The noodles on the Pad Thai were thin noodles which was new to me, but still good. We really enjoyed our dinner here last night. We ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls for an appetizer. I ordered a water and my husband ordered a Tsingtao beer. We both liked the spring rolls. Nothing exciting about them. Just a standard spring roll. For our entrees we ordered the Red Curry Beef on spice level 9 (husband) and the Spicy Thai Basil on a level 5 spice. The spice heat is from 0-10 and we found it to be a good spice level for each of us. It is a little oily - less creamy and coconut-y than some Thai places we've eaten but we did enjoy our meals quite a bit. I do think that the Spicy Thai Basil dish needed a bit more basil in it. Overall, the food was very good and the service was ok. We'll definitely stop in again to try more of the menu. read more

Decided to try this restaurant after reading positive reviews and because it's about 10 minutes from home. We visited on a weeknight around 5 pm; not many diners but steady carry out business. The service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is non-descript but very clean. As for the food... honestly kind of mediocre for us. We're not fans of curry so we stayed off that side of the menu. A few appetizers were very good, but the wonton soup did not have the rich broth we're used to. Our stir fry dishes, sweet & sour beef and beef with vegetables, were just okay. Just not a log of flavor. We likely will not return, but if you read the positive reviews and are knowledgeable about Thai and curry menus, the friendly service and affordable pricing may be worth giving this a try. read more

This Thai restaurant is the definition of comfort food for me. I love all of their curries. I'm also a big fan of their shrimp shumai and chicken satay. The food is so good, affordable, and always hot and fresh. This will continue to be a staple for me. If you've never been here, absolutely give it a try. Yum!!! read more

I honestly didn't realize there was a Thai restaurant in Anderson Township until my boss mentioned this spot recently. Knowing my love of Thai food, I HAD to check it out, so my work crew decided to head there for lunch. Definitely glad we did because it was great! We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. Most of the business seemed to be carryout but we wanted to dine in. The place itself is very open and inviting with lots of seating. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Not a fan of Thai food? They also do sushi if that's how you roll. There's also a full bar for libations. The lunch menu isn't huge but features a nice variety of dishes. Want it spicy? They make each dish on a spice scale from 1-10. We started with an order of papaya salad at a 6. We got it within minutes and it was super tasty and crisp plus it had a nice spicy kick. For our mains, one of my coworkers got chicken fried rice at a 1, my other coworker got the shrimp Thai spicy at a 6, and I had the pad see ew with chicken at a 6. We didn't wait long at all before everything was ready. My pad see ew was very delicious and had a nice kick too. I didn't leave a single speck of food left on the plate. This is definitely one of my new favorite Thai restaurants. I honestly wish I discovered it sooner. I already plan on bringing my lady next time too. read more

I ordered take-out here today, to pick up. They had it ready for me in 10 minutes, and I got to see the clean, bright, restaurant! The waitress was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the ginger fried rice with black mushrooms. The mushrooms were legit -- very chewy and flavorful, and the ginger came through well. I also ordered the pineapple curry with pork, and the pork was very tender. I finished it off with a refreshing taro boba tea. Very good food presented in a friendly environment. read more

I came by about 30 minutes until closing and service was great but they did ask if I wouldn't mind taking my green curry to go and if I could just enjoy a salad while I waited. The staff was super nice and friendly and I honestly didn't mind. The salad was delicous and they made sure I had water for my tea. I got my curry and went on my way. Sadly as I began to eat I realized how incredibly oily my curry was. I've had curry countless number of times and never had it oily. So I'd like to start with the positives of a place and there I'm going to say the flavors from their Thai curries are excellent! They use a good amount of vegetables, they have a very rich broth for each Curry that is distinct from the other types, you can tell the yellow and the green apart just by smell let alone the actual taste. Beyond that... I guess the fact that they'll throw some heat in there if you ask is great? But if I order a seven and the seven is super hot I'm a little upset, so you can probably guess what happened. Also they messed up my order in three different ways, and the serving sizes are really small. I'm used to anytime I do take out from an Asian spot it's at least two meals, and I'm okay if it's not but these were small servings even for one meal period and in particular they were light on meat, not just the overall body of the dish. so basically if you absolutely have to get Thai food and you are right on the corner of 5 Mile and beechmont go ahead and check them out, otherwise I can think of better places within 15 minutes that I would rather go to read more

