4.5 stars. I had the man-coco sticky smoothie. It comes with a scoop of coconut ice cream on top. I feel like that made this smoothie just perfect. Sort of a drink and a snack in one. They use fresh mangoes to make the smoothie. And have a scoop of sticky rice sitting on the bottom. I wish they had added a little more coconut milk or some kind of liquid to loosen up the sticky rice a bit to make it easier to drink. Sucking that up was a quite difficult. I recommend using your straw to poke at it for a bit to break it up before trying to suck it out. Aside from that this drink was perfect. It was everything I was hoping for. Exactly what you would imagine drinking this yummy dessert is like. I tried to use the app to order but it wasn't working so I used the kiosk at the counter. Worked fine. I had just signed up for an account right before i got intk line. My number didn't work when I tried to sign in at the kiosk to earn points. Perhaps there is a delay. Drink came out pretty quickly. Inside has some Milk and Mocha (whom I love) decor at the tables. They have a few tables in the store for you to enjoy your desserts. Staff appear friendly. The desserts looked really good but I didn't want to spoil my dinner so just the drink for me. I'll be back.
Service was friendly, ordering at the front was easy. The mango mille crepe cake was soft, with beautiful layers of whipped cream (not reddi whip) sandwiched between each crepe, the mango coulis was not too sweet, and the mango chunks were perfectly ripe. 10/10 would get this again.
Located on the third level of the Ala Moana mall, Mango Mango boasts HK-style desserts. There's plenty of tables and you can order either at the kiosk or at the register. Ordered their mango sticky rice and their mango sago dish. The mango sticky rice could be improved with more condensed milk, and if the rice was a bit warmer so it'd be more malleable and decadent. Some of the mango pieces are hit or miss. Sago was fine but needed a stronger presence.
Service 1/5 The two staff members were chatty with each other and unwelcoming to any customers, not even giving a glance. Ambiance 2/5 Even on a hot day, it was actually freezing inside the shop. We sat outside instead. The place looked a little unwelcoming to sit in and it was not clean with the trashcan overflowing. Makes me wonder how clean their kitchen is. Food 4/5 In comparison to Hui Lau Shan, it's not up there but it did hit the spot. Overall enjoyed my mango/pomelo/sago.
The mango sticky rice is so creamy and the rice has a perfect texture. The peach berry freeze with crystal jelly is also very delicious. Staff is very helpful when ordering drinks, they also have good recommendations. The tables are usually always clean and the seats are comfortable.
We thought of trying after exploring the mall. Food was not to our taste and we didn't get to go back to try other items. The boba in our drink was a bit hard and not chewy. Service was fast and staff members were nice and friendly. Place was organized and clean.
Their drinks are very good and high quality! They use real fruit and real milk in their drinks. You can choose whole or oat milk. Ambiance is nice as you get to sit on tables and the location is so convenient! Definitely a must try. I heard their cakes are really good as well, and service is fast.
I was craving mangoes so badly, so I decided to try Mango Mango Dessert at Ala Moana, and it did not disappoint. It can be surprisingly hard to find really good mango drinks and treats in Hawaii when it's not mango season, so this place was exactly what I was looking for. My boyfriend ordered the mango strawberry smoothie, and I got the special mango juice smoothie with added rice balls because I was craving something similar to mango sticky rice. I was a little hesitant at first because the special mango juice smoothie comes with sago, which I had never tried before, but it ended up being delicious. The smoothie was fresh, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. The rice balls were the perfect addition and completely satisfied my mango sticky rice craving. The staff were super kind and patient, answering all of our questions and helping us decide what to order. There is also plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your dessert. I loved it so much that we went back twice in one week. If you love mango, this spot is definitely worth a visit!
Mango Mango so nice they named it twice! This place offers so many light and refreshing desserts with mango as its star ingredient! I've been here a few times with my family and I never regret it. It's an average size shop for a mall and it's always clean with helpful employees. It's such a fun, light and fruity treat in comparison to heavier options offered. Give your gut a rest from all things fried and dive into the joy that is Mango Mango.
Delicious. Price was reasonable. The seating inside is small but there is more seating outside. Service is fast.
You have to come here if you love Mango. Their drinks are great. It is really as good as the one we had in Hong Kong and Thailand. Services are amazing, I don't know how they can be that fast. I think my drinks are ready in less then a min. The place is small, but it is still very good spot to have a short break from all the shopping and walking. Highly recommended for mango lover.
As a kid, I used to subscribe to the notion that there's always room for dessert. Sadly, though, despite how the cravings for dessert were still just as strong, our appetite just didn't feel like it could keep up. Either that or our stomachs were still ridiculously full from the heavy lunch we had just finished. However, in defense of our poor planning, we weren't expecting to come across a Mango Mango either! Otherwise, if we did, we definitely saved room to come here! With locations sprinkled throughout the US, yet somehow without a single one in California, my gf had heard about Mango Mango several times from some of her friends in New York. So, when we happened to stumble across this one on the third floor of Ala Moana, we almost felt compelled to stop in. Inside, the place isn't all that large, but the decor is cute and makes for a perfect spot to take a cool break from your retail shopping adventures. As for the menu, unsurprisingly, mangos are the name of the game here, but there's plenty of variety and alternatives to choose from among their many smoothies, fruit teas, milk tea, hot teas, desserts, pastries, sundaes, and waffles. Since there weren't any seats/tables available inside, we opted to just get a drink and settled on their COCONUT MANGO SMOOTHIE-O ($7.95) with Pomelo (+$2) to share. Now, I don't know if it was due to the taste and/or acidity of the pomelo, but the taste of mango in this wasn't as strong as I thought it would've been, especially given how the drink looked. That said, it still had a decent punch of mango to it (they also sprinkle some pieces of it on top) and I liked how well the coconut and the slight tartness of the pomelo worked together. Plus, I loved how deliciously smooth and creamy this was, which felt so cool and refreshing on such a warm day. So good! As much as I enjoyed our smoothie, I will said it also only made me feel that much worse for not getting a second drink to try. Even as we were punching in our order at their kiosk, part of me was second-guessing whether to just get one. Ugh...this is what we get for trying to be sensible while on vacation! I guess we'll just have to make a point of coming back again so that we can correct our terrible mistake and also try one of Mango Mango's desserts. How awful... /sarcasm FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.
I love coming here for their mango stick rice smoothie! They give a generous amount of sticky rice so I taste it with every sip of the drink and it's not too sweet too. The coconut ice cream inside the drink is also very good - doesn't have that artificial coconut flavor at all. The store is kept really clean and they have a good amount of seating inside. You can order with the workers, on their kiosk, or online so very convenient and the drinks/desserts come out very quick.

