They don't boast of bottomless mimosas, fancy guest chefs, or ingredients from the corners of the world; but what the offer is straight-forward delicious homemade dishes with that family friendly type of service. The staff is attentive and "Mama" is always around to greet and help the guests. I'm a sucker for their omelette specials which is always accompanied with their "union spuds." These things are the most delicious home fries I've had, and I'm always craving more! They also have a wide variety of beer, wine, and ciders to wash down their giant portions of food. OH MY GOODNESS!! We are SO happy we found Mama Lor's!!! A few months ago, I was driving the back roads and passed by this house on the corner of County Line Rd and Old Ridge Rd. Every window had a guest seated and there was a line out the door. In my mind, "in the middle of nowhere", this had to be the only breakfast place around so of course it would be busy. It wasn't until a couple weekends ago that my husband and I stopped for breakfast to see what the hype was. THE HYPE IS REAL!! Mama Lor's has a comfortable environment where you feel like you're at home eating breakfast. The service is great, the food is delicious and the prices are just right. Help yourself to coffee while waiting to be seated (you are charged for the coffee - it's just nice that you can help yourself and not have to wait to be seated and tended to) and then you take a glance over the menu before someone is standing by your side, ready to fill your belly. Our first time in (yes, we've gone a couple times already since our first visit just a couple weeks ago), I ordered the Hawaiian omelette with sourdough bread. It was SO good. Delicious. Other visits have included blueberry ricotta pancake, western skillet, corned beef hash omelette, 2 eggs with corned beef hash...all of that was amazing. They are following Vivid 19 requirements, the staff was friendly. Service was good. I liked how my tea came but the water should of been hot. The honey was very tasty in the tea! I order the Florentine eggs Benedict. Nice presentation, food was not hot enough for my liking, but hot enough to eat. The spinach was fresh! The egg could of been less cooked to be poached but the yolk was still funny. They deep fry and home fry there potato, that I loved. Very tasty potato. They call them spuds. Not sure they were deep fried cut potato but they had a nice texture and a nice crunch. I did not care for there muffin, it was like I was eating bread under the eggs and not a muffin. I would have them make it crispy for me to enjoy it. I just removed the muffin and ate it on my potatoes!. One last thing is I would of liked more hollandaise sauce on mine. It is a good size place and clean. Tucked away from the main road of 104 and on ridge rd. I would like to go back for dinner when I have more time to spend there. Went here for brunch with a friend. We were seated right away. There were options to sit indoor-- and that's what we chose because it was so hot outside. They complied with COVID-6 foot distancing between customers. The service was phenomenal as the servers were very attentive and got our orders correct., The food was cooked perfectly. Food was very good but the bartender (bubba) was a jerk who needs a hairnet for his head. I ordered a burger and half way through it I asked him for a little of hot meat sauce on the side. He went over to his bar computer and said that will be extra! I said what and that other burgers on your menu come with it and that even Bill Grays doesn't charge for it! I continued with out him even acknowledging me, and said if your going to charge me for it I don't want it. He said well someone had to make it and they need to get paid and walked away. He came back several minutes later with a CUP of hot sauce! I thought cool! I used a tablespoon of it on my half of burger I had left. Ready to leave got the check and he charged me $4 !! Not 50 cents or a $1. 4 DOLLARS! I could have bought a pound of fatty hamburger and added some hot sauce myself. I didn't need a cup of it! He argued more with me and he said someone had to make it. Breakfast: 104 pothole which was a skillet of eggs biscuits and sausage gravy with extra sausage. Crowd favorite which is homemade pastrami thick cut!!!!! Juicy and flavorful with Swiss, eggs, hollandaise on rye. Fish fry cooked to dark brown caramelized perfection. Sides? Mac and cheese, homemade mashed pot, homemade slaw. Dinnwr: Prime rib perfectly cooked, great side choices and very reasonably prices. This place will become my second home. So much pride in their food production. Awesome attentive service, even during a pandemic. The wait staff seem to actually like working here! I've been here several times for breakfast. What I enjoy about this restaurant is their specials. They are wonderful surprises. For example, I've had their lemon pancakes which were delicious. They also had French toast as a special and I enjoyed that item. I do recommend having the other pancakes on the menu if you're not interested in any other specials. The customer service is excellent and the place is clean and rather large. There's also outdoor seating available. I have been to Mama Lor's many times and it never disappoints. The restaurant doesn't look like a restaurant because it is located