We stumbled upon this place by accident! The place we were going to has a full parking lot, so we left. This was really a pleasant surprise for us! We were greeted and got seated at a table right away. I ordered pad see ew with tofu to be safe and we got salad, soup, and an egg roll on the house even though we didn't order from the lunch menu. The food was amazing and came out quick! The noodles were very fresh and the sauce was perfect. Not too oily. They also use Chinese broccoli instead of American broccoli, which I prefer! I think it was the manager was the one who came to check in us a few times to make sure we were doing okay. It was such a nice gesture and she was very friendly. They do have some bigger tables, so they could accommodate a larger party. Overall, great food, service, and atmosphere! read more

This place was recommended by some friends, and it was amazing! I had not had Thai food before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had the coconut milk soup with shrimp, and it was seriously some of the best soup I have ever eaten! For an entree, I had Pad Thai with chicken, and I enjoyed it. My husband ordered green curry, and he said it was delicious as well. We will definitely be back! read more

Great food highly recommended this restaurant we have been coming here for years. Wonderful place to meet friends for lunch

The best Thai food in Cypress. We've been coming here for a long time. Just ordered food for a party this weekend. Everyone loved it. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. Wonderful people. read more

Disclaimer:  This review solely represents my experience with this business on one or more occasions.  It is not my intent to encourage nor discourage anyone from patronizing this establishment but rather, to offer my opinion of the facts that occurred during my visit(s).  I've eaten MTTB a couple of times to go but this was my first visit to the store front. We order takeout as a group and the last time, the spicy cheese rolls were so delicious, I was craving them so I decided to go to the restaurant for the first time. To date I've tried crab fried rice, tiger cry, and ginger beef. All of which were OK, 3 stars. Obviously not the best crab meat but it wasn't prevalent enough for me in the fried rice. The tiger cry & spicy ginger entree with beef were pretty good, the ginger is very strong but I wouldn't expect anything different. None of those dishes would have made me want to go there but I also ordered the cheese rolls the last time and oh emm gee, idk if I was super hungry or what but they were sooooo delicious, 4.5 stars. The visit to the actual restaurant was my first and I can guarantee you, it will also be my last. I walked in at 230 and was left alone a while, then rushed to order since they close at 3pm. I didn't know until I got there. I ordered the cheese rolls, water, and the pad thai. I never got the water. The cheese rolls were piping hot and still delicious. But womp, that was the worse pad thai I've ever tasted. The sauce tasted like it was pure white vinegar, no other ingredients ie sugar, fish sauce, etc etc. I suffered through it a little while until the lady asked if I liked it. I told her what I thought of the dish and she told me to order something else. This is when it went downhilll... The chef came out the kitchen and I heard her speak to him. I only speak English but the dirty, piercing look he gave me definitely didn't need translating. He continued looking while she came to the table again and asked what I wanted to order. I immediately asked if that was the cook, she confirmed it and I was like err naw idk now, is he going to....she cut me off and said oh no its ok, don't worry about it. Not following my instinct, I went ahead and ordered something simple, shrimp fried rice. She started back up to the counter and then he came from around the counter walking and nastily staring at me again. If his eyes had daggers, I'd be dead. After a few minutes, I went to the counter to watch him make my food and tell them to make it to go. Long story short, I paid for something that I didn't feel comfortable eating. I could not in good conscious eat this food for fear of the unknown. Normally I would have said cancel that but regrettfully, I didn't. I don't know why and I'm mad I didn't. I would have done it in a heartbeat normally. Even those cheese rolls couldn't make me venture into there again...not the way you treat a customer! You're not perfect on every dish, stop getting offended or pressed if you didn't get it right... read more

Visited with family and ordered 4 dishes: Spring rolls with brown rice, Phad Kee Mao, Basil Seafood with garlic, and Phad Won Sen. First 3 dishes were good. The 4th dish was HORRIBLE: the Phad Won Sen tasted like some kind of old cough syrup... smell reminded us of a petroleum product. Maybe some bad ingredients? We usually don't compalin about the food at restaurants, but this Phad Won Sen was not edible, so we went ahead and told the waitress. She scoffed... didn't seem to care much about us. She just said "we never had other customer complains". Dude, that's fine. We paid, we left, and we never returned back. Plenty of Thai restaurants around town. read more

