We stopped here before going on a hike. We enjoyed our acai bowls! We had our dog with us and sat on the benches in the back. We didn't realize there was parking in the back and just ended up parking on the street which was pretty easy to find. read more

Peanut butter acai bowl was great, super smooth and tasty but the regular standard one was a little icy and not my favorite. The fruit and granola were fresh and tasty (I've had stale granola before from acai places so always skeptical). Portions sizes for the "baby" are large enough for one person and at $8, its pretty reasonable. The serving bowls are cute and the outdoor seating in the back is nice. They also have a dog that runs around like he owns the place which is very cute. read more

The bowls were delicious but as soon as we sat down a man in a blue bike suit who presumably was the owner or manager started loudly and aggressively chastising the teenage staff who were doing a good job being nice and taking care of the guests. It made the atmosphere very hostile and I felt bad for the workers. As someone who has been a manager for younger people in food service, there is a respectful way to correct mistakes, especially in front of your customers. He said " people won't come back if you give them a shitty bowl", well people also won't come back if you're an asshole. read more

I am really in love with this place, it reminds me of an açaí surf shack back home -- such a vibe. Juicy fresh gorgeous berries and creamy, delicious açaí that is pure medicine. IMO açaí is better than coffee, and it powers me through any challenging day. Not too sweet, not too frozen or ice crystal-y. This place nails it. I love the menu and always end up ordering 3-5 bowls that I can freeze and enjoy throughout the week because their menucraft is so creative and drool-worthy. 5 stars for quality honey that reflects this beautiful region we live in. My 13 year old daughter went inside the restaurant by herself to get an acai bowl. While I waited the owner came out the back door looked at my tesla and then went and commented rudely to my daughter about it, saying he hoped she spilled it all over the car. Completely inappropriate for a shop owner to make a child feel uncomfortable like that. Really shocked and disapointed. read more

The owner is rude. After coming to his place weekly for a year, one day he decided to mutter under his breath, "You get a bigger bowl if you tip for it". I had tipped him but apparently it was not enough. Mind you this is at a place where you have to stand at the counter to order. There is no extra service. I then asked him what he said and he said, "Do you like this song"? He lied and back pedaled. Also, you cannot rely on the hours. He cruises in to open whenever he feels like it. I've come many times 30 minutes or even 60 minutes after the alleged hours only to find it closed. It's a shame, because the food is good. So if you want good food and don't care how you are treated then come enjoy this Fairfax gem. I will be opting for other restaurants from here on. read more

Food was amazing and I love the vibe of this little place. A couple of the ingredients of our bowls were out at the time, and no substitutions were offered. I loved the ceramic bowls they were served in. 2 mediums bowls were a bit pricey but overall, sitting outside enjoying a healthy fresh smoothie bowl was a great breakfast on our last day in Marin. read more

Second time mana bowls in Fairfax while running an errand for my boss. Originally came for the Buffalo soft serve, which was incredibly delicious and I didn't know it would be lactose-free. Second time was for the avocado bowl! The avocado bowl really taste like avocado and for the portion I would probably stick to Palmetto. The service was good. Mana bowls is definitely the best Açaí bowl place in all of Marin. I have no bias as I don't personally know anybody that works here. It's just relatively close to my work and I get bowls for my lunch breaks. I've personally been to every single açaí bowl place in the area and nothing tops it. The ratio of ingredients is absolutely perfect and the display is perfect. The fruit is actually cold aswell, which is usually not the case for most places that serve this kind of stuff read more

The açaí bowl, as understood in America, often seems more about the fruit and granola toppings than about the açaí itself. In Brazil, I encountered no açaí bowls, merely cups full of plain, thick, icy, and sweet açaí that required no toppers; the açaí stood proudly on its own and in the heat of Ipanema it needed nothing more. Rarely have I encountered açaí in America that stands up to the true Brazilian stuff but every once in a while I've encountered açaí that seems a different product entirely. Sometimes this is the result of thinning the berry with apple juice, a process which imparts a different flavor and consistency. Here at Mana Bowls, it seems they thin their açaí with juice but to a consistency that is both runny and, to my taste buds, unpleasant. The menu is dense with offerings and the acai bowl I got ($12, regular size) included berries, banana, granola, coconut, and honey, all of which I was grateful for because every time my spoon hit that açaí on its own the resulting spoonful did not bring joy. Brazil is clearly too far to go for a warm weather treat but San Rafael is probably not; Brazilian Breads serves up a far better açaí bowl. read more

I only came here once almost ten years ago when my partner lived in larkspur, and I still talk about this place. the owner is friendly, cares about his food and customers, and generally has curated an amazing spot to eat and drink and hang out. the stand out experience for me was the chai he served: it was spicy, not chalky or made from a mix or powder, fresh, and it has absolutely ruined me. nothing lives up to that chai and I fear nothing ever will. I am doomed to wander the earth (los angeles area) searching for a chai I cannot obtain. genuinely hope to one day make it back to this spot read more

