Loved the chic vibes and yummy food at Mako's On the Creek! The ambiance is so nice:) we went on a Sunday & it was quiet, which made it the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing meal. I had the chicken sando and it was so great, and my husband ordered the steak sandwich, which was equally delicious. Everything from the food to the atmosphere made for such a great experience. Definitely a hidden gem for sure!

We visited Makos on the Creek for brunch. They have a minimal brunch menu but the food is wonderful. We opted for the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and they were as delicious as they look, so flavorful and crispy! I had the eggs porky as my entree and it was full of flavor with a variety of layers. The mimosas are an added bonus for brunch with a variety of juice choices which is always nice. The dining area is beautiful with rustic finishes, nice natural light and plenty of seating inside and out. The service was great and they were very accommodating with their recommendations and accommodations for our party. It was a great experience and despite the distance from where I live, I will definately make the trip again.

First time this evening and it was wonderful! From the owners to our server Anne! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!! Good people and delicious food and cocktails!

The food was great! Everything was well seasoned, juicy, and cut perfectly! The Jerk Chicken was crispy as well as the potatoes and carrots with a delicious green sauce on the side. My boyfriend ordered the 14oz Ribeye and loved it! I tried a few pieces myself and it was incredibly juicy with so much flavor. The service was nice, our waitress was friendly and super helpful. The owner actually brought out our food & we were so excited & impressed with his presentation, food, & attention to detail! Awesome guy! The ambiance is perfect! Slightly dim lighting, great selection of wine, spacious seating, and other lively guests made this spot the perfect date night for the two of us.

Yesterday, we had been @adobothrowdown and after the announcement of the winners, it was the end of the event. We decided to head to @makosonthecreek nearby to redeem the $100 gift card. So blessed! Happy hour is everyday from 4pm to 6pm and we made it in time. Selected drinks (including the Margarita and Classic Lime Daiquiri) and the Gouda Ranch Wedge were happy hour items we ordered. The wedge salad was great with egg crumbles and crispy pork belly. My husband had the Watermelon Mint Gazpacho and said it was spicy. I had wanted to try the Deep Fried Spanish Octopus and Seared Diver Scallops. The risotto was uniquely flavored. Dad had the Deep Fried Redfish Collars. This was like a Hamachi Kama and so good. My husband had the Citrus Herb Grilled Chicken, which was moist. Everything was fantastic and we took home leftovers. Unfortunately, no room for dessert. If you're in the Cibolo area, definitely stop by for a wonderful meal!

Between Mako's Texas Industrial ambiance and the friendly staff, you feel right at home as soon as you walk into this understated gem. We enjoyed the scallops and pork shoulder. The scallops were cooked perfectly. However, the mint risotto was not a great fit, and, at times, overpowered the subtle flavor of the scallops. The pork shoulder was seasoned with a mildly spiced rub that complimented the pork well. Our server, Isabel, was delightful. She was friendly, and engaging without being intrusive. I recommend you ask for her when you visit. Mako has a well curated wine list, and an extensive selection of top shelf liquors. Treat yourself... Cheers!

This place is a gem full of flavor, visited on a Sunday 14Jul2024 at around 1130 for brunch, sat at the bar since I was solo, the young bartender was so sweet, attentive, her knowledge and suggestions were on point, she truly enjoy working there and spoke volumes of her boss (owner) he's retired military and he's understanding of his staff. I order the salmon and Oh my good Lord! I don't regret my order. The chef knows how to make a foodie happy. I can't wait to come back! Thank you, Sincerely, Maria C

Never disappointed when we come here for Happy Hour. Bartender, waiter, and owners are very friendly and outgoing.

Pumpkin Cheesecake with fresh cream and shaved Dark Chocolate and swirls of caramel and chocolate. YUMMM!!

A bar type setting with small portion overpriced entrees. More concerned with trendy food presentation than good quality value.

We are bringing two kids to our Mother's Day brunch tomorrow...any off the menu items such as pancakes or waffles being served -something kid friendly?

Honestly I do not recall seeing waffles or pancakes on the menu for Sunday's brunch. I'm sure has professionally run as this place is the could whip up something.

At first glance , I thought the restaurant was absolutely adorable, i love that they repurposed an old home , and they kept a lot of really neat vintage pieces and a look as far as atmosphere goes. I felt it was very welcoming. I also love the fact that you could see the cooks in the kitchen. The service was really great.I don't believe we had an empty glass or ever had to ask for a refill on our drinks. Now for the food! When I tell you it is probably one of the best meals I've had in a while.I am not lying. My chicken was cooked to perfection. The flavor of my dish was absolutely delicious and comforting. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, i don't remember the last time I wanted more cooked carrots on my plate! My friends that join me , really had nothing but great things to say about it. Everybody agreed I picked well! We ordered seared scallops wrapped in bacon for the table, my scallop was so good.I almost didn't want to share. One of my friends also got their crusted fish (not pictured) and the brazed beef dish, ( also not pictured) I would one 100% go again as well as refer this restaurant to anybody who really wanted delicious food.

I easily counted at least 10 flies that we were having to swat away from our food, we were seated inside. S&P on the table was needed and should have been provided without asking. Cornbread should have been offered complimentary. We ordered the cornbread but did not finish it as it had an off taste and some cross contamination in the butter dish. Grilled Shrimp skewer was overcooked and unexpectedly had something like chili powder. Roasted vegetables were bland and needed some seasoning or at least salt. Husband enjoyed the pork chops but side of fries were lacking in crispness and flavor. Pork chops increased the review from one star to two. I had hopes for the bread pudding and it did have good flavor BUT was lacking the key ingredient of rum, burboun, or whiskey. I'm not sure how the reviews are as good as they are or how they stay in business. Do not recommend! The one saving grace was that we came here to use our AMEX Resy benefits, so not much out of pocket.