We went here for dinner a month ago now and there were only 5 other smaller tables seated. There were 5 of us... and the service was abysmal at best. We ordered only meals- no appetizers and a few iced teas. 2 people in the party received their meals 47 minutes (!!!!!) after we ordered and the other 3 trickled out one at a time in about 9 minute intervals. Overall we were here over an hour before all of us had our meals. It was extremely frustrating as I LOVE THEIR FOOD. You know that uncomfortable feeling when some people have their meals and others don't? Do you eat? Do you wait? What made it worse is it was not just the kitchen having issues but the waitstaff too. We ordered teas and waters, and water was brought to everyone and not enough tea. After asking 3 times, it was finally brought out. We asked for to-go boxes as we finally had to go and had to ask twice for them as well. Once checks were left, we had to ask for them to take our cards and check us out. Not once did servers apologize for the wait for food or anything. HUGE disappointment. I've seen them handle massive rushes at lunch time. I brought 3 individuals that had never been before this particular evening to "show it off" and I am afraid that convincing them to try it again will fail due to this poor first impression. read more

A few things bugged me... 1) would not allow us to bring in our own wine, even though they don't sell wine, 2) they brought my curry out at least 10 minutes before they brought my wife's food, 3) my wife's dish was bland and horrible (orange chicken). The people are nice but we won't be back. read more

Was recently in the area for work and was so glad to find this place for lunch! I'm a huge fun of Thai food and this place is doing it up right. To start, you're brought out a salad, egg roll, AND a cup of soup. The salad was very well dressed and had good flavor. The soup's broth was also de-lish and was seasoned perfectly. For my entrée, I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with chicken. Speaking of entrée, you better eat your soup and salad quickly, because my entrée came out like two minutes after I ordered. It too had great flavor and was done very well. Did I mention that all of this was only $8?! Definitely a steal. Flavorful food, lightening fast service, and a great value... this place is awesome! read more

Having just move to Houston and living NW of BW8, I don't always have the pleasure of enjoying the diverse cuisine that Houston has to offer. I found Mango Tree as I was driving around for my lunch break. Being that it was one of the first Thai restaurants in my neighbor hood that I have seen, I figured I would try it out. The decor was simple. The restaurant looked to be at 80% capacity and it was quite loud with everyone talking. The service was good. The hostess welcomed me as I walked through the door and sat me immediately. A few seconds later a service took my drink order and handed me a menu. I was able to place my order within 10 minutes of sitting down. Within 10 minutes of ordering, my food was delivered to my table. For being a busy lunch hour, the speed of service was great. I ordered the Ka Pao Basil with sliced chicken. The spice level was 3. I liked that the lunch menu had plenty of options and 5 levels of spiciness. It was served with a portion of jasmine rice the good was delicious and well prepared. The spice level was to my liking: medium spicy. The serving size was enough for me to split into two meals, so I ate half and boxed the rest. I would definitely return for a lunch or quick meal with a friend of colleague. read more

We accidentally ordered the wrong thing - but they still fixed the order. Food is always good and their service is to match.

Great service and food! We enjoyed our dinning experience with friendly staff. Food was delicious. Look forward to trying new items next time. read more

Arrived at noon to packed restaurant. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Daily specials $8-9. Includes soup, salad, egg roll, rice and entree. Ice tea and Thai tea reasonably priced at $1.50 and $2.50. Be careful ordering spice levels. Ordered pork masaman curry at our usual medium level. Too spicy to eat. Waitress was kind enough to change meal out to lower spice at no charge. Beef salad was good at medium level, but will order less spice next time. Mango ice cream was excellent. We will be back read more

I can't rave about Mango Tree enough! Their food is always served hot and fresh. I highly recommend the spicy cheese straws and calamari. The pineapple fried rice is absolutely delicious (I add sweet chili sauce to mine )! We love to eat in the restaurant but they're quick on pick up as well. read more

Just got pepper steak very good flavor. Steak was cooked moist. Its like the third or forth time, definitely repeat customer , easy to order just call it in old school and go pick up. The spring rolls are freshly made. The rice is just right little sticky as it should be and fluffy. Not sure if they have an app or not , want to try online ordering see how it goes, unsure of timing. read more

Was in the area looking for massaman curry. I started talking to the waiter about how I never tried yellow curry and he was so kind enough to bring me some so I could try it. Both of the curries here were delicious! I would recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. They have lunch specials and the price is very reasonable, especially considering how you get two appetizer plates with a meal. Will certainly be back! read more

Amazing daily lunch specials! You get an egg roll, a small salad and a soup while you wait for your entree. The soup changes daily, I go on Tuesdays for their Tom Yum soup. The red curry is my favorite entree. They get a little busy during lunch, I suggest getting there early, around 11:00-11:30. read more

Mango Tree is always clean, employees work hard and food is always fresh. My favorites.... Pineapple fried rice and Thai Tea!!!! I have been coming here for at least 8 years and definitely one of my favorites. The ONLY things I don't like... sometimes they fail to put more than one cashew in pineapple fried rice and they close on Sundays and Mondays as well as every day between 3:00-5 pm ;). I can live with that because they work hard and deserve a break. However they may be missing a good business market between 3 and 5 pm since the high school near by lets out about that time. If they marketed to them it would be a way to increase sales and build the neighborhood familiarity of their yummy dishes. You can't go wrong with the Mango Tree! read more

Food is awesome, good quality and great service as well. Restaurant doesnt have an upscale feel but would still highly recommend it!

