Visited BJ's twice the past two weeks and have been told they are out of smash burgers both times. Frustrating.

Can never go wrong with BJ's! Wife and I Stopped in for a late lunch, was seated imminently upon entering the building, love coming here when there isn't a line. Our server took our order drink and returned within a couple minutes. The wife ordered the Top Shelf Margarita and was not disappointed... She even got a Little buzz off of it, glad I was driving. The wife ordered the Mediterranean tacos, she said they were very tasty. I had Ahi Tuna salad, it had the perfect amount of balsamic vinaigrette dressing and little spots of cream wasabi on the side of the plate to add to the tasty tuna. I was impressed! My expectations weren't too high buy I really enjoyed everything we had. After ordering the calamari as our appetizer, the waitress came back to let us know they were out. We tried the fried Mac n cheese balls wotj couscous instead. They were tasty! (Unfortunately, the waitress forgot to remove the calamari charge on the bill. She did once I pointed it out.) The steak salad was really good. It was paired perfectly with Bleu cheese. The garlic sauce with the shrimp was delicious! It was so good with the steak and mashed potatoes too! They lost our reservation. Took hour and a half to get food then another hour to get desert that came with it. Took 3 hours and some in our party started having health problems. My wife and I spent all night sick from food poisoning. We don't like bj's because when we went to the new Braunfels location last they had been closed by the health department and had an exterminator treating a roach infestation. Today we had BJ's catered for lunch at a work event and overall it was really great! We were able to place our orders very easily ahead of time and everything came as it was supposed to. I ordered the Sal's brew house chicken which came with asparagus and mashed potatoes and had a creamy lemon sauce on everything. It was pretty good and probably would have been even better if I were to have eaten it at the restaurant. My meal also came with a very large side salad and cookie and both were great. my wife and i visited this location for the first time, all was good until our server ,Sydney, started taking our order. i asked to build a burger and she told me that she couldn't do that and i had to pick a preexisting burger. as if she doesn't have a notepad in her apron. then cut me off and moved to taking my wife's order. when we finished our drink we didn't receive a refill until the food came out and after that still only had 1 refill. i asked for ketchup and she gave me an empty bottle. when my wife asked the bar tender for a new bottle she was given attitude. i enjoyed my meal but my wife's wasn't up to standards (rubbery chicken). i would have liked to tell my experience to a manager but none were on the floor touching tables. it's safe to say we won't be visiting this location again. read more

I rarely give a restaurant a one but my experience made my physically sick to my stomach unfortunately. As I'm writing this I feel extremely nauseous... My mom and I used to come to BJs all the time years ago, it was our first time back.. not sure if it's because we came on a weekday near closing time but the quality of the food was very poorly put together and poorly presented. Looked as though the plates have been sitting under the warmer for too long so everything shrunk down. Nothing matched up to what was advertised on the menu. I got the avocado egg rolls and the avocado was really brown and the wrapping looked like someone wrapped them in a hurry. Parts of it were burnt and they tasted horrible. The server was a nice guy but took 11 minutes to order our drinks, another 15 minutes to get our drinks to us and took 25 minutes to take our food order. My mom literally timed each time he came to our table. Sangria was the only good thing about tonight... not sure if I'll ever come back here or recommend come to this location. Overall BJs is a good spot with excellent customer service, prices are a little higher than I like though. Always nice inside with TVs and the bar. I got the soup and salad combo with clam chowder and Caesar salad, and a pomegranate margarita. My husband had a spicy mango margarita and lemon pepper wings and french fries. The menu has something for everyone and seems to do most of it well since the people I've dined with have all enjoyed their meals. We headed to Live Oak for dinner @bjsbrewhouse. I had rewards to redeem and this is Dad's favorite spot for clam chowder. Dad had the Strawberry Lemonade, I had Tito's with cranberry and pineapple and my husband had the Tropical Mule. Dad and I shared the half rack of ribs, which is part of the Thursday special. Our waitress was quick to take our orders and came back to check on us often. For our first time eating here, the food was good. The portion size is large. We ordered a pizza to share and a couple of dishses to try. It was hot and fresh. The kids enjoyed their meal and plenty of variety on the menu. There are many TVs hung on the wall with various games playing. A large bar is off to the left and tons of seating at the table or booths. Another time we ordered delivery via Doordash. The food was okay but definitely better served at the restaurant. If you are in the area, I would recommend grabbing a bite. It can get crowded on the weekend with a long wait time. I hadn't tried this place for so long because I was skeptical, but I am no longer a skeptic. My first time here, I tried the ribeye. Oh. My. Goodness. I like my meat cooked medium rare and it was PERFECT. So tender and juicy, and the seasoning was spot on! The potato was delicious as well. Not dry like some other places. My boyfriend got the sweet pig pizza- add pepperoni- definitely melt in your mouth delicious. Our daughter got the spaghetti. She didn't like the meatball, but I tell you the spaghetti was so good I got it on our next trip! The margarita flight had some hits & some misses. The casa migos and white peach were absolutely delicious. Not really sure how this place has only 3 stars, but I do understand that everyone has off nights from time to time. Service was great! The food was very good, but even more than the food we had amazing service. Rossi was our server. She had a large group that I know had her running as well as other tables, but she still gave the most amazing service from the second that we sat down until we left. The restaurant was crowded and getting close to the end of the night, but she treated us like we were her only customers at the beginning of her shift. This kind of service is hard to find. Todays experience was really good! Probably my best experience at B.J's! Let's start with the food! My husband got the hickory brisket burger, I got the prime rib sandwich (obviously was great because I couldn't even get a photo lol.) Today we also tried the new dip trio. It came out hot and fresh, and pretty good! I really enjoyed their spinach and artichoke dip. I've also always enjoyed the decor and how BJ's looks. As someone who has studied architecture, I enjoy a good food good looking building combination. There's a nice ambiance here. It's a nicer looking building but the prices are still affordable for families. And lastly the service. I don't think there's been a time I've had a bad serving experience here, personally, but with chain restaurants you never know! And I've enjoyed this particular times service. We even had a minor issue at our table, but our server and the management handled it very responsibly and with ease and that itself makes a person want to come back. The three times I've been to this location the hostess tried to seat me and my father next to the restrooms, even when the dining room was nearly empty. The tables next to the restrooms should be the last tables to go, not the table you take me to after passing 15 empty tables at the front and middle of the restaurant. This happened the very first time we ate there, and then the second time as well, and then this afternoon it happened again. I asked to be moved right away, but that I had to at all was kind of ridiculous. I'm usually pretty chill about stuff like this, but come on now friends. I don't think it's too much to ask, to not be subjected to the echo of toilets flushing in a half-empty restaurant while my dad and I eat dinner. It's actually kind of offended me. It happening once, I mean, okay. But all three times we've been here? I don't know if its poorly trained hostesses, staff policy, or what. Are we not the vibe you're going for or something? Why do you keep trying to sit me next to the crapper? Other than that, I do want to say that service has been great all three times we've been here -- the waiters were kind, attentive, and gave us great service. This afternoon was no exception.
