If you're in Davis, you'll just have to see it for yourself. Bryan was our bartender, and he was great about helping us celebrate our birthday girl. He treated her to the standard 21st birthday shot (you know the one, the sweet shot you're supposed to take with no hands). After that, we ordered a Moscow Mule, a vodka soda, and an IPA. Oh, and in case you're wondering, they don't have any beers on tap. Would 100% come back here.

The Cloudbreaker immediately met my taste buds with bitterness and then left my tongue completely numb for several minutes. Perhaps those sensations would have paid off if they were followed by a calming or THC-like effect, but I didn't experience any change in mental state. The comfortable atmosphere saves this establishment from 1 star. Dim lights, leather couches, chill music, and colorful tiki wall art make for a decent study spot or date night. However, if you're hanging out at a business, you gotta support it, and to support it, you gotta buy something -- I can't see myself buying anything kava-related with any ounce of enjoyment. Surely there must be some variation of a kava drink that tastes delightful. I don't want to spend any more money finding out though.

If you know, it is already incredibly hard taking an autistic child to a restaurant. The manager thought it was ok to tell my 13 year old to put on my autistic son's shoes..... (why not ask me, the mom?) As my son is screaming and heaving a full meltdown over shoes now, the manager continues to apologize because there were possibly glass shards on the ground in his restaurant. If that is the case, maybe someone else should be notified as that is a serious safety hazard and my son would get cut anyway as he has sandals that expose his feet, as did my daughter. I will never eat here and will make sure to let all my friends with and without kids with disabilities to never eat here. What an unacceptable excuse this place made me and my family feel. If I could I would rate it 0 stars. Horrible management!!

So good you almost wanna lick the plate. Our daughter walked around to take a look at the collection that they had on the wall where you can buy bottles there, Jared personally, came out to answer any question that she had about the wines and he was very knowledgable about it all. But she said she didn't mind if her wings were hot and the salad was already cold. It was 10 more minutes before my meal came out. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. The fried egg on top was a bonus! The meat was cooked very well - tender and flavorful. The rice was a little more saucy than I would have preferred, but still yummy. I ended up taking home 2/3 of it. I love when I have lunch the next day!! The free Photo Booth was a great addition! We headed over to G Street WunderBar located on G street in downtown Davis. We ended up parking on the street-so many parking spots in Davis-so it was no problem. When we walked in,it was quiet, not a lot going on but I knew this was a fun place. Wasn't hard to imagine how much fun this place would be on a Friday or Saturday night in this college town. I asked the bartender lady and she pretty much verified that it gets nutso in there on weekends. This bar has lots of tables and multiple rooms,so they have capacity for many people. They have multiple pool tables and video games in the back room, along with an entirely separate bar back there. They have a big screen projector screen and many small TVs along the bar to accommodate anyone wanting to watch any live sporting event. The Happy Hour here is pretty solid as well,$5 drinks were available. I heard the food here is pretty decent but we weren't here for that-maybe next time. My favorite part of this bar though easily was the bartender-She was such a breath of fresh air,so much personality and her hockey knowledge was amazing-she really made my visit to this bar quite enjoyable. In closing, If you ever find yourself in downtown Davis and need to kill some time or just want a quick drink, don't hesitate to drop by G Street Wunderbar-it's a good time.

Instead, our experience was ruined by the owner, Gordon Langstaff, and his completely inappropriate behavior around a small child. My son, who is three and on the autism spectrum, briefly picked up a loose electrical cord that was lying on the ground under the patio stairs (I have a photo of how exposed it was). Instead of calmly addressing the situation, Gordon walked over in a rude, irritated tone and said, "Can you do something?" I told him I was already handling it and redirecting my son, but as he walked away he started cursing under his breath, using foul language that was clearly audible right next to my child. There is no excuse for swearing like that in front of a three‑year‑old, especially when the unsafe cord was left out in the open by the restaurant in the first place. Whether or not my son is autistic, families should never be subjected to hostility and foul language from the owner of a restaurant. If you offer outdoor seating and leave cords and other hazards accessible, you should expect children to be curious and respond with basic courtesy, not anger. The food itself was mediocre, and after that interaction it honestly didn't matter. This was supposed to be a special birthday outing, and his attitude and language completely ruined it.

Katie and I can rarely arrive before Lynn & Lon, but we managed this time. It can be loud inside and it is difficult for me to hear conversations. But tonight the weather was nice and most diners wanted patio seating. We got a middle table inside for six. Our server, Alexia really added to the joy of seeing our southern California family. First off, when I ordered a margarita, she asked for my ID. I laughed, but she gave me a deadpan stare. I laughed again as I pulled out my wallet. Katie was incredulous. Then Alexia cracked us both up when she asked. "Is this your father's ID?" I'm in my mid-sixties and shave the minimal follicles that manage to produce after the wild ride that has been my life. "My father's ID." This girl is a hoot. I order the same dish every time: cheese enchiladas with molé sauce. I first had molé at the K street location in Sacramento in the late 90's. The flavor bouquet was amazing. This visit, I was attracted to the birria taco special and told Alexia I was torn between my usual and the birria. She responded, "May I surprise you?" Uh...okay. It was a delightful surprise indeed to have a plate brought out with one of each. It made my meal perfect! Another item from the specials menu caught my eye (wish I'd photographed the specials menu) and that was a cherry margarita. I'm fond of cherry anything. But when I sipped the drink, it had such a smokey flavor it really knocked my socks off. The drink reminded me of a cross between a peaty scotch and a smoked whiskey. Not overly sweet, it had more going on than I could comprehend. But I'll tell you this - I'd order it again in a heartbeat. If this special isn't available, this will be my drink of choice: SMOKEY MARGARITA Illegal Mezcal, fresh lime, Conciere, spicy salt rim. $14. Everyone enjoyed their choices and Alexia was attentive, efficient, knowledgeable and humorous. She elevated our experience on this visit. Of course we will be back.
