We were referred to Kona's team by our realtor and had an excellent experience. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient throughout the move. Despite complications with our building elevator, they remained patient and proactive, even taking the initiative to properly pad the elevator themselves. They also assisted with the removal of unwanted furniture and worked diligently to reassemble our bed, which was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend their services and would gladly work with them again in the future. I also wanted to mention that booking was very easy thanks to Jayne. Her communication was professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. read more

I've used other names in the past like, You Move Me, Honolulu Movers, etc. and I'm not sure if I used requested a quote from Mālama Movers before. Honestly, when I saw their very reasonable quote, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Their service was by far, the best. They came with 4-5 men crew when, from the quote, I thought would be two at the most. The workers and owner were friendly and helpful. I offered them cold drinks and they said they had drinks in their van. It's nice to hear that the boss treats them well like that. Very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend. Just keep in mind to be more flexible with your time. But they're totally worth it. Thanks Mālama Moving! read more

Thank you to Isaiah, Ryan, & Leland who helped deliver a few furniture and boxes. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. I've used Malama Moving on two separate occasions, and both times Kirk and his team did a great job wrapping and moving my items. The second time Kirk, Ryan, and Lala moved quickly to get my things out of storage and into my new home. Jayne was really helpful and accommodating in scheduling and re-scheduling the crew when my closing date changed. I don't know what I would've done without Malama Moving. They are truly life-savers! Definitely recommend them! read more

Malama Moving - Moving is much less stressful with Malama Moving Co - Movers Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I know I'm about 10 months late posting this review (LOL), but Malama Moving absolutely deserves one! I just want to extend a huge MAHALO for assisting with our move. The entire process of moving was incredibly stressful-especially when we needed to be out of our previous house within a month (only given less than 2 months notice that our rent was increasing), but your team made things go remarkably smoothly for us. What made us ultimately decide to go with Malama Moving was the flexibility, honesty, and genuine friendliness we experienced speaking to the team over the phone. We also appreciated that you were highly recommended by a friend who had a great experience with your company. On the day of the move, the guys were professional, efficient, and great to work with. Everything went much quicker than we had anticipated. I would absolutely recommend Malama Moving to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free moving experience. Thank you again! read more

Crew was awesome and quick! They moved my items with care and fast service! Would definitely use again!

Thanks Malama moving for helping us get things done. Good timely service! Many Mahalos!!

It's called Malama Moving but they also do junk removal - yay for us! As usual, we got 2-3 quotes, and in the end Malama won our hearts again - especially since we had such a positive experience with them during our move! As he had once before, Avery showed up to view the job in person and Jayne provided a formal quote to our coordinator. We scheduled in short order on a very favorable day and time - through no fault of theirs, we were running out of time to get all this cleanup accomplished! But Kona, Avery, and Isaiah showed up right on time and set about getting the job done! They're very quiet but super efficient and before we knew it we were calling it good. We know it's twice in one month but we just can't say enough good things about Malama! No matter the service you've hired them for, they are professional, provide fair pricing, and just get it done with a minimum of fuss. Their overall calm demeanor helps take what seems like the most stressful day of your year and makes into a manageable one. My coordinator and I couldn't be more grateful for the crew at Malama! read more

I've never written a Yelp review before but felt our movers deserve a shout-out. This is our 5th move within Oahu since 1997 and these guys were the best movers we've had. We had a great experience with Malama Moving. Jane from the office was very warm and helpful on the phone. Albert, Kurt, and Koa helped us move from a very full 2-bedroom condo in Kaimukī to a 3-bedroom condo in ʻAiea, and they were excellent from start to finish. They were professional, efficient, and worked hard the entire time, even with a longer-than-expected day. Everything was handled with care, communication was clear, and the move went smoothly. We really appreciated their positive attitude and teamwork. Highly recommend Malama Moving, and especially this crew! Thanks so much Albert, Koa and Kurt!! read more

I had a great experience with Malama Moving and would recommend them to anyone looking for a local company that's both professional and efficient. From the moment they arrived, all three movers were friendly, respectful, and worked with an impressive pace that never compromised care. I unfortunately didn't get all of their names, but Kona and Isaiah stood out for their positive attitudes and clear communication throughout the move. They handled everything quickly and with aloha--and even went above and beyond by setting up my Sleep Number bed, saving me the time and cost of having Sleep Number send someone out to reinflate it. That alone was a huge help. Their flat rate was competitive, especially for the level of service and professionalism they brought. It's clear they take pride in what they do. Malama Movers really lived up to their name--they moved my home with care. Highly recommend if you're moving on island and want the job done right. read more

This was our second move using Malama movers and they did an awesome job just as I expected from our first time with them. Jane is super nice and helped me set my appointment up. They had all the right equipment and awesome teamwork! If they had questions, they didn't hesitate to ask and answered all of mines. Malama Moving - Sofa that needed moving - Movers Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Had an issue and needed a refrigerator moved up tight stairs into a small condo and needed the old fridge moved down to the garage. Not an easy task. Albert, Kirk and Joe showed up within the hour and absolutely found a way to get the fridge up the stairs and thru the door. Mighty Joe Young, as they called him, was an absolute beast and they killed it. Thanks guys, fantastic work! read more

I have used Malama moving company 5 times now. Jayne is the communications director and handles reservations and dispatch. She is always so kind and genuine and answers any questions. She was even able to pull up a map of the staircase at my new building to where I was moving, in order to ascertain if my couch would fit! My usual guys are Koa, Kirk, Lala, and Albert. They are professional, patient, kind, and skilled. Moving is stressful but these guys helped everything go smoothly. They are so calm and organized, it always gives me a great sense of reassurance and confidence. They showed up early and were patient with getting my cat secured before moving, they put down floor protector mats, they help pack if you have loose ends, etc. They helped me laid out my new carpets and put my bed frame together at the new place, bc it would have been impossible to do on my own. They get stuff done without needing to be micromanaged. They wrap everything that needs to be, in plastic, and always ask if they need confirmation so they never have to move anything twice! The value is excellent. I hired a 4 man crew and it only took a couple hours. These guys never stand around, they work harder than most movers and really take care of the small details too. Mahalo! read more

I hired Malama moving on 10 Oct and was extremely impressed. FIrst, I received quotes from four different companies and Malama was the most affordable. I coordinated the entire evolution via Yelp with the exception of calling to office to put a credit card on file. On the day of the move, everyone was extremely professional and lighting fast. I would definitely recommend Malama Moving to anyone considering a move on the island. A++++++ read more

I had such a great experience with Malama Moving Company! They were incredibly professional, patient, and made the entire process so easy. Even though I'm no longer on Oʻahu, I was able to call them and book everything conveniently over the phone. I mailed them my storage key, and they took care of the rest going to my storage unit, moving out all of my household goods, and delivering everything safely to the Young Brothers dock for shipment. A special shoutout to Kona Fernandez-Pratt he was amazing! Professional, kind, and extremely patient throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful move completely worry-free. Hands down, I would use Malama Moving again and will definitely be requesting Kona for any future moves.
