This is a beautiful, trendy spot. I enjoy the interior space design. But if you want to chill, relax, or use as a place to open your laptop and get some work done, it's not ideal. The acoustics in the building are terrible and they play the music way too loud. My name was called to pick up what I ordered and I couldn't hear from less than 10 feet away. It's also very expensive. For a cup of tea and fancy toast, it cost me over $15. read more

Wow, wow, wow!!! Beautiful space, airy, light filled and comfortable seating. Homemade biscuits with peach bourbon jam were delicious...all we could say was "yep". I was served my a Trey and he was the most disgusting gross server I've ever encountered. He basically told me I was fat when I ordered my vanilla coffee with whole milk. I've never been so offended in my life. This is why the Washington coffee industry is going to hell. It's all about image and not at all about real people who love coffee. This new spot is cool! They made us great coffee and the ambiance is cool. Neat to see young people just hanging out and enjoying themselves. They also have a small display of sustainably made clothes and other items. But, those items were really pricey... it's hard to see their coffee clientele affording ty heir clothes items. read more

Happened upon this quaint coffee shop on a trip to the West Coast. Had a latte (made to perfection) and an avocado toast with pickled onions. It was SO good I had to get something else. The rhubarb crostata was excellent and was quickly devoured. Atmosphere was bright & airy and conducive for conversation. Service was with a smile and genuine personal care. I was excited to see products such Herbivore there. However the price tags on the merchandise were more than a bit high. $300 is too much for a backpack. The music choice is eclectic but not distracting, and there is a large variety of seating options available. The space is large and aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were incredible. I really enjoy spending a weekend morning at Makeworth market with a coffee and pastry. The staff is very kind and attentive, and it is a great environment to relax and read a book, catch up with a friend, or catch up on some work. I enjoy trying the coffee "specials" for the day because they are creative and fun, and like the selection of local sweets. It definitely is a little pricy, but I am willing to pay for quality and a good experience! read more

My husband and I have been here several times. The breakfast toasts and coffee are delicious. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the refill policy. After charging $3 for a small coffee, refills cost an additional $1.50. Not worth it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

First impression of this coffee shop was great, the atmosphere was open, clean and inviting. However the the 5+ people on staff were inattentive and on their phones behind the counter while one girl was making the coffee for everyone in line. With that being said the wait was a little long for how many people were on staff. I asked for my coffee to go and was given a mug to use in house. The clothing (T-shirt's and jeans) and the backpacks were in the $60-$300 Range and random herbivore skincare, candles essential oils and notebooks they had for sale were fitting for the aesthetic the space but kind of confusing. But hey they have free WiFi and the coffee was OK! I'll have to come back later in the day for the beer they have on tap and see if the service improves. read more

Also, the barista called my name (which I thought meant my two drink order was ready) instead only one drink was ready and I had to wait another 5+ minutes for the next. Cool space, good decor, bright natural light. Great place to hang out. However, the service is astonishingly slow. We came here twice in 2 days, both times took over 15 minutes from the time we ordered (waited 10 minutes in line first). First time was for a pour over, second time for an americano. Most staff seem new and like they don't yet know what they're doing. Seems like it'll be good once they figure out how to manage the line. The market idea is confusing, because there are like 8 items to purchase. Curated hipster stuff. Definitely seems like coffee shop first, market second. read more
