This place is super cute! So many flavors of marshmallows. Staff was super friendly and took the time to explain the flavors etc with us. Store has a small seating area. We got the Peanut Butter Cup S'mores and the Unicorn Smores. The PB Cup was good. My daughter got the unicorn one because of the colors and the name. The unicorn one was super sweet. The cup they use for the s'mores is harder than I'd like, which makes it difficult to eat. S'mores was $5.95. Free marshmallow pop with check in. read more

Decided to have a girls dessert day out today...I am so happy this place was on our list places to stop. This was my first time here. From the moment you step foot in the establishment, you are greeted by the folks behind the counter. Although when we arrived there wasn't a line, I could see how there could be a wait. Since it was my first visit, the individual behind the counter took a few minutes to explain the process to me. I looked at the menu...since I love mint...I was excited to see they had something called the grasshopper. So when it was my turn to order. I asked how most people get the grasshopper, the girl helping me suggested getting it sandwiched between two cookies so I went with her recommendation...it was a great suggestion. I live in North Phoenix although this was a 30 minute trek, I would come back if I was in the area. read more

Can't wait for cookie butter shake to come back. It my absolute favorite!! I noticed some reviews said it can be too sweet. If I'm having one of those days (I don't have many) I've learned to drink the shake first and save the fluff for later. This help break up some of the sweetness, plus it's a sweet treat for later that night. read more

I wanted to like this, I really really did. I got a s'mores bowl and the Graham cracker bowl was hard and a bit burnt. We took home 2 boxes of marshmallows, one of them was a vanilla/chocolate split one and when I put it in the oven to toast, it melted rather than fluffed up. I've made homemade marshmallows before and it feels like they're missing something because there's a strange tartness to theirs. read more

We were looking for a dessert place and found the Toasted Mallow on Yelp. What a wonderful dessert experience. Friendly and helpful service and a great selection of cupcakes, s'mores and shakes. My husband got a cupcake, I had a candy cane shake and our son had a peanut butter and chocolate shake. The presentation was on point. Both shakes had a toasted marshmallow on a stick and mine was heart shaped. Can't wait to visit again the next time we are in town. I would also like to mention that I am gluten free and the staff went out of their way to make sure that what I was ordering didn't contain any gluten. read more

I've been coming to Toasted Mallow for almost two years now. I've never had a bad experience, if your looking for gourmet s'mores look no further. The shop itself is super cute. And the desserts all taste amazing. My favorite drink is the lava flow drink, it's a special made frozen lemonade that I've never had elsewhere. If your not in the mood for a frozen coffee or frozen drink, then try one of their marshmallow pops if your in the mood for something small. If your really craving something sweet get their gram cracker bowl or cookie sandwich. You get choice of how toasted you want your marshmallow and create your own s'mores dessert with their many different choices of toppings and icing to put onto your creation. Toasted Mallow is family owned and the owner Trisha who I've met a few times now is super friendly and absolutely amazing to her customers. Her and the toasted mallow family are there to make your marshmallow experience the best! Come check this place out if you haven't yet. I always look forward to coming here and I always leave a "Happy Mallow" read more

I've seen Toasted Mallow products at many locations like Sweet Daddy Cupcakes, Peixoto Coffee and Soda Rush and all over social media. I finally had the opportunity to check out their main store in Gilbert. Formally called Fluff It Marshmallows, Toasted Mallow has been serving handcrafted gourmet flavored marshmallow squares and S'mores bars since 2014. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go! I'll be honest, I've never been a huge marshmallow fan, but they make some really good gourmet marshmallows here. They have several flavors to choose from. Toasted Mallow also has rice crispie bars, jars of marshmallow whip and cookie dough that you can purchase. I stopped in their cafe and ordered one of their delicious gourmet S'mores. It's fun to watch them toast the marshmallows right in front of you. They have several creations to choose from and I went for all Peanut Butter. They also have a nice little cafe area where you can order coffee products and shakes. During Shark Week, I ordered their fun Shark Attack drink that resembled an ocean with blood. They have lots of themed products that go along with the season and holidays. Their website has an easy online ordering section for regular and custom orders. If you are into gifts, they have t-shirts, hats and recipe books. read more

