Chai tea latte

Ehhhh... I went here 3 times over a 2-day period whilst staying at the Thompson. While it is aesthetically appealing, the food fell flat for me each time... very bland. Also, the service is a little questionable as well. The busboy was a bit rude and seemed irritable on two of the three times I went. The lines are extremely long...

Fun coffee spot to go to with a French flair. You can't go wrong with the coffee here. The pastries are fancy looking but there's really only one option that will never disappoint, the pistachio croissant, that one is excellent. Also, the omelettes look so good, and guess what they taste good too. Outside of the the pistachio croissant and the omelet, not sure what else you should get, because everything else has been fairly average and look better than they taste.

Went to the Navy Yard Maman for the first time on Saturday. Very similar vibe as the other Maman's that I've gone to, though this one seemed less busy than the others - a plus! We placed our orders and found a table right away. I enjoyed one of the World Cup Pastries - Argentina - that had a guava filling. It was really good and creative. The toasted s'mores croissant cube also caught my eye, but will have to try that one another time. We appreciate the gluten free offerings as well! We ordered peach pie matcha and an iced chai latte both with almond milk. When we got the matcha, it definitely was made with dairy milk. They were willing to remake quickly. The chai latte was alright. Felt watered down quite a bit so will likely try something different next time. A nice place to grab a coffee and catch up! The food others were enjoying looked fabulous!

Glad I tried this spot! It's such a cute space. I got the salted tahini honeycomb latte and it was good but nothing special. I couldn't really taste the tahini

One of the more efficient mamans in the DMV area. Menu is like all the other mamans are decent - something for almost everyone. We went twice during our stay nearby - once for an afternoon pick me up and again for breakfast. The date latte was entirely lacking. I've ordered the same drink in NYC and tasted so much better. The next morning, ordered a flag white, which also turned out to be one of the more disappointing flat whites ever. The tables both inside and outside were filthy. Just unfortunate the mamans in this area can't live up to the experiences in NYC.

We were here for four nights in a nearby hotel came here once for coffee and muffins came back a second time for more pastries. Nice people, very nice environment, next time I'm in town I would definitely consider coming back for more pastries

Beautiful service, indoor decor is cute, and kind service! We came across this place after walking a few miles. It was a wonderful place to rest.

Maman is ambiance was perfect for working remote or on the go. I enjoyed a vanilla latte with a chocolate croissant, even though the latte was lukewarm it was still very good. This place can get busy as it seems like the local hotspot. Prepare for a bit of a wait but the surrounding area and the people are delightful.

I got the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and a regular ice coffee. I also got the banana pudding latte. The sanche was pretty basic and I should've probably ordered the other breakfast sandwich that one looked a little bit better I also had the pistachio tea cake and it was just very dry. Coffee was basic and I don't think it was worth the price the latte was about ten dollars. I just thought the food quality and coffee would be better for the prices they were charging probably just the area but I would see what else is available.

We used their mobile ordering which made pick up super easy before the Nats game. The decor was super cute and there was a lot of cute merchandise and loose leaf tea to purchase as gifts. We tried the salted caramel latte, it was good but pretty basic. Definitely loves the vibes and will be back!

This location of the NY-based cafe is a large one that is near, but not on, the waterfront. There is plenty of opportunity to eat in, but I ordered out. I like that they do salads for breakfast and have clear dietary labeling; most French-ish places don't offer much in the way of vegetarian options. My bowl with quinoa and chickpeas had more sweet potatoes than I expected, but overall an interesting and nutritionally useful mix. Ordering a vegan carrot cake with streusel got me a bit of indulgence, and a hot chocolate with oat milk delivered on flavor but wasn't huge. And in general, you're getting a very New York portion to price ratio. But you can get some good stuff.

Love the ambiance and aesthetic of Maman. The food is also great (pricey but great). Only complaint is that the music is always too loud.