on a tight corner and it looks like a house. Staff are always friendly and attentative. They aren't afraid to give you a lot of food. For breakfast I have gotten several omelets and loved them all. Always comes with potatoes and toast. Wanted to give a shout out to manager, Jamie, who did a nice job correcting a small snafu that delayed the arrival of our dinner. A new employee made a mistake in the kitchen which delayed our dinner. I could forgive the learning curve...Jamie explained the situation and offered to correct it by offering us a free dessert. What a class act! Jamie was friendly and attentive to not only us but other customers as well. We appreciate the professionalism she displayed in correcting the issue. We are regular customers and enjoyed our dinner once it arrived: a craft burger and the Grilled Garlic Tuscan Chicken; both were excellent. The lemon blueberry cake dessert was excellent as well. Today, I drove from Churchville to meet my cousin, who drove from Oswego, so we could have brunch together. We decided to meet at Mama Lor's Cafe. She arrived at the restaurant at 9AM and sat at an outside table; waiting for me to arrive. The table was just outside of the covered area of the restaurant's "outside seating area". She was ignored for the entire 20 minutes it took for me to get there... She eben asked a waitress if someone was going to help her, and wasn't given any clear answer, so she just continued to wait for me. When I finally got there, my cousin went in to use the ladies room, she was surprised that there was a bunch of people, inside, waiting for tables. She came back out, and asked me if I wanted to wait for a table, or leave... the food sounded good, so we decided to wait, and got our names on the "list". When she came back outside from getting our names on the list, she told me that the hostess said we couldn't sit at the [empty] table (where we'd been at already for 45+ minutes) because they might have to seat people there who had been waiting (and on the list already). The hostess said that they had been waiting to seat people because they wasn't enough silverware. Not 5 minutes later, with plenty of empty tables in the covered outside seating area, the hostess came out and told me I had to give up the table (at which I had been sitting for all that time) for the new people to be seated. She apologized to them --- but not to me--- as if she was embarrassed that someone was in their seats. Three things make me not want to go there ever again: 1. The waitress my cousin spoke to in the first place did not mention the list inside. Had she done that, everything would have been as it should have. 2. The waitress/hostess should not have dismissed me as a customer, and should have apologized to me as well as to the others. 3. Not enough silverware? what? You're a restaurant, have enough place settings for the number of seats you have in the store. I don't care how good the food might have been, they failed at their task of making a customer feel welcomed and appreciated. read more

Wowza! Mama Lor's is totally worth making the drive out the 104 for brunch. It was a packed house when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, with the front room full of customers waiting for tables. We flagged down the bar manager and ordered some Tripphammer IPAs to sip on while we waited to be seated. Mama Lor's has a line up of 10 local/NYS beers on tap, which feels kind of like an afterthought, but we appreciated it none the less. There was also a serve-your-own coffee station in the waiting area, a nice little detail! We were seated about 20 minutes later and received prompt attention from our server who brought us waters and a refill on beer . We mulled over the menu-- a mix of traditional and more unique omelettes, skillets, and breakfast combos-- and decided on the Bum's omelet special and the 1-2-3 combo. The food arrived quickly and we couldn't have been more pleased. The Bum's Plate was a garbage plate omelet, with home fried potatoes, meat sauce, and Mac salad. In a word: awesome! The 1-2-3 consisted of one special-of-the-day cinnamon roll pancake, two eggs over-medium, and 3 slices of bacon. I have quite a sweet tooth, but usually steer towards savory dishes for breakfast. However, this cinnamon roll pancake, covered in a gooey cinnamon sauce and cream cheese frosting, was out of this world. A crack-like pancake; I didn't want to leave one bite on the plate. Mama Lor herself stopped by our table mid-rush to welcome us. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and will definitely stop back to try their lunch/dinner specials in the future! read more