Looking for a spot with some amazing, refreshing, and light desserts... Well, look no more because they have an amazing selection of different types of desserts. They are known for the Mille Crepe Cakes... My friend and I got to try the Mango and the Ube... All their desserts were super light and air-y. It didn't feel heavy after eating it...The cocoa crepe roll was not what I imagined it would taste like. It was very light too. Going off picture, I thought there would be a crunch factor on the outside. With that being said, I probably would have liked it a bit better if it had something like chocolate crisps on the inside. It just seemed a bit too simple for me... which is not to say that you might not like it. I would still have a bite of it, but not order one... if that makes any sense. One thing that really took this dessert spot to the next level, is they also have a good variety of hot teas that you can order by cup or teapot! We ordered the FRUITY OOLONG and it is exactly what it sounds like!! We decided to order the teapot since it was cheaper since we were sharing! It did not disappoint because there was actual dried fruit inside of the tea! You can taste the natural sweetness from the fruits, but also a good hit of citrus too! It wasn't overpowering, but it paired well with the desserts we had! I would definitely say that the tea is probably not as popular as it should be!! The tea alone could be a great selling point! Finally, one slight recommendation for the workers... because it is such a small location, they probably need a better system for guest that are dining in. You pick your own table, but... it looks kinda bad when the person delivering the dessert would go to each table asking if it's their order. I think they should use Table Place Card Holders, so we would be given a number and they can deliver. That would just be my suggestion for a better serving experience and no mix ups with orders! Other than that, I will definitely be back for more of the Mille Cakes and hope to try something else... Maybe something cold... read more