Was in the area for lunch and even though I was already beyond full, I could not pass up the opportunity to visit Toasted Mallow for a Unicorn Milkshake. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love anything cotton candy flavored. The young man helping me was so welcoming. While he made my shake, I browsed the shop and chose two of the marshmallow fluffs I have seen them making on their Instagram. My milkshake was beyond amazing and I was even given a salted caramel mallow bar to try by the owner. I love the passion she has for not only her business, but the small business community and supporting others. As much as I wish they were closer to my house, it makes the journey a little more special when I do get to stop in. read more

Love this place! I had the s'mores bowl. The marshmallows are so fluffy and delicious! I wish they were toasted a little more so that the inside was melty and not cold but I still keep coming back. Came back a second time! Thursday night just before closing. Yes we were THOSE people our exchange students were at ASU late for graduation but loved marshmallows and we wanted to treat them for their last night. The staff was so friendly and understanding and didn't give us a hard time at all even though we were finishing up after closing. I had the Cookie Monster. The marshmallow was AMAZING! They really took their time this time to toast it perfectly just they way I like it. The cookies however were hard so it was really hard to eat with a plastic fork and impossible to eat with your hands. I basically just ate the marshmallow. I wish the cookies were softer! Everyone else in our party really liked their desserts. The s'moreo is what I will be ordering next time! read more

After viewing all of the pictures and reading the wonderful reviews I decided to drive over and give it a try when I was on a business trip in Arizona. The place had many happy customers when I arrived and I was immediately greeted by the woman behind the counter. Everything looked so good, and I finally decided on the frozen hot chocolate. It was so delicious! Perfectly chocolatey and creamy. It was topped with a whipped cream-looking blended marshmallow and on top it had a toasted marshmallow. The toasted marshmallow was toasted perfectly and very yummy. The frozen hot chocolate milkshake was absolutely delicious and I would recommend this, and already have! I will be back! read more

My husband and I stopped here for a sweet treat. We purchased salted caramel and amaretto flavored marshmallows in a pre-boxed four pack. When I checked in on Yelp, we were able to get a free marshmallow pop. We really liked the boxed marshmallows and ate them at home with hot cocoa and as a s'mores. I gave the marshmallow pop to my sister-in-law, who liked it. They have a wide variety of marshmallow treats and I'd like to come back and try something else. Went here for a little dessert after dinner. They have a wide variety of s'mores bowls and marshmallow pops. The s'mores bowl is good, not quite the same as a traditional s'more. One highlight about this place is they have an abundance of wet napkins for you to use which is MUCH appreciated. I was so excited to try this place out after seeing an ad on social media and we were willing to drive 25 min just to try out a marshmallow. We bought 6 fairly small marshmallows for almost $11 and you couldn't even pick and choose which 6 you wanted. They come pre packaged with only one flavor. We tried the cotton candy flavor and not one of us liked it. Had very little flavor and the flavor it did have didn't taste like cotton candy. The texture was amazing though but everything else was a let down. read more

If you want a warm gourmet, homemade marshmallow you have to come to The Toasted Mallow. Their marshmallows are simply to die for, plus you can customize what you'd like on top! Want a crashed candy or a chocolate ganache drizzle? They've got you covered! If you're looking for a simple marshmallow to take home for the family, they have four packs of some of their more simple flavors like a cinnamon churro, chocolate, or birthday cake. They also serve fantastic drinks and right now I'm sipping on a frozen chai. My favorite part about it is that they don't put whipped cream on top it is actually marshmallow fluff. 10/10 service, food, and fun! read more

My husband asked why I was so intrigued by this place since I've never really been much of a s'mores fan. My response- because it's always so BUSY! Long and short, we decided to take a trip here to satisfy my curiosity. Oh. My. GOODNESS!! Who knew a s'mores could taste so good?!? I modified one of their options, with the help of one of their employees. The final product was DELICIOUS!! I had a coconut marshmallow toasted medium between 2 chocolate chip cookies, with chocolate ganache and sprinkled with coconut. Sorry, no pix because I was busy gobbling it up. My tummy now hurts from this huge dose of deliciousness...but I NOT repent. It's totally worth the discomfort. Now... I hope I fit in my shorts tomorrow read more

Specialties

Once known as Toasted Mallow we are a dessert shop that has reinvented an american classic, the marshmallow! We specialize in giving you the BIGGEST and FLUFFIEST best tasting gourmet marshmallows around. Our Dessert Shop has a full S'mores Bar where you choose a s'mores off the menu and we build and toast it right there on the spot, packaged flavored marshmallows, marshmallow pops, freshly made cupcakes and delicious milkshakes using blue bell ice cream!