Always get the red curry (Thai hot) - it's really good I would rate it 8.5/10! The service is always incredible. Have been dining here forever now and refuse to go elsewhere! read more

This is my second visit to this place and it has grown on me. It does't offer the same level of heat as another restaurant I've been to, but the taste and variety is there. They had a special dish, the Green Curry Chicken Fried Rice and I was all over it - Level 5 heat. It was tasty and delicious, even though I had to add more spice to it. read more

A very reasonable priced Thai Bistro. Service was very friendly, food served piping hot, and spicy to your taste. Ordered Stirred Fried Pineapple Shrimp ( a combo I never tried before), spiced up to level 4 (5 is their max) - so I had sweet & sour & spicy shrimp! It was a rainy Tuesday evening - easy parking - few customers - was not crowded... read more

Pretty good decent Thai food. Came at 2 today and it was pretty much empty. Staff was nice. I ordered 3 items from the lunch menu in which when I looked at the receipt came out to be $8 each, could of sworn it was cheaper on the menu but oh well Lunch portions were bigger than most Thai places and I could barely finish it. It came with the daily special soup, today was Friday so they had hot and sour soup. It was quite spicy but I'm not a fan of hot and spicy soup(3.5/5) so it was ok. The salad(5/5) was the best Thai salad I've had. The peanut salad dressing was amazing and so good. The eggroll(4/5) was good too! Not greasy My orders came out 5min after I ordered it, I'm not over exaggerating and it was hot and fresh. Wow! Pad Thai- 4/5: looked really unappetizing, I thought it would taste bad but surprisingly it was really good!! Pineapple chicken fried rice- 1/5: I thought it was ok but it was my grandmas dish and she took one bite and didn't eat the rest. Was pretty bad she said, also had too much curry powder. She also said the chicken had no flavor and wasn't fresh Green curry- 5/5: very good and spicy! I don't eat eggplants but it was good with the curry. It was also quite spicy and she said that it came like that so I can imagine if someone wanted a level 2+! I would of gave them 5 stars but my grandma said everything she ate tasted terrible and thought Tony Thai had better food.. Hehe read more

I enjoy the food here but I have just one issue. The spice level is so inconsistent. I ask for spice 4 but I get absolutely no spice at all. I'll ask for 3 the next time and I'll get weird pockets of spice. Please figure out the spice issue. Thanks! read more

Not coming back for sure. Not worth my money. Pad thai is bland, they served the pad thai with orange colored noodles and chicken. Tom yum is not good either. I went for lunch. My 1st time there. I had the lunch special. Small cup of soup, tiny salad with slices of pear and very tasty and fresh dressing. I had the red curry with chicken and jasmine rice. I asked for eggplant and it was the best eggplant I've ever had. The chicken was fresh and tender. The portion size was very good. It was 2 meals for me. I highly recommend this restaurant. This place is garbage. I ordered chicken shrimp combination, they brought me beef and chicken. I immediately asked for her to return the food. They accused me of eating the shrimp and returning my food that's why there is beef on it. We're the only table here.. she then told me she didn't speak English. To reiterate, this place is garbage. I can't wrap my head around being accused of stealing shrimp and that stealing shrimp amounts to beef on your plate. Fukk this place. I pray that anything and everything that can go bad for them in the future, happens multiple times. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this place. New owners? Something changed. The pineapple fried rice was a favorite until they tried to pass this off on a to-go order. It was loaded with green beans and broccoli , neither even listed as an ingredient per the menu. Was looking forward to heating up and having it with dinner, but such a disappointment. Called over there and was argued with by someone named "Tai" (owner? New owner?). She was being defensive and argumentative, insisting that "these are the ingredients" and "you said no chicken", "You said vegetable". So does "no chicken" equal "add random vegetables" like green beans and broccoli? I asked for a refund and she told me "I will check the camera" and "bring the food back". Never once offering to make this right, I wish you to check the camera and please send me the video. This is not the pineapple fried rice I've eaten several times before. This was the first time it was prepared like this. If you are a new owner, you just lost a customer due to your lack of customer service. Keep on this path and you'll likely lose more. read more