OMG surprisingly delicious . Hubby and I had an exhausting week thus far. We had some ramen at Tanaka Izakaya whom also serves desserts from Mango Mango. We decided to pay a visit to the Ala Moana location since we we're already there and in the mood for deserts. After looking over the wide variety of desserts and drinks we decided on mango pancake and green tea ice cream. Hubby got the green tea that was paired with red beans and cream. It was tasty and not too sweet. The mango pancake was what I opted for and it was so light and delicate. I was really surprised at how delicious the mango was. It is built up with a layer of sweet tasty mango at the bottom then a thin pancake layer then a dollop of light airy whipped cream and enveloped in the thin crepe like pancake covering. It was so delicious and light I didn't feel over stuffed like I usually do. I can't wait to come back and try some other desserts and maybe a drink. I'm especially looking forward to trying the mango Mochi. It looked delicious. read more
This place is absolutely delicious! Inside the place was nice and clean. It can get crowded depending what time it is. There is outdoor seating as well. I seen them clean tables asap whenever the customer leaves inside the store, but not the outdoor seating area. I ordered the peach salted cream drink? It was amazing! Tasted delicious. Then I had the mango and watermelon with rice balls and that was amazing as well. My son had the waffle vanilla ice cream sandwich and he loved it. He couldn't stop talking about it so we went back another day. My daughter had the strawberry chocolate Sundae? Not sure about all these names but I did take photos lol. She killed it! I would def recommend to try this place if you have a sweet tooth! The customer service was good too. read more

Came to mango mango for the first time, I've been on a mango craze so this was the perfect place. I got the mango sago and it was refreshing and had real chunks of mango inside it was a nice treat. I also got the mango mich which was covered in coconut flakes. My boyfriend and I also enjoyed that. My friends got a watermelon smoothie (she's allergic to dairy) and my other friend got Thai tea and the Ube crepe. They were both good! Also they're boba was cooked perfectly. They have some seats inside and also the outside. They bring you your order if you're dining in. Pretty quick service. Nothing fancy. Would totally come back again! read more

Stopped by Ala Moana mall for dinner and tried this place for dessert since I love mango! It was quiet and lit up well inside. I did the self service checkout and it came out very fast. I think I sat down and got my dessert within 5 mins. I got the mango sago with ice cream! The ice cream was delicious and the mango chunks were sweet. I love sago so it was overall delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the mango drink that was on the side of the cup? It tasted a lil off and kinda warm compared to everything else. It was topped with grapefruit as well which I was meh about. read more

My friend and I stopped by to grab a drink and it was amazing! The drink was not overly sweet and the coconut added a nice creamy touch to the strawberry smoothie. My friend and I will definitely be back to try some of the crepe cakes. read more

