Went there yesterday for the first time to this country style restaurant and have to tell u wont be the last . I had "Real Brisket" and smoked ribs with sweet pot tots .Bob the owner came to greet us and made sure we loved the food we ordered. The server lady was extremely nice to us she was wearing glasses but somehow I forgot her name . Now I know where to send the ppl who rave for Brisket and ribs Thanks a lot for the experience

The dining room is cozy and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Our server heard it was our first time and she gave us a side sampler to try, featuring most of the sides on the menu. We loved this detail. We were also impressed when the owner came out to greet us and tell us about the process for making the wings. The staff was attentive and made us feel at home. We loved the special for Wednesday, which was 75 cent wings and buy one get one free domestic beers (can or tap). This allowed uto have a very affordable date night. The food was excellent. You can choose to have wings deep fried or charbroiled. I love the crispiness of the charbroiled option. Great variety of bold wing flavors. Bbq and hot are my favorite.

Big place with a fun picnic look, classic looking bbq motif. Server was so sweet and welcomed us to their family. The samples of sides was such a good move on their part. Mashed potatoes and collared greens were incredible!! Mac n cheese was a bit dry for my liking. Nice spot if you're craving bbq and want to treat yourself to a more pricey meal. Fun place for my Husbands birthday dinner! We didn't tell our server it was his birthday until the end and she said we should've told her in the beginning because they give birthday nachos or a dessert!

I'm having a hard time to review this place. There are 3 doors to enter his place, none of them are marked. I ended up coming in the patio door, but they thought we were leaving and wished us a good night. Got that straightened out and got a table in about 5 minutes. This was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and the place was fairly busy. Everything was clean, lots of tables and space. Minimum decorations, which is fine. Server was prompt, friendly, and helpful. She got our drinks quickly. $4.29 for an iced tea, ouch, I would've skipped it. She brought out cornbread with cinnamon butter. I'm not a fan of corn bread, but this was amazingly good! Oh so so good. Our meals came out within 15 minutes. My brisket was warm, very tender and had a very nice Smokey flavor. My fiends prime rib, he had no comment. He ate most of it. Honestly from my my view, it looked pretty sad. The sides: Mac and cheese was good, better than most places. The applesauce was from a jar, blah. The beans were barely warm and from a can, blah. The sauces on the table were not very good. The "gold" was absolutely horrible. It was like mustard powder in vinegar. The regular and sweet had a very strong vinegar taste, even if was a vinegar based sauce. Overall, I would eat here again and sample more of the menu, but only if I was in the area. I would've rated higher but the sauces and sides really knocked it down.

Went to Heintzelmann's on Saturday because we heard great things about their Saturday special: Prime Rib, and it did not disappoint. Went around 6pm they close at 8pm on Saturday. We were sat right away by the hostess. Not a fancy joint. Simple red checkered table clothes. Big booths with high backs so you have some privacy. Our waitress brought us waters and we did a glass of the red wine. She also brought us some delicious cornbread and cinnamon butter right when she greeted us. tasted amazing. Since it was our first time she also brought us a sampler of the sides. She said they like to do that for all new customers and we loved it because we got to try the sides before we ordered. (Nothing was bad). We ordered the prime rib in 8oz medium rare and 16oz. Medium. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Collard greens. Macaroni and cheese. Also came with choice of soup or salad which we both had salad. They make homemade cornbread croutons which add a sweetness to the salad that were delicious. Service was amazing. This place is an underrated gem. A bit of a drive to Ontario but wellllll worth it! Very casual establishment which was nice. Also the chef came out to ask how everything was and did some rounds which I really loved the personalized touch and we will definitely be back!

Ribs, brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and Mac salad. Very good.

Year and a half later I stopped and once again, food was great and Michelle was very friendly and fast.