Just went to Pin Toh for lunch with a friend. The place used to be an Indian restaurant a while back but they have transformed it nicely. The decor is simple, clean and inviting. I ordered Thai fried rice with tofu and Thai ice tea. My friend ordered Pad Thai with tofu. Thai ice tea has a little twist to it; it is made with green tea. I love it! If you are opt for more the traditional taste, you will not get it. This has a little fragrant taste and more refreshing in my opinion. The fried rice is to my liking, I selected spice level 7 (scale 1-10). It isn't as spicy as I thought it would be. But for lunch I don't like eating too spicy of a food. Lunch also comes with soup and spring roll. (Sorry for not taking any pictures). My friend also likes her Pad Thai, hers was a 9. I would try a 9 next time for dinner. Service was great. I've still never had a bad takeout meal from Pin Toh. It is consistently delicious and high quality. Updating just to add a recommendation for the garlic pepper preparation, specifically the garlic pepper tofu! This is a dish I don't think I've seen on other Thai menus in the area. It's one of Pin Toh's stand outs and one of those craveable dishes that keeps you coming back to a place. Highly recommend! Oh, and the spice scale is out of 10. The only thing that surprised us was that pad Thai portion wasn't what we were use to for typical Thai places. Picked up some carry out from pin toh a couple weeks ago and we loved it! Carry out Thai is always one of our favorite things to grab and my go to is mai Thai in Florence but I just happen to be in the Anderson area. Occasionally carry out Thai is lacking in flavor but even the level one pad Thai I got for my kids was flavorful and saucy...just how I like it! Highly recommend Pin Toh. read more

I was so thrilled to find this place. They are LEGIT. Everything tasted wonderful. I did order doordash, so i haven't been to the physical location, but that will change someday soon. I had been feeling isolated after moving to my new spot in Amelia; had a few very disappointing food spots. So I was pleasantly surprised that this place was so good, and tasted like home (the SF bay area). The pad see ew in particular was amazingly good. The flavors were so fresh, you could really taste the intricate spices and sauces. Thai food honestly isn't usually my go to choice for asian food, but this place has changed that. One, it was a saltiest dish that I've probably ever eaten, and two, I expected the cashew chicken to be stir fried and I believe it was deep fried. Pin Toh provided dinner to my family twice in one week, it's that good. The first time we ate there in person and the second, we ordered take out. On the plus side, the food is great! Over the course of our two meals, we enjoyed spring rolls, crab Rangoon, shrimp shumai, red curry with chicken, chicken pad Thai, pork Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) and tofu massaman curry. The portions are good and everything was tasty, available quickly and very, very flavorful, with complex and wonderful spice combinations. We favor spicy food and ordered our mains at level six or seven, which brought a good amount of heat. Service was friendly, even when the one server seemed a bit overwhelmed with take out orders and those of us dining inside. Saying that, he took good care of us. While the food is great, there is room for improvement. The restaurant itself lacks atmosphere - it's very bright and there's no music. It's not best place to order a glass of wine - ours seemed to be from a bottle that had been open for a while. Bring the food home and those issues cease to exist. read more

Authentic, fantastic flavor (not just suburbs good, actually good). You can get a true spice level that you sometimes cannot find outside of a big city. Pad Thai passed the vibe check and chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection (not chewy or bland). Recommend trying the curries as well. Service was quick and polite. My first meal from PTA was good: when trying a new Asian restaurant I typically get the combo fried rice = if they do that right there's no point in trying anything else. And it was really good = big shrimp, good pork and beef and good portions. Could have used more egg, though, I find that is almost always the case. What nice clean restaurant with delicious food. They just transitioned to serving in a traditional stacked bowls method which made for a sanitary and attractive delivery and a fun way to eat. Your appetizer is in the top bowl, then your entree, rice in the next if your dish requires it, and condiments in the next. My only feedback is their heat level is on the low side so order high if you want spicy. Service was attentive and again the food was appealing to the eye as well as tasty. My husband was at work in the Florence area, and decided to surprise me with food delivery at home. He searched for a restaurant within 25 miles of our house, and found Pin Toh Asian on Beechmont Ave. I'm glad he did! He ordered me the crab puffs, Tom Kha Kai (coconut chicken soup), and the combination green curry. The crabs puffs were huge! Probably as big as my palm. They were filled to the brim with tons of crab and super creamy cream cheese. Hands down, best I've ever had. The Tom Kha Kai was chock full of giant pieces of onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cilantro. The broth was silky and robust. My favorite ever! The combination green curry had a really rich sauce. It had a great spice. The bottom of the container was layered with huge shrimp. On top was the mix of beef, chicken, and pork, with bamboo, eggplant, zucchini, basil, peppers, and onions.