Was excited to try here because where I used to work, they went here and said it was good. So I figured why not. There were two registers I guess you could say. One self service card only and the other if you wanted/needed help and to pay cash I think. Anyways I went to the self service card only which was good. So there was a part in the self service that had options of "Dine In" and "Take Out". I pressed dine in and sat outside. Me first time there not knowing you need to press "Take Out" if you WANT to sit outside. Saw no sign saying "Sitting outside, press take out. Sitting inside press dine in". One of the employees came out, coming straight for me said, Employee: Oh you're sitting outside but you pressed "dine in" when you paid. If you're sitting outside you needed to press "take out" (Me not knowing why sitting outside and choosing "DINE IN" was a problem when I can go else where's, sit outside and still "DINE IN") Me (confused as fuck): Well my friends press "dine in" and chose to sit outside Employee: You're desserts are ready but the platings are glass. Are you going to return it when you're done? (Me thinking I'm not an animal of course I'm going to return it) Me: Why wouldn't I return it??? Employee brings out my friends desserts in a take out container knowing damn well they chose "DINE IN" and then brought my boyfriends and my dessert out in the "Dine In" plate setting. I felt profiled like a theif. I scrolled through their instagram and found a picture of people eating on a "DINE IN" plate setting sitting outside. Don't think I'm going back there but I'm just pointing out my confusion. Honestly pictures did not look like how the desserts came out lol. I've had and made better mango sticky rice honestly. I came to YOUR establishment to eat YOUR food and to be RUDELY serviced??? I am the type of person to want to come back if I like it but honestly it was alright don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

Went to Ala Moana for a casual walk after finishing the HNL Marathon the day before. Been trying all sorts of boba places all over town and decided to give this place a try. Pretty good place if you don't like drinks that are too sweet. Definitely tasted the mango. My drink didn't normally come w/ boba but I asked if I could have it added and they accommodated me. It got busier once I sat down and got my smoothie. Lots of ppl taking pics of their orders. Def try if you prefer your treats on the more fruity but less sugary side. read more

Came for some mango sticky rice stayed for the ube soup desert (Hot). I've never had anything like this soup and I'll tell ya, this thing is addictive and perfect. We sat down for some after lunch dessert here. The waffle with green tea ice cream was my favorite. Can't wait to go back for more! As for the mango smoothie and mango sago... I was expecting the very sweet and soft type of mango pieces. Instead, was a bit tart and crunchy. There's a self ordering kiosk for credit card payments. Register was for cash only. They offer 10% military discount, but you need to order at the register and pay cash. read more

Surprisingly tasty even though I don't usually like mango it was super refreshing and a perfect treat to cool off to. Everything goes so well together and the amount of fruit pieces is quite generous. Unlike some other places that gives 20% fruit with 80% ice, I felt like I got a very balanced proportion here and love that the fruit goes right through the straw. Strawberry Mango Juice Sago & Lychee Jelly with Mango Ice Cream and Mango Strawberry Smoothie is the perfect combo. Service was fast and friendly. Place is clean and well lit with lots of tables. Am happy to find they also opened a location at Pearl Ridge. read more

I was looking for boba and came across this place. I originally ordered the thai bubble tea and my friend got the signature bubble tea. it was very bad, the boba was not chewy and didn't taste like brown sugar at all and the drink itself didn't really have any flavor, same for the signature drink. So I asked the worker if I could exchange for another drink or a refund she kindly said I could get a different drink free of charge. I got their most popular drink, it was like a mango sticky rice but in a smoothie form. it was very delicious. I feel like they should have stickers that say "most popular" or "recommended" also i don't think they should serve boba because it was really bad. but great customer service overall. read more