Its warm, clean design makes it quite welcoming for enjoying avocado toast with smoked salmon, which brings one to a place of spiritual oneness. With white walls, natural wood-grain tables and countertops, Toastique's design radiates minimalist, urban style while remaining inviting. Any time I have been there, the wait times have been stress-free, and the queues move quickly. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with their avocado toast with smoked salmon. With a generous portion of smoked salmon on top of avocado mash, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, creating a place of tremendous well-being. The cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of microgreens make for a fully satisfying meal without feeling like you are overdoing it with your life choices. Drink-wise, I always go for cold brew and the cold brew never lets me down there. Last time, they had a peanut-butter cold brew and a black cherry one, both of which were magical. This Toastique delivers every time.

We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.

We split the DL's Egg Drop (the bulgogi breakfast sandwich) and the Hatch Green Chili sandwich. Both were well executed. The bulgogi brought some real depth to what could have easily been a gimmick, and the hatch green chili edged it out for me personally. The heat was there without being obnoxious, and everything held together the way a good sandwich should. Friends went with the shrimp and grits and had nothing but good things to say. The team behind this place (Scott Drewno and Danny Lee, also of Anju and ChiKo) knows what they're doing, and it shows. The sourcing is thoughtful, the execution is consistent, and the menu has enough going on to warrant repeat visits without feeling like it's trying too hard. Would come back, and would tell others to do the same.

I Egg You is a great little breakfast spot tucked into the Barracks Row neighborhood of Washington,…read moreD.C. I've always enjoyed visiting this area. It's full of interesting shops, great restaurants, and, surprisingly for D.C., relatively easy parking. The food was good. We ordered the bacon and sausage breakfast sandwiches, and both were enjoyable. The sausage sandwich was unnecessarily messy thanks to the crumbled pork, but the flavors were good. Nothing extraordinary, just a satisfying breakfast. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which I'd rate a 7 out of 10. It had a nice amount of spice and a respectable flavor, but something was missing that would have made it memorable. I'd order it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The restaurant itself is straightforward and understated. The interior is clean, simple, and without unnecessary frills. It's a comfortable space that lets the food do most of the talking. Unfortunately, the service was the weakest part of the experience. I arrived around 9 a.m. on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but far from packed, with plenty of available seating. I took a seat at the bar, where the bartender promptly greeted me and handed me a menu. I immediately told him what I wanted to eat and ordered a Bloody Mary. Then I waited. And waited. Nearly ten minutes passed before I saw my drink, despite watching the bartender prepare and serve drinks to customers who had arrived after me. There was no explanation or acknowledgment of the delay. It wasn't a catastrophic service failure, but it was frustrating, particularly given how quickly the interaction started and how manageable the crowd appeared to be. That's ultimately what holds I Egg You back. The food is worth trying, the neighborhood is enjoyable, and the restaurant has a pleasant simplicity about it. But the service, at least during my visit, was noticeably slow and lacked the attentiveness that makes dining out enjoyable. Would I eat here again? Absolutely. Would I choose to dine in again? That's a harder sell. I Egg You makes a good breakfast sandwich. I'm just not convinced the dining experience adds much to it. Next time, I might take the food to go.

I ordered the chimichurri steak plate and really enjoyed it. Funnily enough, the chimichurri itself was the least enjoyable item. I didn't love the texture of it (much too coarse) but, fortunately, it was packaged in a small container separate instead of on the steak itself. The salad probably had a bit too much dressing but I had the option to order that on the side so that's on me. Nonetheless, the steak, potatoes, salad, corn, avocado were all excellent. I also added chips, a lemon zest cookie, and a blueberry breeze handcrafted drink. The cookie is big and chewy, unlike others I have had. It's definitely not something to eat in one sitting. The drink was a little blah and nothing I would order again. All in all, very good!

A delicious bowl. My partner got the Baja bowl (dressing on the side), which they also enjoyed. We were each surprised how big and how filling the bowls were. We ordered a side of hummus ($7.79). It was a nice portion with pita bread, but the hummus was kind of "meh." Texture was good but not much flavor. A disappointment. The beverage bar has an interesting variety of self-serve drinks, including unsweetened tea, tea with pineapple, a mango drink and a drink with a kale base. I tried several of them and mixed some together. It was $4. Worth a try. The place was not crowded when we were there and it's comfortable. Nice upbeat music playing not-too-loudly in the background.