History

Established in 2013.

We started making our gourmet marshmallows from a home kitchen for friends and family. Soon our marshmallows were in demand so in August 2013 we ran a successful Kickstarter campaign (online fundraising website) and doubled our goal! This gave us the funds we needed to start an online store, stat shipping across the USA and reach our local community at various farmers markets in Arizona. After a few months, local news and magazines started publishing our gourmet marshmallows and pretty soon we had to find a location. We are now operating a small location in Gilbert AZ and hope to expand in the near future. We still offer our marshmallows online for shipping but now we also offer America's 1st and only operating S'mores Bar and shop fully dedicated to everybody's favorite treat, the marshmallow!

Meet the Business Owner: Tricia M.

Tricia has always loved local small owned coffee and bakery shops. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico she frequented a local shop that offered a bounty of sweets with a great cup of joe. Customers lined up and hung out to read, do homework, socialize or just people watch (this was before the internet!) She has always held on to the warm and positive feelings of that local coffee shop and hoped one day she could create her own. Fast forward 15 years, Tricia was challenged by a friendly work competition at her full-time job to create a homemade treat made of marshmallows. Instead of buying marshmallows from the store, she researched how to make a homemade marshmallow. Her attempt although not the prettiest, did win her the competition and started a love affair for these fluffy treats! Tricia's has truly perfected her marshmallow recipe and the business has grown quickly.

I opted for the Ham and cheese croissant, and the sausage croissant. Both breading was fantastic. Good flavor, airy yet crispy, just really well made. I will definitely come back for the ham and cheese croissant. The sausage croissant wasn't really for me (the bread was) it truly is a big sausage in there. It had good flavor, just isn't for me. If they could make just a plain cheese or bacon and cheese that would hit the spot lol We also got their regular cinnamon roll. The breading had a lovely sweet cinnamon flavor and the icing on top had a delicious creamy taste without being overly sweet. The odd part for us was the filling in the inside. I couldn't decide if I cared for it or not, I was almost feeling it was pushing the sweetness over just a bit so l may or may not get that again. Even tho they have seating inside, it feels more like a grab and go. You can def enjoy your item there. But I wouldn't say a spot where you can sit and catch up with a Friend or read a book. It also felt a bit too warm and stuffy so cranking down the AC a bit would help it feel more inviting especially from coming outside from the Arizona heat. The design we discussed and were shown was a spatula-lined, ripple-style cake with a true ombré effect, starting with a rich plum at the bottom and gradually fading through soft shades of purple into white at the top. What we received did not reflect that vision. The cake was a very dark plum throughout, the finish looked uneven, and the ombré effect was not present. My husband immediately noticed that it wasn't what we had asked for, and it was honestly upsetting to see something so different from what we expected. That said, the flavor was absolutely delicious and truly the saving grace. We chose a more unconventional flavor combination of lemon cake with blueberry compote, and it tasted incredible. Many of our guests commented on how good it was. While the cake tasted wonderful, the visual execution did not align with what was requested or shown during the design process. Given how meaningful the wedding cake is as both a focal point and photo moment, this was really disappointing for us. I wish the final design had more closely matched what we had discussed, but I do appreciate the quality of the flavor and baking itself.