My very first time here. Staff tried to convince me to use their touch screen feature but I wouldn't know what I'd be doing. Got me the mango crepe cake and the mango smoothie. Very soft. Perfectly sweet. Went well with the smoothie. I have a sweet tooth so I will be returning time to time to try their other crepe flavors. Then I'll be giving them a star update. Definitely give this place a try. read more
Founded in 2013 in Chinatown in New York and inspired by traditional Hong Kong desserts, Mango Mango Dessert became very popular as a handcrafted dessert restaurant and expanded thereafter to more than 30 locations in 30 states. With its new dessert concept to HI with exciting twists on classic drinks and popular desserts, it specializes in fresh fruit desserts; bowls of fresh fruits; shave ice; fruit tea; blended drinks; hot and cold desserts; sundaes; pancakes; waffles; crepe cakes (fluffy, finely layered cake drizzled with mango juice and served with mango chunks) and rolls; cakes; soups (with almonds, walnuts, red dates, yams, longan, and sesame); mochi; smoothies; ice creams; and more. Although its name mentions "mango," they use many other fresh fruits. Some of the typical ingredients that are used are: red beans, lychee jelly, mango juice, coconut, durian, strawberries, ube, matcha, black sesame, black rice, and more. They also offer combos of mix-and-match desserts. According to staff, their top three drinks are: coconut mango smoothie-o (D1), mango smoothie-o (D2), and mango strawberry smoothie-o (D3). Their top three classic desserts are: special mango juice sago & pomelo with mango ice cream (A1), snow white mango juice sago & pomelo with mango ice cream (A2), and strawberry mango juice sago & lychee jelly with mango ice cream (A3). Women owned and operated, Tina Wang is HI's exclusive franchise owner of Mango Mango Dessert. Her name may sound familiar, as she also is the founder and owner of Tanaka Ramen and Izakaya. She opened the first location of Mango Mango Dessert in Dec. 2020 at Pearlridge Shopping Center, and now at Ala Moana on 3/30/22 next to Island Brew Coffeehouse and Bloomingdale's on the 3rd floor using the 1,000 sq. ft. space formerly occupied by Pierre Marcolini. (Note that on its current menu, it appears a third location is in the works at 755 Kapahulu Ave.) I chose the following: * A3 Strawberry mango juice, sago & lychee jelly with mango ice cream and rice (tapioca) ball (complimentary). My husband and I shared this dessert, and both of us thought that this was so very refreshing, with all the ingredients blending well with each other. Perfect choice, as I love strawberries, mango, lychee, ice cream, and tapioca balls! The ice cream melted quite quickly, though. * D1 Coconut Mango Smoothie-O. For mango lovers, as the taste of mango was dominant and rich. I love mangoes, so I enjoyed this thick drink with chunks of mango in it. Note that the Ala Moana location has two exclusive items: mango sticky rice, and man-coco stick made with Thai sweet rice steamed with pandan leaves, vanilla ice cream, coconut milk, and roasted coconut chips. You order at the front counter, and if you're going to dine in, find a table, and staff will bring your order to you. Yes, there was a line when we were there about 1p on a Mon. It appears that there's a hold-up when people are at the front counter, seeing the menu for the first time and unable to make a quick decision on what to order due to the extensive number of desserts and drinks and the customers' unfamiliarity with the menu at this new restaurant. Even I held up the line, as I didn't know what to order and had to ask for recommendations. Suggest that menu be given to those waiting in line or have them posted on the premises so that the order line moves faster. The restaurant interior is bright white and clean, with modern fixtures and furniture. There are about seven tables indoors and another six tables under umbrellas outdoors. Yes, the tables fill up fast! So if you're with friends, have one person order while the other is saving the table. Hours of operation are: Mon to Sat, 11a - 9p, and Sun, 11a - 8p. Credit cards are accepted. Free parking is available at the shopping center. We wish much success for this new location of Mango Mango Dessert! With such an extensive menu, I look forward in returning to try their many amazing drinks and desserts! read more

The mangoes were sour. I don't know if it's like that all the time, but some people like that...? I got the coconut mango smoothie w/ boba. It's Topped with bits of mango. This is a fairly new Asian dessert place located in the Ala Moana Center. It is bright, clean and looks very inviting. However, I've not impressed at all by their offerings and a few other details. It's just another fruity tea place with some cold desserts added to the mix. When you get in, it is a little confusing. They seem to be set up as a takeout self-service style eatery but the flow in the room causes sort of a confusing congestion at the entrance. However, their staff are there to assist you through the madness and are friendly. Although tasty, my Mango Juice, Sago & Pomelo, Mango Ice Cream dessert nothing exceptional and rather small in portion for the price. I know they are in the mall and I'm sure rent is high, but I didn't see the value in the item I ordered. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but there is nothing to bring me back. I doubt I'll give it another try and will advise to pass on this place unless their is something that you crave there. read more

