated, giving it a warm, welcoming vibe. The drinks were great, and the food didn't disappoint, everything we had was flavorful and well done. If you're looking for good Jamaican food in an intimate setting, with great customer service Mangrove is the place.

Such a vibe! My first visit to this small, intimate Jamaican restaurant in downtown Miami was for a Friday night date, and it was perfect. The dim lighting set a cozy mood, with a DJ playing solid music all night. We ordered the jerk chicken wings, festival, rice and peas, plantain, chicken patty, and mac and cheese. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The drinks were strong and soooo good, too. Service was great. They were busy but our waiter was still very attentive. Came back during my birthday month and had another amazing time! This visit, I tried the fried snapper, and it was absolutely delicious. It was spicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was just as great, with good music, tasty drinks, and friendly service. They even surprised me with a celebratory glass of prosecco, which made the night feel extra special. This place has officially become one of my favorite spots in downtown Miami. Can't wait for visit number three!

Fun vibe. On Thursday's they have a live reggae night. We got there earlier for the food and the music was a little intense for one person on my table, and I have to say the management responded very graciously to moderate the sound. Really appreciated that. Do expect some really nice music, I believe it turns into a club type thing later in the night. Personally, I gravitate here more for the food. Really love their shrimp salad. Roti is quality. Flavors and punchy and bright with the spice you'd expect from the islands. Really quality place they're working on. Wish them a lot of success. I recommend and will be back!

What a gem Mangrove is. After reading a ton of rave reviews I knew I had to come here. Stopped by on a. Wednesday night, not busy at all and we were seated right away. It's absolutely gorgeous inside I love the thoughtful artwork and the lighting creates a very intimate vibe. It's a perfect spot for a date. There's a small bar with seating as well. The menu isn't too large but I'm sure there's something for everyone. We started with a beef patty, the lobster Mac and the jerk wings. Everything was so good I'm struggling to identify which I loved the most but the Mac is top tier. I know Jamaican Mac and cheese isn't known for being the best but WOW, chef is back in the kitchen throwing down. The wings fall off the bone tender and the sauce is so good I would buy it by the bottle. For entrees we ordered the Rasta pasta with chicken and the oxtail curry with jerk fried rice. I've never had order envy but the jerk pasta my goodness. It's a flavor explosion. I'll be dreaming about it. The oxtail curry was good but unfortunately couldn't compare to the pasta. This is one of those places you absolutely have to try.

My friends and I went on a Thursday night and it was such a good vibe. The ambiance was laid back yet trendy with great service. The food is awesome. My friend had the lamb chops and enjoyed every bite. I ate all the plant based options on the menu and even requested curry chickpeas to go with my roti. When you're vegan you have to speak up and see what can be done. I met with the chef and he said he will have plant based jerk chicken on the menu for me next week! It only makes sense since they offer it at the JRK restaurant which they own as well. The vegan rasta pasta is hands down my favorite and I can't wait to try it next week when it's topped with jerk chicken. This will be my 4th consecutive Thursday at this restaurant and I'm not ashamed of it because it's giving grown and sexy with great eats. What else can you ask for? Please try the red red wine drink. It's made with sorrel and Jamaican white rum, #IYKYK

Everything was immaculate. The service, decor, moody vibes, delicious food and drinks. It was so cool and we just happened to come in randomly. FYI, they have happy hour. Does not disappoint. Our main server Wensley gave great recommendations and went the extra mile with packing out to go/leftovers. Gave us extra sauce and utensils. The other servers were so kind and just great energy. For drinks we ordered Is This Love (soo yummy, a little sweet). For food, our favorite was the yucca fries. Favorite fries I've ever had. Ordered extra order. Also on HH menu. More food- coconut rice & peas, rasta pasta, sweet chili cauliflower, and rough gal wings. I want to come back & try more food, dessert. Hear the DJ at the booth. Just a vibeyy spot.

Amazing vibes, delicious food - the perfect spot for a date night in a tropical cool lounge setting and attentive service. Ordered the red red wine, which is a delicious sorrel beverage - not too sweet and has a ginger garnish. Also ordered the hot stepper - the take on a delish spicy marg. The chicken roti is tasty and comes with the roti skin on the side. But if you want a curry dish, go for the oxtail - it s the same yellow curry but a totally different flavor than the chicken. The jerk wings make a great app, and the beef patty is super flaky. Make your reso, you won't regret coming here.

WHAT A VIBE!!! This is an excellent choice for a date night. The music, the service, the food, all elite. We tried their boom boom bowl with chicken, some yuza, and the traditional plate. The jerk chicken was fantastic with just the right amount of spice. The boom boom bowl was hearty with lots of veggies and perfectly cooked rice and chicken. I'll say it again, WHAT A VIBE!!!! This place was amazing! A must try if you're in the Miami area.

Love this spot! Great eclectic colorful ambience- my favorite. I had tried Jrk! before (which is great bang for your buck btw) and wanted to try the connected upscale lounge that is Mangrove. The lobster macaroni was just as rich as you would want it to be, and the wings were fire. Notably three of us were full and our total bill didn't even hit $90. I just wish the drinks were more special. We tried red red wine and is this love and they were very mid. Will have to try more to be fair but I wanted more effort in drinks from a cocktail bar. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu though!

My friends and I decided to have a girls night out here this past Friday. The social media reviews and the ambiance made us excited to attend. However, the service was very poor and is main the reason I would not return. I gave three stars solely based on the food, drinks and the DJ. We had a last minute addition to our party and were told we had to wait for a table to open up, which we understood. We were grateful that the male host was able to accommodate us, but the servers we had neglected our table. It took long for us to even place our orders for our meal. Once we were moved to our new table, the service got even worse. Our new server was nowhere to be found and we had to ask another employee to get him after 10 minutes of waiting. At this point we were waiting for our meals for over an hour. There were no apologies or checking on us to see if we were okay in the interim. Once we received our meals (which were delicious) we again were not asked if we needed anything else. At this point, we just wanted to pay the bill and leave because the restaurant was not that busy once we switched tables. We even observed parties who were seated after us, get their meals and leave before us. We felt neglected on purpose. Overall, I love Caribbean/Jamaican food and vibes, but I will not return or recommend to anyone due to the poor service.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.
