The food was great and I loved the vibe of the restaurant , but the service was unfortunately subpar. I sat at the bar to get a drink and dinner after work, but the bartender barely checked on me the whole time. She clearly had an AirPod in and was on the phone literally the entire time I was there. She didn't notice or check in on me after delivering the food; so it went unnoticed that the side of chicken was missing. When I did finally get her attention, she brought out some unseasoned chicken, which I just ate because at this point I was tired of the experience. I tried to get her attention several times, but she had her back to myself & the other guests at the bar while I was there. First of all the service is great! The ambiance is good. I love the colors and the lighting. It could use some decor on the walls for style and also to make the room quieter by absorbing the sound. It is quite loud. The white bean dip is a must order! It has so much flavor with its variety of toppings and it is served with sourdough from a local bakery, Country Bird. This gets extra points from me as I love Cat from Country Bird and their bread is delicious! I could go without the beef carpaccio. The Caesar salad was another must order. One of the best Caesars in Tulsa. The vodka pasta was good, but I wouldn't order again. The bolognese was amazing! Would eat every day! After waiting for about an hour for appetizers, the maitre d' came out and said they were out of the entree three of our group had ordered. He made a suggestion, they accepted it, begrudgingly - they'd ordered pasta! After waiting another hour, we were about to leave when our food appeared. The food was great. The management of the restaurant horrible! The service was so slow it was agonizing - and we all had ordered pasta! Two hours to cook pasta. The drinks took forever. Water took forever. The matire d' was great - he comped the three entrees; he was doing the best he could. Who manages a restaurant? The chef? That person, whoever it is, needs to fix things. Fast. read more

The food and service were excellent. Atmosphere - a bit cramped and pretty loud (it was a Friday night and parking was a little tough to find, as well) Went with 3 friends and we decided to eat "family style" so we could taste as much of the menu as possible. Short version: Everything was solid to excellent. We started with the White bean dip, burrata and prosciutto and pork and beef meatballs. I do not like beans, so I didn't think I would eat the dip but decided to try it and to my great surprise it was my favorite. Delish. The meatballs were very yummy as well. The burrata was good but was nothing special. We then shared a Caesar salad and again - it was just a Caesar - nothing made it stand out. We then got the short rib, tagliatelle Bolognese and tagliolini al burro (almost like an alfredo). The short ribs and polenta was the star - fall off the bone, super tender and the sauce - still makes me drool thinking about it. The tagliolini was delicious - a great real alfredo (ie no cream - just butter and parm) The pasta is freshly made and you can tell - its nice and thin but still has substance and structure. Really good homemade pasta. The Bolognese was nice as well but nothing spectacular. We all shared some ricotta cake because it was our friends bday and they gave her a slice - YUMMY!!! My wife and I tried Malfi for the first time this evening and OMG it was fantastic!! We shared Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Tagliolini as well as the Kale Salad and The Ricotta Cake was our delicious dessert!! Service was excellent and the ambiance is upscale business casual. It was pretty loud from 7:00 pm until about 8:15 pm when the capacity dinner crowd began to dissipate, but it was good because everyone looked to be having a great dining experience! Felt a bit odd coming in since there wasn't significant signage. I had a reservation, and there was nobody at the front to help me or the group in front of me for a few minutes. It is Italian food, but they do it differently than other local places. You will not get bread unless you order it, which is a bit disappointing. We got the white bean dip that honestly wasn't as good as the bread that came with it (that is sourced from a local bakery). For entrees, my wife and I got pasta, and there was a note on the menu that we could add a protein to the pasta, but it didn't say how much it cost. I got one piece of salmon for an $11 up charge, when I was expecting something closer to $5 or maybe $7. It would have been nice for some transparency because I definitely wouldn't have done that. Additionally, our server wasn't very attentive, leaving us running out of water a couple of times, and we had to flag him down once to ask for it. As far as ambience goes, it gets very loud. Not from music, but from how echoey the space is and other people talking. The walls were a bit dirty from where it looked like people's feet rubbed against them, and it felt like there could be much more done to improve the place. The food was pretty good for taste, but being that it was almost $20 for a bowl of pasta, with the add on for protein rivaling the cost of an entire appetizer, I would say it was certainly not worth what we paid. This seems like a trendy place that could use some work. I don't think I'd go out of the way to come back unless I hear of some changes. read more

I visited Malfi last night for dinner with some girlfriends. We all got a glass of wine/cocktail and we split the bean dip and the carpaccio amongst the four of us and both appetizers were fabulous and super flavorful. The bean dip was kind of like an herby and creamy dip similar to hummus and just SO yum. Paired with Country Bird bakery's sourdough bread was . The beef carpaccio was salty and tender and tangy with the lemony arugula. I ordered the bucatini (whipped burrata and pesto) and the other girls ordered the bolognese, we all loved our dishes!