Was craving something sweet and refreshing after shopping at the Ala Moana mall! Located on the 3rd floor with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Woohoo! Mango Mango is now located a little closer to home (compared to their first location at Pearlridge); which means only driving 5 minutes to get my mango fix versus 15 (townies, amirite?!). Mango Mango is the perfect spot when you're in need of a refreshing pick me up. Don't let the name fool you as they have a wide variety of drinks and desserts that come in a variety of fruity flavors (not just mango). The space itself is located in the same space where the chocolate/soft serve store used to be on the top floor of the Ewa wing, neighbors with Nature Republic and Island Brew. You can't miss it--as soon as you come up the escalator it's there. In addition, they also have a small seating section parallel to their store front. I've tried both a handful of their drinks as well as their shave ice like desserts and both were pretty tasty. They use a bunch of freshly cut fruits and you can distinctly taste 'em in everything they produce. I came to visit during their grand-opening week so granted they were pretty slammed--nonetheless, their service was relatively quick and exceptionally friendly! Congratulations Mango Mango Dessert! read more

Mango dessert places are a dime a dozen in Taiwan. I was eager to try this place, based on that. The shop is located in prime area diagonally across the Dior Cafe, but on the 2nd floor. Aesthetics-wise, very cute place. The herbal jelly mango sago was very small for its price, which is justifiable if it can deliver on taste. I was sorely disappointed. Mango, not sweet (thought not really their fault to a degree); herbal jelly, slightly better than the canned version. Despite its tiny size, the desert was left unfinished. That speaks volumes. I came, I tried, now I know. read more

Cute dessert place with a large selection of mango, other fixed fruit, crepe cake, and more. We stopped by after having dinner at Shabuya, and we were pleasantly surprised with everything considering the fact that it was our first times being there. Mango Mango is located on the third floor, Nordstrom Wing... right above Ben Bridge. Just for clarification, if you were to eat at Shabuya and walk towards Bloomingdale's, you would take the escalator up and Mango Mango will be located on your right. We looked at the menu and decided to order 2 mango crepe cakes (one to go), 2 mango sundaes, and 2 ube crepe cakes (one to go). The cashier was very sweet, and instructed us to take a seat and wait for someone to bring our order to us. The overall vibe of the shop was very sweet and bright. The colors were much neutral, which is a change from other ice cream shops I've tried. Although I didn't try the mango crepe cake, the ube crepe cake was super light, fluffy, and not too sweet. The presentation of the cheesecake was cute as they dusted it with ube powder. The mango sundae was also very refreshing. They topped it with fresh mango and whip cream. Overall, the dessert was very tasty! If you prefer lighter/subtle sweets, I highly recommend this place! read more

Tanya: I got the Snow White Strawberry and added boba. I'm not sure what the white topping was, but it had a hint of coconut. It was really refreshing! The drink itself tastes like the actual fruit, which stands out from other places that sell fruit drinks. The boba itself was unsweetened which didn't really add anything to the drink besides texture. I probably wouldn't add boba next time. Instead, I would try the lychee jelly to keep the "natural" fruit taste. Their seating area is enough to house a couple groups of people, but I could imagine it would be decently crowded on a busier day. Overall, I loved how refreshing the drinks tasted and would love to try more items on their menu!! Isaac: I got the Mango Strawberry smoothie (left) with an added on lychee jelly on the bottom. The taste of both the mango and the strawberry were very fruity like, not artificially flavored like other places. The drink featured small mangos and small strawberries at the top that mixed well with the whole smoothie. The lychee jelly at the bottom was nice and soft textured as well. We did not wait long at all, i'd say around 3 minutes and their employee came out and handed us out drinks. Their ordering system was real easy, you don't need to get your order taken by an employee bc they have an ipad self ordering system that is very efficient. I would definitely recommend this place. Although the total for both our drinks was around $18, i still believe that it was worth it. read more