Elysian Fields is the most charming European-style artisan bakery, it sells everything from floral shortbreads and Victorian buttermints to handcrafted perfumes distilled from blooms grown in their own garden. But, back to that afternoon tea. Treats made from scratch, a ridiculously wide selection of teas from Mark T. Wendell Tea Company (America's oldest tea house), and everything presented so beautifully. From the food and tea to the gorgeous presentation and impeccable service, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And seriously, the people at the bakery were SO nice. The lady who took my reservation was really friendly, patient with all my questions, and helpful. Once we arrived, everyone we interacted with was really sweet and made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a whimsical afternoon tea where the food actually tastes as good as it looks, this place is an absolute gem. Also, come hungry. My friend and I skipped breakfast and came around lunch time and we still EACH left with two boxes full of leftovers. They are very generous with the food. One more thing - the afternoon tea is not a one-size-fits-all. You get to pick from a bunch of choices what you want to eat, and what tea you want to drink. They also cater to most dietary restrictions (Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Nut-Free) as long as you let them know in advance. By that, I do not mean that they prepare the sandwiches and simply remove the meat if you're a vegetarian like me. I had my very own sandwiches, and they were delicious. Gabriel welcomed us in and took the time to walk us through all the delicious treats they had to offer. His kindness and enthusiasm made the experience even more special. Since it was our first visit, we were treated to complimentary shortbread cookies -- we chose lavender and rose -- and both were absolutely delicious. We ended up taking home a strawberry brownie, the tuxedo cupcake with dark chocolate and buttercream frosting, a vanilla cupcake, and the limoncello cupcake. As I looked around, I couldn't help but think that if I lived there, I'd probably be stopping in daily. The combination of a bakery and coffee house makes it the perfect neighborhood spot. Although I skipped the coffee this visit--it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and I wasn't looking for a caffeine boost--I'll definitely be back to give it a try. For this visit, we focused on the baked goods and sampled four items: the chocolate croissant doughnut, maple croissant doughnut, vanilla doughnut, and a red velvwtcupcake. Every single one was delicious. The croissant doughnuts were wonderfully flaky with just the right amount of sweetness, the vanilla doughnut was soft and flavorful, and the red velvet cupcake was rich and satisfying. It's rare to find a bakery where every item you try is a winner, but this one delivered across the board. Whatever else happened during that visit, those cookies were a VERY good introduction to the bakery. I have not actually been into Rise Up Bakery myself, so this review is based entirely on the delightful and delectable cookies I got to try. There was a sugar cookie, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, M&M, and several others. I started by pinching off a little piece of one, then another, and then another. Before long I felt like such a little piggy because I had sampled nearly every cookie in the box. The problem was that every time I tried a new one, it was just as good, if not better, than the one before it. I kept thinking I had found my favorite, only to change my mind with the next bite. And these cookies were BIG hoggers too, probably around 6 inches across. These are not little dainty cookies you mindlessly nibble on. They have some size to them, and thankfully the flavor matches. So while I can't review the bakery itself, the atmosphere, or the service just yet, I can absolutely review the cookies. Based on those alone, Rise Up Bakery has definitely gotten my attention. Four stars for now, and mostly because I feel like I need to actually visit the bakery before handing over the fifth.

This place brings my favorite childhood treat back to life!! When you first walk in, the space is small but decorated beautifully. To the right you are greeted by gourmet marshmallow treats for on the go. Straight ahead you are welcomed to a s'more making bar. Except you don't have to worry about burning yourself. At the s'more making bar you can choose from their giant list of gourmet marshmallow concoctions. I ordered the peanut butter cup and my fiance ordered the Elvis. They make it right in front of you and you can take it to go as well. They were absolutely delicious and I loved the homemade graham cracker crust. Great quality! They offer cold brews as well as blended drinks. The mocha has a mix of hot cocoa with espresso. The top has the most amazing marshmallow fluff that is lightly toasted. This drink was delicious though sometimes it took a bit to melt. The customer service is amazing. You can tell they take pride in what they make and can answer all your questions with ease. This was my first visit and it definitely won't be my last. Don't forget to check in for a gourmet pop as well. Now go enjoy a delicious treat made of awesomeness! read more

I will have to come back here to get a better idea of the overall quality. I got one of the shakes...the Bam Bam I think it was. Good idea..taste was ...eh. Its a shake, with Fruity Pebbles mixed in. Sounds awesome yeah? I really wasn't impressed. Way too heavy..and the fruity got lost when you grind up the pebbles. The coffees look really good, so I will probably go with one of those next time. I also like homemade marshmallows, so I may try some. They don't have my fav, a marshmallow with a light dusting of finely ground coconut, ( Think 'Suaves' from Mazatlan, Mexico) but I will find something I like. The sundaes LOOK great, but im sure are WAY too sweet for me. My wife loved hers. It was a hot, gooey mess....kind of like her! HAHAH! The world needs more niche places like this. read more

One word, AMAZING! I tried this place after seeing a video posted on Facebook about it. After realizing that the tasty looking marshmallow treats were made in a place not too far from my work, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in during lunch break. I got the Grasshopper S'More, which the girl helping us recommended. It was fantastic and reminded me of Andes Candies (which I think was the point). My Co-worker got the Snickers S'More and this too also lived up to its recommendation . Both S'mores came with the option of getting your mallow-goodness plopped between two warm delicious cookies or put into a graham cracker bowl (we both opted for the cookies). We'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to see what seasonal flavors they'll offer next!
