Some of the best sushi I have found in Cincinnati. You get what you pay for - the portions are perfect. The cuts of fish (for sashimi, nigiri, and rolls) are big, tender, and juicy. The sushi we ordered was fresh and delicious. They know how do it right - you simply cannot find sushi like this at one of the dozen half-price (half as good) restaurants in this area. The mango curry was amazing as well (can't speak for any of the other Thai food). The service was great - the owner super friendly and stopped by our table on multiple occasions. The place is small, and from what I hear they do a lot of carry-out. You can't go wrong either way! From now on, this will be my go-to for Thai/Sushi. P.S. No matter how full you are, you have to try their mango sticky rice for dessert (if you like coconut). So so so tasty. read more

This is one of our go to places. They offer both Thai food and Sushi and excel at both. I have tried a few of their rice noodle dishes and have enjoyed all of them. My husband had tried at least 6 different sushi rolls and has not been disappointed. I am on vacation and therefore unfamiliar with the city, but Mango Tree did not disappoint. The calamari appetizer was hot and crisp, the breading was light, and the dipping sauce was perfect. I can't remember the name of the sushi roll I ordered--something along the lines of trio roll perhaps---and it was beautiful and delicious. I rarely ever order dessert, but the black sticky rice and mango ice cream was absolutely worth it. Appetizer, entree and dessert for less than $30 is not a bad bargain in my book, especially when everything was wonderful, including service and atmosphere. read more

We were able to stop by on the second day they were open. The food is fantastic! We were able to sample their Miso soup and Ginger salad as well. We love Thai and this more than passed the test. The sushi rolls were huge with delicious flavor. The food was very fresh. The original and crispy pad thai were on par with other great thai restaurants in the city. The space is clean and contemporary but very small. We sat near the door and were freezing b/c of the traffic. There was also a large crowd standing there waiting for a seat or food. This was the only reason I did not give it a 5. Looking for what will be my only meal of the day. I ordered the Shrimp hot and sour soup ~ Shrimp and mushroom in the famous Thai hot and sour soup and the pork Thai Spicy Stir-fry with green beans, bamboo shoot, Napa, bell pepper, onion, carrot with red Thai sauce medium in heat. I took advantage of the patio seating because of the beautiful weather. The soup was unique (probably because I have never had Thai hot and sour soup). It was very tasty with a strong parsley flavor since it was garnished with fresh parsley. I like that taste but some may think it a little overbearing. There were 3 shrimp with tails still on ~ wish that they would have removed those. The stir-fry was just fantastic. The pork was well cooked but not tough like I have had elsewhere ~ the seasoning was perfect and the vegetables were done right with the right amount of crispness and doneness. A friend & I ate here for the first time, on a Thursday afternoon, so it was not busy. Our server was friendly and did a good enough job, although we had to ask for more water once. Neither of us like our food REAL spicy, just a little, so we were told to get #1 and did. HOWEVER, it was REALLY spicy - our sinuses got cleared out for sure! The waitress said that it's hard to know how spicy the food will come out. ?? Anyway, I tried the complementary miso soup with my veggie stir fry with brown rice. The soup was good, although miso isn't my favorite. The entree stir fry was a nice size portion and a great value, and was tasty except for it being so spicy. The egg roll side was OK, nothing special. I also ordered summer rolls, and they were presented nicely and tasted fresh. We will try again and order #0 spice next time! read more

Great Thai food. I love the food here, it is great Thai food at a good price. The staff is very friendly. It is my go to spot for when I am craving Thai food. You would never know how much of a gem this place is from the outside. I love getting the crab ragoons here too as the sauce is great and they taste very authentic. We shared several kinds of fresh sushi as appetizers, the yellow curry was fresh and a little spicy, the pad thai was delicious and the mango salsa was fresh. There was plenty of food to share among four adults. The Mango Tree is in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. It was busy at dinner time and the service was very friendly.