I have never had an açaí bowl so tasteless and dissatisfying... but I wasn't going to comment until I pull out of the bowl what looks like a worm. I don't know if it's a worm or not it might be fibers from one of the fruits and I'm not not going to accuse them of anything until I have proof, but the bowl was also really not good at all. I don't think there was an ounce of fresh fruit in there. Even the blueberries were old. I'll definitely be throwing the rest away. I just don't know what this would be? The bowls are not made fresh so prepare to see a tub of the mix being dumped into your bowl. The girl working there was beautiful and sweet. The dog is cute. i never write reviews for places but was kinda shocked about my mana bowl experience...i walked in at about 1pm today and the person working was cutting strawberries for another order and gave me a second to think about what i wanted before i ordered. when i was ready to order he turned around with his red and dripping strawberry hands and took my order. with the same hands (that were still red and dripping mind you) took my cash and gave me change out of the register and my change (which was cash) was handed to me damp with red fingerprints from the strawberries. after that, he splashed his fingers with water for maybe 2 seconds and continued on with the strawberries for whoever's order was before mine. splashed his hands under water again before working on my açaí bowl. so weird and gross and they have the audacity to have this sign up for all to see: read more

Yes, it is pricey, but it's worth it. No plastic, organic, and perfect after a long hike. They were close for a while due to Covid19 (I believe) but they are now open for business. Remember to practice social distancing while you're in there. read more

This is my favorite place to get mana/acai bowls in Marin County. The granola is good and not too sugary tasting, the fruit is fresh, and the employees are usually very friendly. I always go for the fruity flavors, but they have options with peanut butter and chocolate if you're into that. One complaint I do have is that they are not the most reliable. I've shown up an hour after they were supposed to be open and no one was there yet. Moreover, sometimes they are out of some things on the menu, but that is common with any place and I love most of their bowls so it's not a big deal. Lastly, they raised their prices so it's pretty expensive. However, I definitely think it's worth the money and I treat it as a full meal, not just a snack. Overall, it's definitely worth the drive--I love bringing people when they come to visit or just going there with a group of friends! read more

The first time a came here a few years ago I got a classic açaí bowl, I came back for the first time today and had the worst experience. I spent $15 on a room temperature Yerba mate and a watery smoothie that also was room temperature. Granted it was a hot day, but frozen fruit should be cold...? The water jug was practically empty and the water in it tasted weird and tainted my water bottle. The person working ignored us when we walked in and didn't help me and my friend until we asked. Staff is super friendly. Bowls are super heart and healthy. Get the smallest one for a snack and the medium size or bigger if you're super hungry. Shop dog is also super chill and friendly. Available parking in the lot across the street (4 hours). Excellent people watching even from the safety of your car. read more

Now I've never been to Brazil, but I do know that if I'm ever in the mood for açaí I will not be visiting anywhere else. Staff was gentle, kind, and informative. My first time at Mana Bowls and first time trying these açaí bowls...and let me tell you...it was delicious! Everything about this place is awesome, in my opinion. The place is cute, the food is delish, the staff was great! She was sweet and nice. Great customer service, for sure! The location is nice, when I'm working at Fairfax; but definitely, far from my home. However, I got the medium size Bright Pitaya Bowl and a coconut water for lunch. It was filling for me and just the perfect portion. My manager got the small size Dark Chocolate Mango Bowl. She didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed mine, because she realized that she didn't have mangoes and dark chocolate chips in hers. Anywho, I would recommend this place for anyone who is in that area and is craving for these açaí bowls. read more

Dropped by this place after a hike in Pt. Reyes, since we had driven by earlier and thought it looked lovely. Everyone else looked like high school students so I'm guessing it's a pretty cool casual place to hang around, it has some comfy seating areas inside & outside. I got the pitaya bowl and loved it! It made the whole experience feel welcoming and positive. Ive already become a regular because of it. When I came in today, I witnessed a situation where another customer was yelling at the owner over an order being slightly delayed (she had placed a very large order during a busy rush). Despite being pulled outside and confronted, the owner handled everything with impressive calmness and professionalism. I wanted to share this because the level of customer service I've seen here truly stands out. Experiences like mine are what keep people coming back, and I hope this reflects that.

The shop itself is on the smaller side, with one bench to sit at inside, but that's all good since it's more of a takeout business. It's bright inside, and the atmosphere is welcoming. You order at the counter, watch them make your creation, and pick it up when it's done! They also offer mobile ordering. Service is always fantastic from everyone I've encountered! Since I work in Marin and got my coworker hooked, we sometimes stop by for açaí before or after work. There are so many options for either signature or build-your-own bowls! I've been trying each signature bowl. This go around, I tried their Bom Dia A.M Breakfast Bowl in a size small. This was so delicious! I loved the fresh fruit, the texture of all the toppings, how rich and creamy it was, and the sweet yet refreshing taste. The smalls are always so filling for me, so I struggle to finish. Definitely keep that in mind! If I go any larger, I'm usually sharing with someone! I'd definitely order this again, but I have also loved everything I've tried. So happy that Palmetto is continuing to branch out and is successful in Marin. Glad to continue supporting them, especially since they're on my commute route! Find them on the Town Center side near Pacific Catch and across Five Little Monkeys. Free parking all around!
