Great food and outstanding service! We came in on a busy Saturday night. We were seated almost immediately. Throughout the meal, we were impressed with the service. We had a primary server but many other people helped make the dining experience go smoothly. We never sat for more than a few minutes with dirty dishes in front of us. And everyone was friendly and efficient. Now to the food. The highlights were the mussels and the drunken noodles. The mussels were in a delicious coconut and lemongrass broth that was so rich and flavorful. The serving size was enough for 3 people to share as an appetizer. The drunken noodles were rich and savory. The beef was well cooked and had a sweet glaze. Very tasty! The seared Ahi spring rolls were also quite good. The tuna was fresh and the dipping sauces were a great compliment. We also had the Panang curry and the Pad see ew. They were good, but not outstanding. We went into Malai at Luther Lane in Dallas Texas Todau. We typically go to the Southlake Texas location and found out the Taylor Hamilton the Mgr changed locations so we went to visit her in Dallas. The experience in Dalllas was amazing amazing one. The atmosphere was so peaceful and the food was great. What impresses us about Taylor is she is not just a Mgr although she actually pitches in rolls up her sleeves and does what it takes to get the job done. She will take orders, serve water, take orders, at the table, seat you greet you and make you feel welcome. She leads by example We drive from Southlake to see Taylor we enjoy her. So much!!! A loss at Southlake although she will be such a benefit anto the Dallas location!!! We will Miss her but will drive to the Dallas location to see her!!! You have an amazing gem in her!!! Hard worker such An amazing example and definitely a Manager that will bring Malai to the next level when we thought of where we would go for our dinner dates Taylor was part of our decision! Have had some great things but ordered the imperial rolls and chicken pho and both dissappointed. The imperial rolls were delicious but tiny - came in four and felt like the size of my index finger. The chicken pho had chicken that was way overcooked and had almost a bbq flavor as though it was left over from something else. read more

Service is excellent, the space is nice but there was something off about the food. My pho broth tasted off, and the Vietnamese coffee tasted off. I don't know if they're doing something to try to appeal to some sort of wider clientele but I haven't had problems with these food choices in multiple Vietnamese restaurants I frequent. read more

Enjoyed a gravy with sticky rice in a banana leaf, very pacific island. I got a Thia coffe with coconut milk instead if condensed milk and actually liked it better. Accent of cocoanut on top. Thai tacos with shrimp were crispy which was a little Tex Mex, I was expecting corn tortillas but still good flavors. Served with limes and a aioli that was a little mild for "medium." The food here is REALLY good! Everything is made with fresh ingredients and needs no salt/pepper added to it. The flavors are spot on! I had the lamb shank and it was excellent! It was made with the masaman curry. The flavors just blow up in your mouth. The meat was very tender and didn't need to use a knife to cut it. The portion size is huge. I had left overs. The service is ok, but the bar stays busy. I had to ask for refills for my drink a few times. I really love the food here and that's what keeps me going back. I have not had a bad meal here yet. I highly recommend this restaurant. The menu is extensive and every dish that I saw come out to the floor likes amazing! I went about a month ago for a dinner date and we absolutely loved it! Ambiance was nice and perfect for date night setting. I had a fish dish which is one of their known specialties and it was delicious and flavorful as well as cooked perfectly. Drinks were good as well. Only grievance, I went yesterday for takeout and got a yellow chicken curry and a yellow tofu curry and ordered them both "medium" spice. They had absolutely no flavor and furthermore no hint of spice. For quite an expensive curry I did expect more and was disappointed. Hopefully I just got a bad chef that day or they need to clarify their spice levels. I will be going again, but really hope I don't have this issue again. read more

I tried to add seasoning to both dishes but the flavor stayed bland. This is really not Thai/Asian food. Don't know what you would call it. We searched this place out based on a friend's glowing recommendation and they did not exaggerate! This upscale Thai restaurant was amazing without breaking the bank. My husband ordered the yellow curry ($17) and thought the vegetables were especially fresh and the curry sauce itself had delicious spice. No heat with his "mild" request. After reading their "recommendations" blurb in the menu, I had to try one of their specialty seafood dishes. The ruby trout ($25) was an amazing culinary experience! With yellow curry and chopped peanuts on the fish, a flavored jasmine rice (it was green!), and green salad with grapefruit segments, I was very satisfied. But wait, there's more! The atmosphere is very nice, some low lighting to make it more intimate. They have a wine cellar to boot. The drinks that we ordered were on point. One order a jalapeño margarita and it's about time you tasted the spiciness of the jalapeño. I've ordered at differ places but this was the best. Someone else order the Lemongrass drink as well . A few of Pad Thai dishes, a trout dish, drunken noodles with brisket, yellow curry no chicken dish. I am going to start with the drunken noodles dish with brisket was not my choice but I will be ordering that next time I go! It was delicious bite that I had, very flavorful. Onto the Pad Thai with chicken (medium spicy). It was good, but the spiciness wasn't carried thru the entire dish.