I took my son here for his birthday dinner because he loves Chicken French but this was terrible! My mom had it too and it was watery, no flavor, no butter, no garlic, no lemon, just plain broth. The chicken was tiny and pale, portion was very small. They both had to keep adding salt so it would taste like something. It was edible but not enjoyable and ruined our birthday dinner. Went there for breakfast and was impressed. When parking, we were sure we were in for a wait as the lot was full and the lot across the street was being used. Pleasantly surprised when we were seated immediately. They have a huge space - 2 wings off the main room and a huge covered outdoor area. Our waitress came over as soon as we were seated and took our drink orders. My cup of coffee was huge! I love this as the normal size cups get empty far too fast and generally not filled fast enough. My wife and I both got omelettes, but the menu selection is huge with quite a few unique items (my omelette was filled with Cincinnati chili for example) and it was quite difficult to pick just one thing to try. Stopped in here for breakfast after yoga and on the way to hike in the Whiting Road Nature Preserve back when fall was in full swing. My friend had been here before and liked the place and when I realized it was kind of close to where we would be, I suggested it. When we arrived, around 9:30 am on a Sunday, the place was mobbed with a half-hour wait, a full waiting area, and barely any place to park. We decided to wait because, as I mentioned above, my friends previous experience had been positive, plus we were starving after yoga (And, in this part of Webster, options are thin.) We were eventually seated at a table for 2 and given menus, and then.... abandoned. The waitress was obviously very busy and seemed to sail past us several times with empty plates or full plates, but never empty handed to take our order. This actually gave us time to get even hungrier (and for me, slightly 'hangry'), which resulted in making all the average breakfast options seem that much more appealing. When the waitress finally came to take our order, with carbs on my mind, I got the loaded potato pancakes with apple sauce, sour cream and bacon and cheese, plus a poached egg on the side. It was good, but not the best potato pancakes I ever had. Not exactly sure why - I guess I wanted them to be crispier....but maybe it was the cheese that made them kind of soggy? They were also really salty (maybe from the bacon?) and desperately needed both the apple sauce and sour cream to temper the salt. I probably would not travel out there to eat there again, and would not recommend the potato pancakes, unless you got an order to split with others while you ate a more rounded 'regular' breakfast. read more

While killing time on a trek through Webster, I made my way to Mama Lor's. I saw the reviews, and boy, were these folks right. The food was awesome, flavorful, and hearty with an endless menu and lots of locals enjoying themselves. There's a hint of a southern vibe with some items on the menu like beer-battered fried pickles and fried tomatoes... and my favorite breakfast of all time... biscuits & gravy! YUM. Plus, patty melts and so many deliciously topped burgers. My last visit, I was feeling bold and tried the Canadian Burger with the sweet potato tots. I could live off those tots! Sweet and salty, perfectly crispy, oh my, better than the fry variety. A bite of heaven. The burger came topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, mozzarella, Russian dressing, and Canadian bacon. The bun was toasted, which I always enjoy as it gives some substance to the sandwich, which was just under $9. The tots were a couple bucks upcharge since the specialty burgers normally just come with potato chips & a pickle. They serve breakfast 'til 2pm and have a comfortable, homey vibe. I think mama was there too mingling with the crowd and serving folks at the bar where the tvs are located. Wish this was a closer spot for breakfast & lunch because it was gooooood! I just wrote a fucking review and it disappeared on me this is bs. Anyways I'll write it again, I was here a few years ago and the food since then has downgraded substantially. I don't know what changed since then but , what a downgrade lady's and gentlemen. I ordered the steak and eggs, I ordered my steak medium rare and my eggs over easy. I'm not sure what's so hard about cooking a steak but apparently lots of people struggle with it. My steak was very clearly a medium, not medium rare. Before I get into my eggs I'll state that I'm quite a fast eater. That being said my eggs ... my fucking eggs. The first egg I dug into was luke warm, by the time I got to the second egg it was cold. Idk about anybody else but for me cold runny yolk is not the vibe. The potatoes were probably the best part even tho they had no seasoning but had a decent crisp to them. On another note, my buddy got the crispy fried chicken sandwich... easily the saddest piece of fried chicken I have ever sank my teeth into. The breading tasted like flour and nothing else, no seasoning no nothing to it. The chicken itself also had no seasoning. That sandwich might have been the most disappointing thing that was brought to the table. I also indulged in the biscuits and gravy, which wasn't the worst, but once again no seasoning no kind of spices in the gravy. Also that sausage gravy was the runniest breakfast gravy I've had in my life. Don't get me wrong it wasn't like watery but definitely not a thick sausage gravy that'll stick to your insides. My girlfriend ordered the special French toast of the day which was a strawberry walnut French toast. To our utter disappointment it was one regular piece of French toast topped with that strawberry syrup and a walnut butter. The service was decent, nothing spectacular about it. All together if you have bland, regular old, sad taste buds I recommend this detrimental restaurant to you. read more