This place is just a little bit out-of-the-way but worth a trip. We arrived 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon and were the only ones in the place, though they did have a steady stream of takeouts. We were immediately gifted with cornbread and maple butter. Both perfectly delicious. Service is terrific with very attentive, wait staff. We were offered a tray of tastings of all the sides since we were first timers. Who would refuse that? Every side was just delicious which made it really difficult to pick the two sides to go with my ribs. So I did what any sensible person would do, and ordered french fries as a starter. I eventually landed on the macaroni salad and coleslaw. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender and despite ordering only a third of a rack I wound up only eating half and taking the rest home. Cold, beer and wine are available and there are several desserts listed on the board. This place is better right now and and there are patriotic themes throughout. This was a great little find.

Owners message because I said I do not recommend his bbq

Very expensive and average at best. 18% charge for take out. Owner has anger issues. Not recommended unless it's free, and I might pass then as well. Really miss bad to the bone!

Great food and service. You get a lot of food. The only thing the 8 oz prime rib is very thin. I expected it to be thick

I'm from Connecticut (Best pizza you'll ever have is in New Haven!) where *everything* is super expensive, and this was REDICULOUSLY priced even by my standards. I. The Pizza Medium is only 12 inches, a few toppings, $27!! 1. ZERO flavor to the sauce 2. We *specifically* asked & were told the basil is "fresh", but as you can see it's DRIED basil and cost $2 as a "topping" 3. Eggplant was chewy, clearly the same they use for Eggplant parm and not cooked enough or not properly soaked/prepared 4. Tomatoes were lackluster 5. Mushrooms were fresh but again not adequately cooked, still partially raw 6. Crust was ok, at least it wasn't burnt 7. Even my SUPER NOT PICKY 16yo teen said it was "gross" ... obviously, we know to have lower expectations outside of the NYC/ CT area .... but if I'm going to pay a lot, it better taste delicious! II. Garlic Bread The most AWEFUL garlic bread I've ever had! 1. "Butter" was SUPER greasy and obv margarine or some other man-made *substance* 2. Cheese was rubbery (even when we ate it fresh from the restaurant).

I have ordered two different omelettes on two different occasions now: an egg white with spinach and mushroom and a meat lovers. Both were quite overcooked and the meat lovers seemed like a thin sheet of egg that they filled with toppings later on like a crepe. Additionally the meat lovers side of rye toast was obviously burnt but still served to me, I just ate around it for a few bites and gave up. My husband ordered fish and chips the first time - I thought the batter was tasty and enjoyed it though I think the filleting of the actual fish could have been a lot cleaner. This item is the only reason my review is not a one star, I thought it tasted good. The second time he ordered clam chowder and a salad that had chicken, fruit, nuts. The salad was fine nothing wrong but not a stand out either it seemed similar to something I'd get as a salad kit from the store. The clam chowder though was awful, so thick and gelatinous it seemed like it was canned which is already a red flag but one of those canned soups that you're supposed to add water to and like they forgot to do that part. On top of being weirdly thick it was also cold you can tell they didn't heat it thoroughly whether that was in a microwave or not though I can't really tell. I truly don't understand the hype or reviews for this restaurant given we've tried multiple items and for the most part fell flat with the sole exception of the fried fish. I was disappointed given the expectation from other reviews and unfortunately we won't be back for a third try.

The food is always overcooked, the flavors are subpar, the skimp out on the meat on their subs and nothing is EVER the quality of any of the other locations in the Greater Rochester Area. We eventually just stopped ordering from this location. I do have to say that the two times I had MAJOR issues with the Ontario location, Sam has contacted me and has been amazing in handling those issues. The rest of the time, I just didn't bother complaining. Thankfully the Walworth location opened back up. However, I am finally writing a public review because one of the drivers for this location nearly hit me and my family head on yesterday (4/12/18) shortly after 6 pm. My husband was driving myself and our two young children to dinner and grocery shopping and this driver suddenly swerved into our lane and we could see him clearly not looking where he was going (my husband says he appeared to be reading something). He ONLY looked up when my husband laid on the horn. He only VERY BARELY missed colliding with us head-on and we are extremely lucky that he finally responded to the honking - there was really nowhere safe for my husband to evasively maneuver out of harms way if he hadn't. I don't know what is with this location, but they way too many issues to bother dealing with them. If you're in my area, go to Walworth if you can. Or better yet, go patronize a small, non-chain store.
