I ordered 3 dozen baby shower themed donuts for my sisters baby shower. The donuts were perfect!!! Not only were they beautiful but they were also delicious!!! They were worth every penny! Service was also great. I forgot to get his name but he understood exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. The donuts were ready on time and tasted super fresh. I cannot wait to order again!

Not your average family owed donut shop. They are super friendly and they have the best donuts. If you want beautifully decorated ones they go all out for the holidays and even just custom ones.

Donuts!

How lucky are we to have Mama's Donuts in Lake Balboa? Everything is fresh, including juice & coffee. Wide menu selection with everything you could want for breakfast or lunch. Nice prices & friendly staff! Plenty of seating with lots of light to sit & enjoy your meal...

Ask the Community - Mama's Donuts

What is the cost for a plain donut....and Apple Fritters?

Can they make a large texas-sized donut with some decor on it? I want to use it in lieu of a birthday cake.

Are the unicorn donuts custom made or are they available daily?

Both. On the weekends they go fast.

Is it made of white chocolate the glazing or just sugar glaze?

How much do the donuts go for?

Hello! Good day. How much is a blue glazed donut ? Per piece?

Then we saw a tiramisu French toast on the sign and gave that an order as well. If you come here, I feel you need to get both the huevos rancheros and the chilaquiles. They actually balance each other perfectly. Both of the flavors are just so well crafted, plus you get so much avocado with each of your dishes. We were really excited for the tiramisu French toast though. Our order came out looking like pancakes, but it was okay, because these pancakes were made extremely well. They don't have the same texture or density as normal pancakes. They taste a lot better. Plus how they combine all the ingredients is especially lovely. Would come back after going to the airport. Service is great and everyone is so kind and attentive. Ambiance is either indoors or outdoors so you get your choice of where you want to sit. Pet friendly too as they'll bring out a water bowl for a puppy. Woof woof!

However, the taste was not that great. The salad that came with my food looks like it has been out for a while. Dry and some wilted araarugula. I got a spicy chicken omelet. Was it spicy? Nope. Only a few chopped jalapeño thats not spicy, very little amount of chicken and basil. Pretty unsatisfied with this omelet. Maybe it's an off day, or too early? Not for me? I think so. Stomach was unsettled after the salad. Not coming back.

I was with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, celebrating Mother's Day. The patio area is very pretty, with the water fountain and umbrellas. The inside was like a cozy home decor. Very comfortable seating, It was very loud. I ordered the french toast waffle with fresh strawberries, kiwi and berries. I declined the whip cream and nuts and didn't use the melted butter and syrup that came with it. My waffle was delicious, with mounds of fruit, although mine was delivered about 10 minutes after everyone else, and it wasn't a french toast waffle. My daughter had the traditional eggs benedict with potatoes, which she enjoyed. My pregnant granddaughter had eggs benedict, but removed one of the english muffins and added avocado. She was very happy. My youngest granddaughter also had the eggs benedict, but with fruit. We all left full. The service was very good, in spite of the busy day.

While two kind waiters originally came to our group to just offer coffee and water, a hostess randomly came up to our group and rudely said "well, your group has been here for 40 minutes now and still haven't ordered and we need the tables". First and foremost, our group had not been there for 40 minutes yet, and if we had been, that would have showed how delayed their service was. Secondly, the hostess came off very rude and aggressive, she could have asked if we were just ready to order. Finally, we had been waiting for someone to take our order the entire time! We kindly advised we had been waiting to order. She ruined the vibes for the entire group, and we did not feel welcome for the rest of the experience. The waiters were extremely kind, just not whoever the hostess was on 5/9/26. Waffles came out first, would have made more sense to have them after the main meal. Eggs Benedict were very traditional, seasoned well but nothing to rave for. They definitely have a different take on chilaquiles, not what I was expecting but decently seasoned. Food is around 6.5-7/10. Well seasoned, flavorful but not unique. Not coming back to this location to due the experience unfortunately.

Weekends will be busy and there will be a wait for a table, but I ventured in with some friends on a Wednesday, and we were quickly seated. On this occasion, our server took a fairly long time to come to our table, and was very low energy. One got the sense that she may have been preoccupied with some things, but she was still professional and did everything that needed to be done, so let's just chalk up the lack of enthusiasm to a Wednesday blues. I ordered the Hash Benedict, which replaces the traditional Canadian bacon with Corned Beef Hash but otherwise has all the usual Benedict elements. The eggs were poached nicely, with just the right amount of "runniness" to them, and the Hollandaise sauce had a pleasingly acidic bite and an enjoyably light consistency. The corned beef hash, however, was unmemorable. Not much flavor and perhaps a bit too heavy for adding so little taste to the dish. One friend ordered the Fort Lox, which is the Nook's take on the Jewish deli staple, Lox, Eggs and Onions. It was a generous portion, expertly scrambled, and served with properly browned breakfast potatoes. He ate every bite, and enjoyed it. His wife ordered the Big Mamma Omelette: eggs whites folded over spinach, veggie sausage, garlic, jalapenos and mushrooms, then topped with melted mozzarella. This was also a very generous portion, again served with nicely browned potatoes. Lots of ingredients, lots of flavor, and lots of satisfaction. All in all, this was a good, mid-week breakfast, though I'd not order the hash again (that's a personal thing), and I hope our server finds some bliss in the coming days.

Our waiter, Marcus, was so kind and attentive. We told him it was our first time visiting, and he happily told us that pretty much everything is made fresh in house. Definitely made it hard to decide what to order because it all looked so good. We started with a pecan roll, which was served warm and was only $2.75?? Such a perfect way to kick things off. We all pretty much went for lunch food, but wanted to sample the housemade sausage so we ordered a spicy turkey patty to share. It was so flavorful! I went halfsies with a patty melt/curly fries and a cajun chicken sandwich/regular fries. I was easily able to swap the rye for sourdough and jack for American cheese. It was hard to pick a favorite, but I think the patty melt won for me! It was perfectly grilled, delightfully melty, and so juicy. And the curly fries are definitely worth the $0.35 uncharge. We were in and out pretty quickly, but now I just want to go back to explore more of the menu. Such a gem!

Yes, this place is that busy and yes, this place is that good! Nat's have a nice selection of yummy lunch and breakfast items, but for me, their Benedicts are the most epic. The Lox Benedict is just phenomenal-- eggs runny to perfection, English muffin nicely toasted, the lox is very good quality and their Hollandaise sauce that's topping Benedicts is just out of this world. Perfect in smooth texture and consistency, and with flavor notes of lemon juice, egg yolk, some salt and cayenne pepper, their sauce is the true headliner and completes this amazing breakfast dish. All ingredients work so well together and as you take your first bite, you know you're now in the territory of a very pleasant morning. My Benedict was accompanied by super tasty freshly made breakfast potatoes. I like to order mine slightly well done, with a bit of char on them. And as a side note, their black coffee is strong and very flavorful. I normally finish out my breakfast with that cup of coffee and their home made strawberry and apricot jams that they serve you complimentary at the table. Nat's has vibes of an old school diner with waiters who are still genuinely smiling, which is pleasing and rare. The customer service is excellent and they have about 15-20 comfy booths with a few additional tables for your dine-in pleasure. Just a great spot and I will definitely be back soon!
